Chapter 206: Chapter 180: Rewards for the Exchange Tournant (Part 2)
Two people among them caught Su Ze’s attention. Although this was the first ti he’d t them, he’d long since heard their nas.
One was a short-haired girl nad Gu Yue’Er, who looked sweet and cute. She waved at Su Ze and greeted him, "Hi, Su Ze."
Su Ze had long heard that this senior, Gu Yue’Er, was the granddaughter of President Gu Chengguang. Seeing her now, it was clear her family was anything but ordinary—at such a young age, she already had her own private airport.
"Hello, senior." Su Ze put on the facade of a well-behaved puppy, returning a harmless, clean-cut smile.
’This is a rich girl, soone I could leech off of!’
The other was a young man with a sour look on his face. He had a buzz cut and a blank expression, but his eyes were filled with undisguised impatience.
However, his features were masculine and handso, and his build was powerful. He gave off the impression of a cold, aloof, handso guy.
This was Li Yongguan, the youngest son of General Li Fayi.
As for the others, Su Ze had never heard of them, but they all knew of him and his reputation.
For the exchange tournant, the team competition required six mbers per team. However, including Su Ze, there were ten students here in total. It seed so would only participate in the individual competition, not the team one.
Pei Wuhua spoke up. "I’ve called you all here today for a couple of reasons. First, so you can all get to know each other. You are the candidates selected from Dongli University to participate in this year’s Six-Nation Collegiate Exchange Tournant. If you have any objections, you can withdraw now. Otherwise, I will be submitting the final roster."
Pei Wuhua waited a few seconds. Seeing that no one was backing out, he continued, "Second, I’m here to explain the rules of the tournant.
"The Six-Nation Collegiate Exchange Tournant is divided into a team competition and an individual competition. Of the ten of you, I will be registering eight for the individual competition. Yangyang and Li Zhi are more geared toward support roles, so they will only need to participate in the team event.
"The team competition requires six mbers per team. The currently confird mbers are Yangyang and Li Zhi. The other four spots are still undecided. We’ll finalize the roster after seeing how well you all work together."
That’s what he said, but everyone understood that Pei Wuhua likely already had his preferred candidates in mind. At the very least, Li Yongguan and Gu Yue’Er, the top students from the master class, had almost certainly secured two of the spots.
"Do you have any other questions?" Pei Wuhua asked when no one spoke up.
Su Ze imdiately raised his hand. "I’d like to ask what the rewards are for placing well."
Everyone’s gaze imdiately focused on Su Ze.
’Damn, he hasn’t even gone yet and he’s already thinking about the rewards. Talk about confident.’
Pei Wuhua shook his head helplessly. In truth, he wasn’t optimistic about Dongli University’s performance in the tournant this ti. However, he couldn’t discourage everyone’s enthusiasm, so he patiently replied:
"The rewards are divided into individual competition rewards and team competition rewards. Furthermore, they’re split into rewards from the Sovereign Country and rewards from the university.
"As for the university’s rewards, because this competition is special, they will be far greater than in previous years. If you take first place in the team competition, each of the six mbers will receive a vial of a Tier 3 S-rank extract or other Evolution Items of equivalent value. If you get second or third place, the reward’s value won’t be low either, around one billion. Of course, if you only place in the bottom three, there won’t be much of a reward.
"For the individual competition, the university’s rewards are just as generous. As long as you make it into the top three, you’ll receive resources valued at five billion! There are also rewards for the top ten."
Among the ten students, including Su Ze, several were clearly tempted upon hearing Pei Wuhua’s words. The rewards this ti were on a much higher scale than ever before!
’The university is really sparing no expense!’
But those from wealthy families, like Gu Yue’Er and Li Yongguan, appeared indifferent.
Su Ze was the sa. With his current perspective and wealth, these rewards weren’t enough to move him.
Besides, he knew Dongli University had increased the rewards this ti, undoubtedly because of the slots for the Divine Dice.
Su Ze didn’t think much of the university’s rewards; he was more concerned about those from the Sovereign Country.
Pei Wuhua cleared his throat, drawing everyone’s attention. "What I’m about to discuss next—the rewards from the Sovereign Country—is the main point! Our university is focusing more on your performance in the team competition this ti, but the Sovereign Country has always placed more importance on the individual competition. Therefore, their rewards will be skewed toward the individual event.
