Chapter 63: Chapter

"You slap your own wife in front of everyone... just to defend a maid."

Bai Ming looked at him in shock, but he just ignored her words and turned to Li Manman, patting her hands slightly to console her.

"I was apologizing to her just now... didn’t you hear ?"

He shouted once more as Fu Jia crossed her arms.

"Simple instructions, and you are still arguing. What an unfilial wife you are to your husband."

"Exactly... she has started to grow wings, thinking she can talk back to my son whenever she feels like it," Aunt Fu supported her daughter, while Bai Ming’s eyes never left Fu Fong.

"You all can see what I put up with every single day... a so-called wife who only brings problems to

and my family. She doesn’t deserve to bear my na or call herself my wife."

"Apologize again."

Fu Fong’s voice was cold and commanding, as if Bai Ming was nothing more than a servant.

Bai Ming stared at him, disbelief flashing across her face. The whispers of the other exiles began to rise around them like buzzing flies.

"What are they doing again so early in the day?"

"They are always fighting.. their family is so dramatic.. so annoying."

"Didn’t you hear ?" Fu Fong barked. "Apologize to Manman again!"

Li Manman lowered her head slightly, looking weak and pitiful, but the corner of her lips almost lifted in satisfaction.

Bai Ming noticed it.

Sothing in her snapped.

"You want

to apologize to her?" Bai Ming laughed bitterly. "To a maid?"

Before anyone could react, Bai Ming suddenly stepped forward and pushed Li Manman again.

Li Manman stumbled back with a cry, nearly falling.

Gasps rose from the crowd.

Fu Fong’s face darkened instantly.

"You shaless woman!"

His hand lifted in anger, ready to slap Bai Ming across the face.

At that mont—

Soone grabbed his wrist.

The movent was so sudden that everyone froze.

Even Fu Fong was stunned.

I watched everything quietly until now, but when Fu Fong raised his hand again, Fu Sheng moved first.

Fu Sheng stood beside Fu Fong, his expression calm but his grip firm like iron.

Fu Fong tried to pull his hand away but couldn’t.

"Let go!" Fu Fong snapped.

But Fu Sheng didn’t move.

The crowd parted slightly as I stepped forward.

All eyes turned to .

Even the head guard and his n had stopped walking. Not far away, the village chief stood with his arms behind his back, clearly entertained by the unfolding drama.

"This family truly has alot of drama hidden in their sleeves.. I will truly miss this..." He chuckled as the head guard just sighed and shaked his head.

Their gazes burned on my back, but I didn’t care.

I walked straight up to Fu Fong as he barely had ti to react when just then..

Slap!

My palm struck his face hard.

The sound echoed through the quiet road.

Fu Fong staggered slightly, his eyes wide with shock.

Before anyone could even process what happened—

I turned.

Slap!

My second slap landed directly on Li Manman’s face.

She cried out, clutching her cheek as she stumbled backward.

Silence fell instantly.

Everyone stared at

like they had just seen a ghost.

Even Fu Fong forgot to be angry for a mont.

I slowly lowered my hand, my chest rising and falling slightly.

Then I looked around at the stunned faces.

My voice was calm, but the anger in it was impossible to hide.

"Since everyone enjoys watching this drama so much," I said slowly, "then let’s make it fair."

My gaze moved between Fu Fong and Li Manman.

"If hands are going to be raised today... no one should be left out."

Fu Li and Fu Fei were the first to react.

For a mont they stared at

with wide eyes. Then Fu Li suddenly covered her mouth, but it was too late.

A laugh slipped out.

Fu Fei quickly followed, her shoulders shaking as she tried to hold it in.

The sound of their laughter broke the heavy silence.

However, it didn’t last long.

Mada Fu shot them a sharp look, her eyes narrowing slightly. She was clearly trying very hard not to laugh herself, but she still maintained a dignified expression.

Fu Li and Fu Fei imdiately straightened up, lowering their heads and pressing their lips together to keep quiet.

Beside them, Fu Teng calmly folded his arms across his chest.

He glanced at Fu Fong and then at Li Manman before nodding slightly.

"Sister-in-law has a good point," he said plainly.

The simple sentence made Fu Fong’s face turn even darker.

Fu Tong, who had been watching the whole scene with bright eyes, suddenly snorted.

"Hah! Finally soone said it," he muttered under his breath, clearly pleased.

Li Manman’s face had already turned pale from the slap. She held her cheek, her eyes red as tears gathered inside them.

"You... you hit ..." she said softly, looking like she might faint at any mont.

But this ti, the surrounding exiles didn’t react with sympathy.

