Chapter 55: Chapter 53: You Call That Empathy?

"He went in again?"

A certain patriarch asked suspiciously.

"If I had been so reckless back then, I could have settled Qin Tiannan decades ago."

This was the lant of another patriarch.

Bai Chong’an felt the most complicated emotions; he and these three patriarchs, along with Qin Tiannan, were all noble family talents from the sa era, yet only he wasted years and remains below the Divine Gaze.

Years ago, he stepped half a pace forward, and years later he still hasn’t taken the other half-step.

Inside the Fire Zone, the red sea of flas surged turbulently.

"You finally know to co in."

The Little Artifact Spirit sneered.

No kidding, the Qin Family wishes to pounce on and kill

the mont they see

now; staying outside is looking for death.

It feels much safer within the Fire Zone.

Above, eleven figures kept circling, while blades and swords flew alongside. Han Yu took one glance and cursed.

"Shaless, arranging a sword array with so many people, it must be that old fellow’s doing."

Indeed, Han Yu guessed correctly. After suffering once, afraid Han Yu might pull another trick, Second Qin set up the sword array as soon as he entered the flas.

Seven half-step Divine Gaze Elders gathered together, cautiously hovering back and forth in the sky.

Qin Tiannan hung high in the sky, his task was to quickly lock and trap Han Yu the mont he appeared.

The other mbers were responsible for locating him.

"Do you think sending a few more half-step Divine Gaze Elders down would help?"

Han Yu looked at the nearly assembled team, his eyes brightening.

"Feel free, I’m just watching."

The Little Artifact Spirit knew this wasn’t directed at it, and indeed! Just as Han Yu finished speaking, he crouched forward into the corner.

When seven Half Divine Gaze Elders flew over, the flas below suddenly roared, and instantly, seven fire pillars rose to the sky, soaring higher than them.

The seven elders were shocked, trying to escape, but the fire pillars opened instantly, like seven fiery nets crashing down.

"Quick, open the sword array!"

An elder urgently shouted, and the other six collectively launched their flying swords upwards.

Seeing seven flying swords forming a structure like an umbrella, with True Essence agitating to cover the swords, it truly resembled an umbrella.

The fiery net fell onto the flying swords but couldn’t advance, weakly pouring back.

Seeing this, the seven elders finally exhaled heavily, their faces turning ashen.

This bastard targets them repeatedly, assuming they’re easy prey?

It’s outrageous.

Imdiately, an elder expressed indignation, saying, "Why don’t we collectively clear this Fire Zone."

The other six looked at him as if he was an idiot; with the widespread fire, clear it one mont, and it’ll be restored the next, at risk of getting trapped themselves.

"This wretched creature has mastered Fire Divine Power thoroughly, deviously focusing on stealth attacks; we’re passive here."

An elder felt uneasy and worried.

Others listened too, frowning and sighing, yet no one dared suggest retreating to Qin Tiannan.

"Why don’t we conserve so energy?"

Soone whispered, and the others agreed, subtly nodding slightly.

Life is one’s own; no one wants to die here, not after their two clan brothers perished gruesoly.

Second Qin flew to Qin Tiannan’s side, worriedly suggesting, "Three Noble Family patriarchs have arrived, including Bai Chong’an. Patriarch, should we retreat?"

Though not usually afraid of them, at this crucial mont for the Qin Family, their arrival is unsettling.

Qin Tiannan had already noticed them, but never paid them mind, "The Bai lacks boldness, and the other three are opportunists. No need to worry, after dealing with this wretch, we’ll handle them."

Outside the fire, the four noticed Qin Tiannan’s gaze.

They whispered among themselves; Bai Chong’an frowned deeply.

According to the three, they intended to keep watching, at least until the Qin Family was weakened before taking action for safer assurance.

Bai Chong’an felt conflicted; Bai Jingliang sneakily shook his head, "Noble Families are all the sa; I’ve seen through them."

Bai Chong’an smiled bitterly, realizing his own son sees clearer than he does.

If they won’t act, then I’ll have to help when the ti cos; he did save my daughter after all.

Inside the sea of flas, Han Yu crouched waiting for the next sneak attack, but the seven old fellows were heavily guarded, maintaining the sword umbrella’s collective defense without retracting, making it difficult to strike.

Thus, he turned his attention to the Divine Gaze Realm, first looking at Qin Tiannan, quickly dismissing him; the man eagerly searched for his location.

Second Qin was skillful too, not an ideal target.

That fellow using Thunder series was problematic; its explosive power too strong, a careless move could backfire.

Finally, Han Yu fixed his gaze on the elder of Wind Series; yesterday’s experience showed he was impulsive and rash, crucially, wind aids fire, making him the perfect target.

Having planned, he stealthily moved beneath the Wind Series elder.

The elder remained unaware of being targeted, or perhaps fearlessly ignoring Han Yu’s tricks, searching boldly.

Soon, flas underfoot rolled, suddenly erupting like a volcano, spewing a ter-thick fire pillar, soaring and devouring the Wind Series elder.