"The top ten contestants in the individual competition will all receive a Wonder or an extract as a reward. The top three will be awarded a Tier 4 Wonder or a Tier 4 high-grade extract. As for first place, they will receive an opportunity to enter the Royal Hunting Ground!"
Pei Wuhua glanced at Su Ze, and to prevent him from asking, he said directly, "Don’t ask
what’s in the Royal Hunting Ground. I’ve never been, so I don’t know."
Su Ze couldn’t help but feel his heart race. Placing in the top three ant a chance at a Tier 4 high-grade extract. ’So what about first place? Is there a chance to get a Tier 4 S-rank extract?’
’And what exactly is inside that Royal Hunting Ground?’
’I want to complete my third evolution before the Divine Dice opens and absorb a Tier 4 S-rank skill. I have to get first place in this individual competition...’ Su Ze realized this was a perfect opportunity. As long as he took first in the tournant, his chances of getting into the Divine Dice would be much higher.
After explaining the tournant rewards, Pei Wuhua created a group chat and added all ten students, including Su Ze.
"The tournant is tentatively scheduled for the 20th of this month. You have nearly twenty days to prepare. During this ti, you should all practice together and get familiar with each other. Ten days from now, I will officially finalize the team competition roster."
After saying this, Pei Wuhua left.
It wasn’t until Pei Wuhua was long gone that Su Ze rembered: ’Didn’t he say he was going to explain the reason for the tournant being moved up today? Why did he just leave?’
Fortunately, he had already dug up so information yesterday; otherwise, his curiosity would have killed him.
Su Ze had originally hoped Pei Wuhua would reveal more details, but on second thought, ’What secrets could a re Butterfly Stage practitioner possibly know? He doesn’t even have a clue what’s in the Royal Hunting Ground.’
The tournant has been held for so many years, with a first-place winner every ti. By that count, quite a few people must have entered the Royal Hunting Ground. If one just asked around, they should be able to hear so rumors.
’Mr. Pei is unreliable!’
Su Ze calculated the ti. Today was April 3rd. There were still 17 days until the 20th. He set a small goal for himself.
—To successfully absorb the Tier 4 C-rank Iron-blooded Honey Badger Extract before the 20th!
Only then would he have a sliver of hope of digesting the Tier 4 extract in his body before the Divine Dice opened.
Mr. Ya and Mrs. Yun had both absorbed Tier 4 A-rank extracts, which was why their digestion ti was exceptionally long. The one Su Ze planned to absorb was only a Tier 4 C-rank extract, which would be much easier to digest.
Coupled with the Sun and Moon Epiphyllum Honey, which was more effective than Tomorrow Flower Petals, combined with the Swan Dance, supplented by hard work, and considering his own constitution that allowed him to digest extracts faster than others, there was a good chance he could digest the Iron-blooded Honey Badger Extract in about a month.
’I need to hurry back and improve my constitution, I can’t waste any ti...’ A sense of urgency filled Su Ze. He was about to go back to taking potions and dancing; he didn’t even plan to sleep during the day.
"Hey Su Ze, want to spar a bit and practice together?" Gu Yue’Er called out to him.
"Um, Miss Gu, I have sothing to do. Maybe next ti. Definitely next ti," Su Ze politely declined Gu Yue’Er’s kind offer and left the training hall.
In truth, if it was just about the rewards, Su Ze only needed to participate in the individual competition. The individual rewards were what he was primarily interested in.
But for the sake of a slot for the Divine Dice, he had to pay so attention to the team competition as well.
Only if the Dongli Kingdom secured more slots would Su Ze have a better chance of getting one.
Especially if he made a significant contribution to winning that slot for the Dongli Kingdom, he would be able to ask for it with much more justification.
’I worked my ass off to win first place in the team competition and brought back two extra slots for Dongli. Is it too much to ask for one of them? How could you have the nerve to refuse?’
However, Su Ze was short on ti on one hand, and on the other, he truly had no interest in practicing and building synergy with Gu Yue’Er and the others, so he took his leave.
The remaining nine students, including Gu Yue’Er and Li Yongguan, were all at the Cocoon Stage. Su Ze couldn’t shake the feeling that he could take on all nine of them at once.
With his current strength, he could completely crush anyone at the sa stage.
’What’s the point of practicing synergy?’
