Chapter 171: Chapter 170: Take the Initiative

"Damn it! Why is she here?"

Ye Fan was inwardly shocked. This ti, he was truly done for. Awkwardly, he said, "What are you doing here?"

"Enjoying yourself, aren’t you?" Luo Yazhi said.

I’m speechless, Ye Fan thought. Any explanation will only make things worse. If she records this, my life is over. He quickly sent the two masseuses away.

Mo Chou, however, cracked his eyes open, still relishing the massage. He glanced at Luo Yazhi, then at Ye Fan. "Ye Fan, who’s this chick you brought along? She’s a real looker. You’ve got great taste!" he remarked.

Ye Fan nearly coughed up blood. This is so awkward I could just die.

Luo Yazhi, however, simply kicked the cigar from Mo Chou’s lips, grabbed his collar, and hoisted him into the air. The action terrified Mo Chou. As an ordinary man, he was no match for her. "Bodyguards! Bodyguards, get over here and throw this woman out!" he shrieked. "Where is that bunch of useless fools?"

Luo Yazhi leaned in with a seductive smile. "Shout one more ti, and believe , I’ll cut out your tongue."

Seeing things were about to escalate, Ye Fan quickly interjected, "Don’t be impulsive! He’s Tang Yurou’s father!"

"Hmph! Dirty old man!" Luo Yazhi sneered, throwing Mo Chou back onto his seat. Mo Chou was terrified, but a new worry gnawed at him. This woman is even more stunning than my daughter. At this rate, Yurou won’t stand a chance.

Ye Fan turned to her. "What are you doing in North Arica?"

"If you can co, why can’t I?" she retorted. "I have sothing to tell you. Let’s go!"

With that, Luo Yazhi dragged him to the rooftop.

"I’m here for my sister."

"You an the Dark Night Demon Queen?" Ye Fan asked.

"Yes, the Dark Night Demon Queen," Luo Yazhi confird. "What she did in the past was unforgivable, but I can’t just abandon her now that she’s in trouble."

"Alright. What happened?" Ye Fan asked, his curiosity piqued.

"There’s a problem with her body. She’s failed to suppress the blood poison within her, and her enemies are circling like vultures. I have to help her get through this," Luo Yazhi said with a grave expression.

Ye Fan was speechless. Could it be that she failed even with the Dark-Green Crystal Stone? This is really dangerous. But who is this old rival of hers? He couldn’t figure it out.

Luo Yazhi continued, "The Green Emperor Sect is one of them."

Now, Ye Fan knew he had to get involved. Since the Green Emperor Sect was her enemy, he had to help the Dark Night Demon Queen neutralize them. Of course, ’neutralize’ doesn’t an slaughtering the whole sect, he mused. It just ans getting them to back off. The key to all of this is . He sighed.

Ye Fan looked at Luo Yazhi. "Go tell the Dark Night Demon Queen that no matter what happens, I’m on her side. I’ll stand with her through thick and thin."

Luo Yazhi smiled seductively. "I never thought you’d help the woman who almost killed you."

Luo Yazhi didn’t fully understand the history between him and her sister; it was their secret alone.

"That’s between us," Ye Fan said simply.

"Hmph! So arrogant!" Luo Yazhi shot back, holding up her phone. "I recorded everything you were doing tonight. If I post this to my social dia, what do you think will happen?"

Ye Fan imdiately caved. "Alright, I was wrong, okay?"

"Wrong about what?" Luo Yazhi asked, feigning innocence.

"Everything," Ye Fan said awkwardly. "I was wrong about everything."

"Hmph! Fine. We’ll just say I didn’t see anything tonight," she huffed.

Luo Yazhi turned to leave, but Ye Fan suddenly grabbed her from behind, startling her. "Now, it’s my turn to teach you a lesson," he whispered, before kissing her deeply. Luo Yazhi felt her breath catch. She was always most vulnerable to the advances of an expert like him, and a wave of weakness washed over her.

"No," she gasped, "not here!"

"Don’t worry, no one can see us," he murmured. "Besides, isn’t this more exciting?" He pressed his advantage.

