After an endless barrage of ssages from Xiao Yang, Lu Lin finally figured out his intentions, especially after his last bizarre remark. Rolling her eyes, she sent him a voice ssage:

“Oh, so you’re doing this on Qu Jing’s behalf?”

“This isn’t about taking sides! I’m representing the student council. Lu Lin, your actions have disrupted other students, don’t you realize that?” Xiao Yang replied quickly, trying to maintain his authority.

Watching the exchange, Zhang Ru couldn’t help but lean closer and snicker. “Is this guy for real? He’s actually part of the student council?”

“No idea,” Lu Lin replied, barely interested. She typed back to Xiao Yang:

What exactly do you want?

Xiao Yang smirked when he saw the question. Just a naive freshman, he thought, pleased that his student council status was intimidating her. He replied:

“I’m in the student council office right now. Co here, and I’ll take you to Qu Jing to apologize. If you do that, we can let this matter slide.

“I checked the records earlier—you’re part of the Literature and Arts Departnt, right? I’m quite familiar with your departnt head, Tao Tian.

“You’re young and impulsive, but it’s understandable. Admitting your mistake shows maturity.”

Lu Lin stared at her phone, baffled. Apologize? To Qu Jing? Does she even deserve it?

“Excuse , but does she even qualify for an apology?”

“Lu Lin! What kind of attitude is that?” Xiao Yang’s tone grew stern. “I’m doing this for your benefit. If you refuse to comply, I’ll have to take more drastic asures.”

“Oh? What kind of drastic asures? Are you going to hit ?” Lu Lin mocked.

“Of course not. But if you keep resisting, I might have to issue a formal notice about your behavior on the school forum,” Xiao Yang bluffed, trying to sound intimidating.

Lu Lin nearly laughed out loud. The audacity of this guy was beyond belief. Does he really think posting about

on a forum will faze ?

Tired of the pointless conversation, she pocketed her phone and went back to playing pool with Zhang Ru.

By five o’clock, Zhou Yuwen arrived with Liu Shuo. The mont they stepped in, the boys and girls playing pool greeted them warmly with a chorus of “Brother Zhou!”

Zhou Yuwen nodded in acknowledgnt, his attention imdiately drawn to Lu Lin, who was poised to take a shot. Her figure was accentuated as she leaned over the table, and her focus on the ga was evident.

Not wanting to disturb her, Zhou Yuwen gestured to Zhang Ru to keep quiet. However, Lu Lin noticed him anyway and, distracted, missed her shot.

She turned to him with a pout. “What took you so long?”

“Just sorting out so things with Liu Shuo,” Zhou Yuwen said calmly. “You two carry on.”

Lu Lin and Zhang Ru resud their ga, while Zhou Yuwen settled into a conversation with Liu Shuo.

Today’s discussion revolved around finalizing arrangents for the model training program. Liu Shuo, however, seed more preoccupied with hiring a group of tough-looking ex-soldiers he’d recently t.

“They’re perfect for the job! Built like tanks—one look at them, and no one would dare ss with us!” Liu Shuo declared enthusiastically.

“And what, exactly, do you plan to do with them? Start a fight?” Zhou Yuwen retorted, exasperated.

Liu Shuo sheepishly scratched his head, laughing nervously. “It’s just... they could co in handy.”

anwhile, Lu Lin, noticing Zhou Yuwen’s annoyance, perched on the armrest of his chair and teasingly asked, “What’s got you so worked up?”

Zhou Yuwen sighed and recounted his day, including Liu Shuo’s antics.

Listening intently, Lu Lin couldn’t help but laugh at Liu Shuo’s knack for complicating things. “Honestly, you’re sothing else, Liu Shuo,” she said, giving him a playful eye roll.

As the conversation unfolded, Lu Lin’s phone buzzed relentlessly. Zhou Yuwen glanced at the screen, raising an eyebrow. “Soone’s persistent. Who’s ssaging you non-stop?”

“Oh, so student council guy,” Lu Lin replied nonchalantly, handing Zhou Yuwen her phone.

Curious, Zhou Yuwen scrolled through the chat log. Xiao Yang’s ssages were increasingly absurd, ranging from veiled threats to outright demands:

- “If you don’t reflect on your behavior, I’ll make sure your ti here is far from pleasant.”

- “You may not care about this, but I’ll ensure everyone knows what kind of person you are.”

- “This is your last chance. Co to the student council office and apologize, or face the consequences.”

Zhou Yuwen read through the exchange, shaking his head in disbelief. “Still about that slap?”

“Yeah, seems like it,” Lu Lin replied.

Zhou Yuwen chuckled. “Looks like his patience is running out. He’s ready to ‘play’ with you.”

Lu Lin rolled her eyes dramatically. “Can’t you handle this for ?” she asked, leaning in close.

“What do I get out of it?” Zhou Yuwen teased, smirking.

She hesitated, glancing at Liu Shuo nearby, before leaning in and whispering, “Daddy...”

Pleased, Zhou Yuwen handed her phone back. “Text him this: ‘I’m at Happy Pool Hall. Bring Qu Jing over, and I’ll apologize.’”

Lu Lin’s eyes lit up. She knew Zhou Yuwen had a plan. She quickly sent Xiao Yang the ssage, adding a voice note:

“Sorry, I was playing pool and missed your ssages. I’m at Happy Pool Hall now. If you bring Qu Jing over, I’ll apologize to her here.”

Xiao Yang, frustrated by Lu Lin’s earlier silence, now felt vindicated. So she’s finally caved.

However, he wasn’t entirely satisfied. “Why should we go to her? She’s the one who owes an apology!” he replied.

“Take it or leave it. Tonight’s your only chance,” Lu Lin shot back. “Otherwise, I’m blocking you.”

Faced with her ultimatum, Xiao Yang panicked. He didn’t want to lose this opportunity.

Calling Qu Jing, he explained, “That Lu Lin girl is a real piece of work. But don’t worry—I’ve got her cornered. She’ll apologize to you tonight.”

Qu Jing perked up. “Really? She’s finally afraid?”

“Of course. I’ll bring a few guys to back us up. Once we’re there, you can slap her back. Let’s see if she dares act up again,” Xiao Yang assured her, clearly pleased with his plan.

Qu Jing giggled. “You’re so sneaky!”

“Just looking out for my girl,” Xiao Yang replied confidently.

“Who said I’m your girl?” Qu Jing teased.

“Not yet—but soon,” he said with a grin.
