Chapter 136: President Hudson Is Impotent?

"But you can’t continue like this," began Kathleen.

"It’s none of your business. All you have to do is concentrate on my grandmother’s recovery and forget about what you saw today."

With that he rose to his feet but beca dizzy the next instant. He didn’t know whether it was the inner weakness he felt when facing the heartless Kathleen or it was the one from his last attack that stripped him of all his strength.

He did his best to force himself to stay awake. After steadying himself, he stood with his back straight, then took laborious steps to his apartnt.

Her gaze followed the departing back of the man who was obviously in need of help but pretending to be fine.

She watched until he had completely disappeared from her sight, shook her head in pity and entered her car to leave.

’What’s with the attitude? She snorted. "I’m even trying to help him, yet he doesn’t appreciate it.’

Despite convincing herself that she didn’t care, the image of Shawn pretending to be strong when he was actually in pain kept haunting Kathleen’s conscience the entire day.

"What has he been going through all those years? And why did the driver say it happened after I left?"

"I wish he had been more elaborate in his explanations. As it is now, I don’t even know who to ask?"

She took out her phone to call Dr Sullivan, he should at least have an idea.

"Hello, goddess. It’s been quite a long ti," Dr Sullivan’s thrilled voice sounded from the other end of the phone.

"How long has it been? If I rember correctly, we saw just two days ago, Brad," Kathleen couldn’t help but smile.

"It’s still over forty eight hours," he maintained. "What’s up?"

"There is sothing I need to ask you."

Dr Sullivan beca serious when he heard that. "Go ahead. If it is sothing that is within my control, I’ll do my best to give you the right answer."

’Why do I feel as if I am about to face a panel when it cos to talking about Shawn with him?’

This is mainly because of what happened the other day at Spiders ward, Kathleen concluded.

Even though Dr Sullivan had not said anything about the incident, she didn’t miss the special way he had looked at her when they t again two days ago.

She had also not been bold enough to raise the topic with him if not for what happened today, she would not have ntioned Shawn to him either.

"Goddess?" Hearing the prolonged silence from the other end, Doctor Sullivan wondered why she wasn’t speaking.

Kathleen took a deep breath. "It’s about President Hudson," she finally said.

So she’s finally ready to talk about their relationship with . His gossipy mood was activated. Who wouldn’t love a juicy gossip once in a while? After all it was the spice of life.

"Go on, tell

all about it," he prompted, which earned him a glare from Kathleen, but fortunately for him, they were separated by several kiloters so he didn’t see it.

"Are you not too old to be indulging in gossip at your age?" Kathleen rebuked. "What do you even think I want to talk about?"

Dr Sullivan scratched his head helplessly. "Don’t bla , goddess. Afterall the synergy between you and president Hudson is so overpowering that one cannot help but be interested in what is going on with you two."

"There is no synergy between us, so drop your wild fantasies before it gets you into trouble." She warned.

"But that’s not what President Hudson said the other day," Dr Sullivan argued, there was no way he was going to let go of this grand opportunity.

President Hudson had declared the depth of the beautiful relationship they shared without mincing words.

"What he said does not count," Kathleen stated in a tone that left no room for further argunts.

"If you say so goddess but I still think..."

"I would advise you to keep whatever you think to yourself. Moreover, that was not the reason I called you."

"Ok, I will follow your advice. What was it that you wanted to ask from ?" Dr Sullivan steered the conversation back to the main topic.

Kathleen sighed in relief. "Are you aware of any sickness or to put it better, are you aware if President Hudson has any psychological issues?"

"What!" Dr Sullivan’s eyes grew impossibly wide as he exclaid.

"Does he have a problem in that area? Don’t tell

President Hudson is impotent and you have not been able to do it all these while."

"Is that why you have not been paying attention to him and always at loggerheads with each other? I can’t really bla you, considering what you have to go through."

The more Dr Sullivan spoke, the more he felt his goddess had been unjustly treated.

"My poor goddess, how can you be so unlucky in this life? The only man that truly deserves you happens to not be a real man in the long run."

Steffan’s jaw dropped, eyes widening in disbelief, as if a sudden jolt of electricity had coursed through his veins leaving him montarily stunned.

He had just walked into Dr Sullivan’s office and happened to hear what he said. ’Shawn is impotent? How? When?’

On the other end of the phone, Kathleen was not spared either, but her own shock was as a result of Dr Sullivan’s imaginations that had entered a whole new level beyond her comprehension.

’What is this old man thinking about all day? She regretted calling him in the first place.

"Brad!" She yelled over the phone which eventually made the other person pause. "Can you let

talk?"

"Yes my goddess, just that I feel so aggrieved for you, do you need

to help him with the cure?"

Kathleen was lost for words. Why is it so difficult to communicate with him all of a sudden?