An intimate struggle ensued, the only sound the soft rustle of clothes falling to the floor.

When it was all over, Luo Yazhi was exhausted. She couldn’t believe Ye Fan had been so shaless as to teach her a lesson this way. The worst part was, she had been powerless to resist.

When Ye Fan arrived at the gambling hall, it was already packed with wealthy tycoons, all eager to witness the prowess of the legendary Gambling King. And the Gambling King was none other than Mo Chou. Despite his low-key deanor, he had already won over one hundred million in just over an hour. When he played, he rarely lost.

"Get out of the way! All of you, move!" a voice bellowed.

Mo Chou and Ye Fan looked up to see Mo Jue striding in. Several bodyguards trailed behind him, a clear sign of his paranoia. He walked to the opposite side of the gambling table and leaned on it with both hands. "Brother," he said to Mo Chou with a smirk, "it’s been a long ti since I’ve seen you in action. To win so big right off the bat... the flair of the Gambling King is truly undiminished by the years!"

"What are you doing here?" Mo Chou asked coldly. I’d kill him right here if I could, but the ti isn’t right, he thought.

"Why, to have a ga with you, of course, Brother! It’s rare to see you in such a fine mood," Mo Jue responded with a loud laugh. "HAHAHA!"

Mo Chou narrowed his eyes. "I thought you didn’t like to gamble."

"Oh, I don’t," Mo Jue said. "But I brought soone who does."

A slender man stepped forward. "Hello, Gambling King. I am the Yuexi Gambling Saint, Smiling Tiger. It is an honor to face you."

Mo Chou glanced at the man, then said flatly, "I’m done gambling for the night."

"Scared, Brother?" Mo Jue taunted. "You’re the Gambling King. If you back down now, what will all these tycoons think of you?" He pressed his advantage relentlessly.

A murmur went through the crowd, and Mo Chou seethed with fury. Mo Jue had completely seized the initiative. Cornered, Mo Chou finally relented. "Fine. What’s one more ga?"

"Excellent! That’s the spirit!"

The two began to play. Mo Chou dominated the first few hands, but neither Mo Jue nor Smiling Tiger seed nervous or upset. It was as if this was all part of their plan.

There’s definitely sothing fishy going on, Ye Fan thought. They’re too calm. They must have an ace up their sleeve.

When the final card was dealt, Mo Chou’s face fell. His hand was one point lower than his opponent’s. He had lost. It was the first ti he had ever lost a ga since becoming the Gambling King.

"You lose, Gambling King," Smiling Tiger declared.

The hall erupted in a buzz of conversation as everyone began to question the legend’s skill. Mo Chou’s face was grim, while Mo Jue and Smiling Tiger couldn’t hide their glee. This was exactly the outco they had been hoping for.

Mo Jue put on a show of concern. "Brother, you don’t seem to be in top form. Perhaps we should continue another day?"

"Again!" Mo Chou snapped.

"Alright, alright! If you insist," Mo Jue said with a broad smile. "Let’s play again. This ti, I’ll bet one billion US dollars."

"I’ll match it," Mo Chou bit out.

He lost the second round as well. His face turned ashen as his heart sank. It was clear now that they had co prepared.

The third round ended in yet another loss.

The crowd was now openly discussing Mo Chou’s legacy. Losing once could be a fluke. Twice could be bad luck. But losing three tis in a row pointed to a decline in skill. The Gambling King’s reputation was on the line.

As the whispers grew louder, Ye Fan suddenly spoke up. "Uncle, a fourth round."

Mo Chou looked at him. He had already lost three tis; what was one more? And so, they began the fourth ga.

Just as the last card was being revealed, Ye Fan snatched a steak knife from the table and slamd it down.

"AH!" Smiling Tiger scread in agony. The knife had pinned his hand to the wooden surface.

His hands are incredibly fast, Ye Fan noted. Even I could barely see him swap the cards.

"So you were cheating!" Mo Chou roared.

Mo Jue’s face went white as a sheet. He never expected Ye Fan to catch them in the act, placing him squarely at the center of a public scandal.
