Chapter 1879: Chapter 1782: The Fight
This might be the biggest difference between European and Huaxia civilizations. In ancient Huaxia, whether they were painters or craftsn, their social status was not high, especially carpenters. Due to the complexity of social structure, many carpenters in Huaxia found it difficult to achieve the sa level of thought and technique as so ancient European craftsn.
However, Huo Sining still preferred Huaxia classical furniture. Whether it was the material, color, or even the decorative carvings, they all suited her aesthetic better. So, when Adrian and Windsor Reed were excitedly inspecting these antique pieces, she did not join in the excitent.
Perhaps it was because she had seen the diverse and heavily laden with artistic craft and historical depth of Huaxia relics, when she looked at the wide variety of Western Ocean antiques on this black market, it just didn’t feel right.
Huo Sining couldn’t pinpoint what was wrong, but she understood quite clearly that there were significant differences between Huaxia and Western Ocean antiques.
But after spending most of the day browsing, it wasn’t all fruitless. Huo Sining did find several things in this vast black market that caught her interest.
Huo Sining took out a small notebook and marked down the codes and locations of these items that caught her eye. By the evening, as it was getting late, Windsor Caesar gathered everyone to head back and stay at the hotel they had already booked in Philadelphia.
The hotel was nearby. Huo Sining and the group checked in, had a al at the restaurant, and were about to rest when Li Jun received a call. He looked up and asked everyone:
"The night is still young, would it be a waste of ti to just go to sleep? How about we hit a nearby bar? What do you say?"
Of course, this proposal was supported by Su Qingqing and Yue Shuwen, while Adrian and Windsor Reed waved their hands dismissively: "We two old fogies will pass. Bars are too noisy and chaotic, places for you young folks to hang out, not suitable for us."
Huo Sining wasn’t particularly interested in nightlife, but she didn’t want to spoil the others’ fun, so she nodded in agreent.
Windsor Caesar might seem cold and unapproachable, but with Huo Sining’s group, he was rather accommodating, not flaunting his royal status, going with the flow. He had no objections to where Li Jun suggested they go.
Li Jun was clearly well-versed in Arica. Despite not frequenting Philadelphia much, he quickly found out where the most happening bar was and led everyone there jubilantly.
Upon arrival at the bar, Li Jun beca the life of the party along with Su Qingqing and others, as if they were purposefully there to stir up the scene. Feeling a bit overwheld, Huo Sining chose to sit quietly in a corner and observe.
After a few drinks, chaos ensued, and Huo Sining, having eaten quite a bit of fruit and snacks, needed to visit the restroom. While others were having fun, she started heading towards the bathroom.
Of course, Gu Xu didn’t waste a mont and followed. The place was crazy, who knew what kind of danger might happen? He felt it was best to keep an eye on his wife.
Besides, there was a rival in love watching closely, and Gu Xu didn’t want to give him any chance.
Seeing Gu Xu’s cautious behavior, Huo Sining was a bit speechless, but she was lenient by nature and didn’t see Gu Xu’s actions as distrust or anything else. She simply turned a blind eye to it.
But after coming out of the restroom, Huo Sining was startled when she noticed a familiar figure flash across her vision.
Startled, Huo Sining hurriedly pulled Gu Xu, wanting to rush over. The bar was too crowded, and by the ti Huo Sining squeezed through the crowd to where the person had been, the figure had disappeared. She looked around but couldn’t find anyone.
This made Huo Sining furrow her brow.
Gu Xu was puzzled too: "What’s wrong? What are you looking for?"
Huo Sining hesitated for a mont before saying, "I think I saw Yan Feng!"
Gu Xu was stunned: "That master sculptor? What’s he doing here? Did you see it wrong?"
Huo Sining shook her head: "I don’t know, he was with Su Lan. I have no idea where they’ve been. They’ve been moving around all year. The last ti I saw them in Las Vegas, they said they had sothing to take care of, and then they vanished."
Gu Xu frowned and looked around; the bar was dimly lit, filled with moving bodies, finding soone was near impossible.
"Forget it, let’s just head back. You probably saw it wrong."
Huo Sining pulled Gu Xu back, but Gu Xu could still see the disappointnt in her eyes.
Unexpectedly, when Huo Sining returned to the booth where Li Jun and Su Qingqing were, things had already escalated, with Li Jun and others getting into a conflict with the adjacent booth, leading to a direct provocation from the other party.
A tall white man with a bottle of whiskey approached, noticing the striking looks of the Huaxia won like Yue Shuwen around Li Jun, his eyes lit up, and he directly tried to get handsy.
Li Jun, usually unremarkable like a scholarly type without much strength, surprisingly showed no fear in such a scenario and went straight up to land a punch on the white man.
This imdiately stirred the white man’s companions from the next booth into a frenzy, prompting them to rush over to brawl. Gu Xu and Huo Sining quickly went to help.
Gu Xu, being a forr special forces soldier, and Windsor Caesar, no weakling, faced off against the white n who were all brawn but lacked real fighting skill. As a result, they suffered a big loss.
During the day, Gu Xu and Windsor Caesar might have been secretly at odds, but fighting side by side now, they unexpectedly found a synergy, jointly striking the whites in places where it wouldn’t show. Even during the fight, they exchanged a glance, silently critical of each other’s techniques and abilities.
Previously, Li Jun, who jumped in courageously, now found himself unable to participate, watching as Gu Xu and Windsor Caesar, a formidable duo, thrashed the others until they were without fight left, nearly pleading for rcy.
However, just as they were delighting in the fight, it caused the bar’s backdoor owner to erge.