Instead, more whispers began to spread through the crowd.

"Well... she did cause trouble first."

"That slap was quite satisfying..."

"Serves her right for acting so pitiful all the ti."

Not far away, the village chief stroked his beard while chuckling quietly.

anwhile, Fu Fong finally recovered from his shock.

His face burned where I had slapped him, and anger quickly filled his eyes.

"You—!"

He pointed at , his hand trembling slightly.

"How dare you hit ?!"

"How dare I?" I repeated slowly.

My lips curved slightly, but there was no warmth in the smile.

"You raised your hand first."

Fu Fong’s face twisted with anger.

"That has nothing to do with you!" he snapped. "This is a matter between

and my wife!"

Bai Ming stood a few steps behind him, her breathing still uneven. Her eyes moved from Fu Fong to , confusion and disbelief mixing together.

Why is she helping , again!

Were probably the thoughts running through her mind.. but she doesn’t know I’m a girl’s girl and I help my fellow won especially when they are married to scumbags like such.

I glanced at her briefly before returning my gaze to Fu Fong.

"Oh?" I said lightly. "Then why was the whole road forced to watch your ’family matter’?"

A few people in the crowd coughed awkwardly.

Soone even laughed quietly.

Fu Fong’s expression darkened further.

"You—"

Before he could finish speaking, Fu Sheng finally released his wrist.

Fu Fong imdiately pulled his hand back as if it had been burned.

He glared at Fu Sheng.

"Are you helping outsiders against your own family now?" he said angrily.

Fu Sheng didn’t even blink, his voice was calm and steady.

"You were about to hit soone."

Fu Fong sneered.

"So what? She’s my wife!"

Fu Sheng’s eyes grew colder.

"And that gives you the right to beat her in front of everyone?"

That single sentence made several people in the crowd nod quietly.

Fu Jia imdiately jumped in, clearly unwilling to let her brother lose face.

"She deserved it!" she said loudly. "That woman has no respect for her husband!"

Aunt Fu quickly supported her daughter.

"Exactly! A wife who disobeys her husband deserves discipline!"

She then turned to her husband, yanking his sleeve for him to say sothing, "Fu Sheng, Fu Fong is a grown man.. let him handle his household affairs however he chooses. Don’t co here causing trouble with your wife."

"Uncle Fu, aren’t you even disgusted with your words.." Fu Sheng to the man who just rolled his eyes, complete unbothered by the stupid acts his son was commiting.

"You shut your stupid mouth Fu Sheng, You and that wife of yours are such hypocrites.. jumping to co act like heroes, don’t you forget how this family gave separated.. you should not put your nose in soone’s own matter." Grandma Fu shouted as she looked at

with a disgusted expression.

"Yes.. mother is absolutely right.. he is just disciplining her, what’s wrong with that?"

"Discipline?" I repeated calmly.

My eyes slowly moved back to Fu Fong.

"In that case... should we also discipline the husband who humiliates his wife for a maid? Fu Tong, Fu Teng!"

Both of them answered at once.

"Yes, Sister-in-law!" Fu Tong said with a grin.

"Of course," Fu Teng added calmly, though a faint smile appeared on his face.

The corner of my lips lifted.

"Good," I said softly.

Then I tilted my chin toward Fu Fong.

"Grab him."

The mont the words left my mouth, Fu Fong’s eyes widened.

"What—?!"

Li Manman, who had been clinging to his arm, was pushed aside as he instinctively stepped back in panic.

"Stay back!" he shouted quickly.

Fu Tong and Fu Teng exchanged a glance.

Behind them, Fu Sheng also looked at .

Our eyes t briefly.

He understood.

Without another word, the three of them began walking toward Fu Fong.

Slowly.

Step by step.

The crowd imdiately grew excited. So people even leaned forward to watch more clearly.

Fu Fong continued backing away, his face pale with anger and disbelief.

"What are you doing?!" he demanded. "Don’t co any closer!"

But none of them stopped.

Fu Tong even cracked his knuckles loudly.

"Brother Fong," he said with a bright smile, "we’re just helping you."

Fu Teng nodded beside him.

"You said discipline is important."

Fu Fong looked around wildly for support.

"Mother! Father! Say sothing!"

But even Fu Tian looked uncertain now.

anwhile, I calmly folded my arms and stood beside Fu Sheng.

Tilting my head slightly, I looked straight at Fu Fong.

"What?" I asked lightly.

My voice was calm, but my eyes were cold.

"Don’t you enjoy discipline?"

I paused.

Then smiled faintly.

"Why don’t you have a taste of it yourself?"
