Chapter 446: Chapter 445: Coming for Revenge

He wasn’t sure how much ti had passed, but the sunlight felt blinding. The lingering scent of a beautiful woman hung in the air. When Ye Fan opened his eyes, he realized Xu Jiayi was long gone.

"Where did she go?" Ye Fan was shocked she had left without a word.

He hurried outside to search for her, but he couldn’t find any trace of her anywhere. Only then did Ye Fan understand what it felt like to be a complete failure. The world was so vast; where could he even begin to look for her?

"Intelligence team, deploy!"

Ye Fan notified the Heavenly King Hall’s intelligence team. He rarely mobilized them, but this was different. He absolutely could not let Xu Jiayi slip away right under his nose.

In truth, Xu Jiayi was just upstairs, deliberately avoiding him. Watching the frantic Ye Fan from above, she murmured to herself, "I’m sorry. I chose to leave without saying goodbye. Our worlds are too different. I can’t be with the man who killed my brother. I’m leaving this place forever. This is our final farewell."

Tears stread down her face as she spoke. The mory of their night of madness made it impossible for her to face her own heart. Perhaps leaving now is the best option, she thought.

Soon, the intelligence team reported back: there was no sign of Xu Jiayi at any of the major stations, airports, hotels, or even on the streets. It was as if she had vanished into thin air.

"This can’t be right!" Ye Fan was rendered speechless. How could she disappear just like that? Where on earth could she have gone? Finding her was crucial.

anwhile, Xu Jiayi was growing impatient; she couldn’t believe Ye Fan wasn’t leaving. Little did she know, the intelligence team had already locked onto her location and would arrive the mont she revealed herself.

Just then, Ye Fan turned and spotted her on the rooftop.

"Xu Jiayi!" he shouted.

Xu Jiayi panicked, not expecting to be discovered so suddenly. She quickly retreated into the corridor, and Ye Fan imdiately gave chase.

Xu Jiayi frantically pressed the elevator button. To her dismay, it was painfully slow to arrive, and her anxiety mounted.

When the elevator finally ca, Xu Jiayi rushed inside. Her relief was short-lived, however, as Ye Fan appeared at the entrance.

Seeing her, Ye Fan asked, "Is there sothing we can’t discuss face-to-face?"

"I have nothing to say to you," Xu Jiayi replied coldly.

In the next instant, Ye Fan rushed forward and pulled her into his arms.

Xu Jiayi was caught completely off guard. Yet, in that mont, she didn’t hesitate, hugging him back just as tightly. She hated this man, but she loved him, too.

Perhaps this is what it ans to love and hate soone at the sa ti.

Upon returning to Jiangning, Ye Fan felt he had finally fulfilled one of his wishes. Since Xu Jiayi liked living in Su and Hang, he would make sure no one could ever bully her there. Not just in Su and Hang, but anywhere in the world.

With that settled, Ye Fan prepared to investigate the movents of the European Church Court. He breathed a sigh of relief upon learning that they had no imdiate plans to enter the Divine Land.

Now, he knew it was ti to fulfill his promise to an old friend. He went to et with Nangong.

"Perhaps it’s ti we headed to the Feather Immortal Sect," he said.

The Feather Immortal Sect was the source of Nangong’s nightmares. Their very first major agreent had been that Ye Fan would help him deal with them.

Nangong replied, "Chief, we can put the Feather Immortal Sect on hold for now. Your matters are more pressing. I’ve already waited for so many years; a little longer won’t make a difference."

Nangong knew Ye Fan had many other things to deal with, and he was being exceptionally understanding.

But Ye Fan shook his head. "No. I won’t be at peace until your matter is resolved. Your business is my business, which makes it just as important."

Nangong was deeply moved by Ye Fan’s unwavering stance. "Thank you, Chief!" he said.

"There’s no need for formalities between us. The two of us are more than enough to handle a re Feather Immortal Sect."

"Mm!" Nangong nodded. It was true. The two of them were more than enough; they might even be overkill.

With that, he and Ye Fan set off for the Feather Immortal Sect.

They took a luxury cruise ship back to the area where he had first t Nangong.

There were no hidden sects in this region, so Ye Fan suspected the Feather Immortal Sect was likely located in a small, self-contained world on the ocean. These small worlds had unique structures, created by mighty cultivators from ancient tis, making them invisible to ordinary people. They would remain intact even if the Earth itself were destroyed.

Ye Fan turned to Nangong. "You should know the location of their small world."

"I do," Nangong confird with a nod.

Ye Fan could feel a powerful aura radiating from him. The impending battle with the Feather Immortal Sect had finally ignited his long-suppressed desire for revenge.

As expected, Nangong led the way. When they arrived at a mysterious patch of sea, Ye Fan sensed sothing peculiar—an intense Spiritual Energy emanated from the area. This must be the location of the Feather Immortal Sect.

Standing between two sea canyons, Nangong began to chant an incantation.

Instantly, an Immortal Gate materialized before them.

"This is it!" Nangong exclaid excitedly.

The two n stepped through the Immortal Gate. The yacht turned back, its crew having been instructed by Ye Fan to return for them in three days. Although the Feather Immortal Sect was not weak, he believed three days would be more than enough ti.

The next mont, they found themselves on a desolate island. It was a truly barren place, full of rugged, misshapen rocks, with not a single blade of grass in sight. A thick aura of death hung heavy in the air. Ye Fan almost thought they had co to the wrong place; it was impossible to believe this could be the Feather Immortal Sect.

Even Nangong was stunned. Is this really the sa Feather Immortal Sect that was once like an Immortal Realm? No, this can’t be it. It’s as if a great catastrophe occurred here.

"Why? Why has it beco like this?" Nangong asked, his voice hoarse with disbelief.

The revenge he had waited so long for had culminated in this desolate scene.

"Let’s not jump to conclusions. Let’s assess the situation first," Ye Fan advised.

Nangong nodded, and the two quickly ventured deeper into the island. What was once a paradise on earth was now a barren wasteland, as if it had been scorched by fire.

Ye Fan was shocked. To scorch an entire island like this with sheer power... even I couldn’t possibly do that.

They arrived at the ruins of the Feather Immortal Sect, but the sight was disappointing. Aside from crumbling walls and rubble, there was nothing left.

Nangong spoke, his voice hollow. "It seems we were too late. The Feather Immortal Sect has been annihilated. There isn’t even a trace of them left. What kind of person could destroy such a powerful Sect?"

Though he hadn’t gotten his revenge with his own hands, the Feather Immortal Sect was already destroyed. Since its mbers were dead, there was no point in holding the deceased accountable.

But Ye Fan said, "I sense the lingering traces of a strong, overbearing power here—a tyrannical force infused with a potent attribute. This person was no ordinary expert. I’ve never encountered a master like this before."

This was Ye Fan’s deduction. To turn such a powerful Sect into this, the attacker was certainly not to be underestimated.

Nangong sighed. "Perhaps this is fate. The Feather Immortal Sect has been reduced to dust. There’s nothing of value left to investigate. Let’s go."

"Not necessarily," Ye Fan said, stopping him.

"Hm?" Nangong looked over at him.

Ye Fan pointed. "Look closely at that mountain ahead. The entire peak has been sheared off. That kind of strength is terrifying—to shatter a mountain with a single punch!"

Instantly, Nangong was shocked, and his shock quickly turned to horror.

Looking closer, he could still make out the traces of the battle. Indeed, such power was enough to shake the heavens and move the spirits.
