Chapter 397: Chapter 396: The Beauty’s Intention

Ye Fan pondered for a mont before smiling at Heather. "Yes, I have to go. I still have enemies, and I have a feeling they’re about to make their move."

"I can help you," Heather said quickly. Ye Fan had done so much for her; if he needed help, she wouldn’t hesitate for a second and would do whatever it took.

"Thank you," Ye Fan replied, "but this is my own affair. It’s a debt that must be paid in blood. With your help, I could certainly crush them, but you can’t leave, can you?"

Heather felt a pang of guilt at his words. It was true; she couldn’t leave right now. The Vampire Clan was in the middle of rebuilding, and the Bright Holy Temple was watching them like a hawk. If she, their Bloodline Ancestor, were to depart, the Vampire Clan might not be able to hold on.

Now that he had fully mastered his strength, Ye Fan was confident he could confront Divine Dragon and the Mo Sect. I won’t let either of them off the hook. In the past, I lacked the courage to challenge them and had to swallow my anger when they bullied . But things are different now. I’m fully confident; I don’t feel a shred of fear even if I have to face both powers at once.

"Can you stay with

for one more day?" Heather asked.

The request was hardly excessive. Even in a hurry, Ye Fan didn’t mind sparing a single day. "Alright," he agreed.

Heather was delighted.

Inside her Blood Clan Temple, the two sat together, sipping on fine red wine ticulously collected by the Blood Clan. The wine was the color of fresh blood. Ye Fan hesitated at first. What if this is actually blood? But the rich aroma of grapes is unmistakable. This must be a prized vintage from their collection, cellared for over a hundred years—a true masterpiece. A single bottle would cause a global sensation.

With that thought, he raised his glass and took a drink. The taste was exhilarating, igniting his taste buds. Ye Fan had always been a man who loved his wine; how could he pass up such an exquisite vintage? He and Heather finished several bottles together. The wine’s alcohol content was exceptionally high, and they both drank with great relish.

Perhaps it was the alcohol, but Heather soon leaned against Ye Fan’s shoulder. Fine wine and a beautiful woman by my side... I must be the happiest man in the world.

Just then, Heather whispered softly, "Tonight, I am yours."

The allure of her words was sothing no man could resist. Even a gentleman like Ye Fan, who prided himself on his restraint, found it impossible to resist. I have a powerful urge to take her right here, right now.

But a sliver of reason held him back. "You’re drunk," he said plainly.

Heather was annoyed. She knew exactly what he ant. So that’s his ga. ’You’re drunk, so get so rest and stop this nonsense.’

But then, Ye Fan felt a trendous surge of heat churning within him. He looked at her, shocked. "There’s sothing wrong with this wine."

It’s impossible to guard against this! As the most handso man alive, the pressure I have to endure is just too great. The wine was definitely drugged. What can I even say?

"What’s wrong with you?" Heather looked at him, genuinely alard. Ye Fan had first suspected she was acting, but knowing her, he realized her shock was real.

"Why is this terrifying heat surging through my body?" he demanded. "What’s happening?" I’m on the verge of breaking down.

"It’s not the wine. Let

see what’s wrong." Heather quickly began to examine him. A mont later, she said, "I know what this is."

"What is it?" Ye Fan asked, his voice laced with dread.

"It’s wolf poison," Heather said.

"What the hell?!" Ye Fan nearly leaped to his feet. "Wait, what exactly is wolf poison?" I’ve been worried sick without even knowing what it is. Judging from her expression, this is serious. Am I truly fated to suffer one disaster after another?

Heather shook her head. "When you fought the Wolf King, so of his blood must have splashed into your wounds. The residual wolf blood in your system has now turned into wolf poison."

"The wolf poison isn’t actually dangerous," she explained. "It just makes you more... bloodthirsty."

"More bloodthirsty?" Ye Fan stared at her, confused. Her words seem to hold a deeper aning that I can’t quite grasp.

"You’ll understand what I an soon enough," Heather said.

Ye Fan was still mystified. All he knew was that he was incredibly hot, his heart was filled with a burning desire, and his mouth was unbearably dry. I never imagined wolf blood could have this kind of effect. It’s a godsend for any man!

Frustrated, he asked, "I feel like I’m on fire. What do I do? Do you have a cure?" He desperately wanted a way out of this state.

"The cure is simple," Heather said.

In the next instant, she leaned in and kissed him, catching him completely by surprise. I never imagined a simple wolf poison could be this potent.

He let out a muffled groan; the sensation was unbearable. Deep inside, he felt a primal urge to run and howl like a wolf. Of all the things I’ve planned for, I never expected to be afflicted by such a bizarre poison. I can’t possibly bla Heather; she didn’t sche against

at all. In fact, she seems to be trying to help. If it weren’t for her, I don’t know if I would have survived tonight. What can I do? I’m just as desperate.

Ye Fan shook his head violently, trying to clear his mind. He spotted a pool of water nearby, shoved Heather away, and scrambled towards it, diving in.

Blood was already trickling from his nose. The wolf poison’s power was so overwhelming that even a formidable man like him couldn’t resist it.

Just then, Heather’s voice reached him. "You have no other choice."

As he saw her clothes fall to the ground, Ye Fan felt a wave of reluctance. Once we cross that line, our relationship will get so much more complicated.

"Don’t co any closer!" he shouted.

Despite his words, he could feel his resolve crumbling. The frigid water was failing to keep him lucid. What else could he do? He needed to vent this searing heat, and fast.

But Heather paid him no mind, stepping into the pool with him.

A sense of doom washed over Ye Fan. There was truly no turning back now.

With a final surge, he lunged forward and captured her lips with his own.

A passionate struggle unfolded between them in the water. Heather’s expression was one of pain. Despite being a physically powerful Vampire Queen, she was completely unable to withstand Ye Fan’s ferocious onslaught. By age, she had lived for a millennium, her life stretching back before the early Middle Ages of Europe, but in this domain, she was but a kitten before an experienced player like Ye Fan.
