Chapter 792: Chapter 792: Golden Bird
He then explained everything he had told him. When he finished, Ivy remained silent for a long moment.
Her fingers unconsciously rested against her stomach. Finally, she spoke.
“If that’s the case… I think making an offensive move would be better. We can’t defend Earth forever. There are too many people here whom I care about. If they die…”
Her voice gradually faded. She didn’t finish the sentence. Silas understood exactly what she meant.
His heart tightened with panic. “But what about you? You’re pregnant now. You won’t be able to fight against those people.”
Before Ivy could answer, a familiar voice suddenly echoed between them. “Don’t worry. I will protect the child.”
Both Ivy and Silas froze. They immediately turned around. Their eyes darted around the room. “Temporal Storage?”
Ivy’s expression was filled with disbelief.
“You can municate with us like this now? Before, you could only speak to us when we entered the Temporal Storage. But now… we can hear you from outside?”
The situation was extremely strange. The Temporal Storage’s voice remained calm.
“I have upgraded. The kindness points Ivy accumulated have reached a sufficient level for me to materialise outside.”
Both Ivy and Silas stared at each other in shock. Only then did they understand what had happened.
While Ivy had been willing to sacrifice herself for the entire Earth…
The kindness energy she had accumulated had surged to an unprecedented level.
The Temporal Storage hadn’t displayed any notifications at the time because Ivy had been in a deep a.
By the time she finally recovered, the notifications had already accumulated into an enormous number.
And because Ivy had been so worried about Silas and everything happening around her, she had never bothered checking them.
The Temporal Storage continued calmly.
“You may not believe this… but your current kindness points have exceeded twenty thousand trillion.”
Ivy’s eyes widened. “Twenty thousand trillion?”
Her voice was filled with disbelief. Silas, however, immediately focused on something else.
“Temporal Storage, if you can protect our child… are you planning to do it in exchange for those twenty thousand trillion points?”
The temporal storage remained silent for a moment.
“No. I only require ten thousand trillion points. As long as you transfer that amount to me… I can show you the extent of what I am capable of.”
Ivy and Silas exchanged curious glances. She narrowed her eyes suspiciously. “You’re not trying to scam us, are you?”
The temporal storage suddenly laughed. “The apocalypse has already ended… and you still think I’m trying to scam you?”
Ivy’s cheeks turned slightly red. “Alright, alright. I understand. Then show us.”
The Temporal Storage immediately responded. “Would you like to transfer ten thousand trillion kindness points to me?”
Ivy nodded. “Yes.”
The moment she agreed, a strange golden light suddenly appeared before them.
Then, something materialized directly in front of them. Ivy and Silas stared in stunned silence.
The Temporal Storage had taken physical form, but it wasn’t human.
Instead, a magnificent golden bird appeared before them. Its feathers shimmered like polished gold beneath the light.
Its tiny eyes were bright and intelligent, while its wings carried an almost ethereal glow.
For several seconds, Ivy simply stared. ‘This is the Temporal Storage?’
She honestly couldn’t connect the beautiful creature before her with the mysterious voice she had known for so long.
She slowly approached. “Temporal Storage…”
The golden bird gave her a faint, almost smug smile. Then, its body suddenly changed.
Golden feathers disappeared; its body shrank.
Within seconds, the bird transformed into a small green plant.
Ivy froze. “You can change both your appearance and your size?”
The plant’s leaves gently rustled. It was almost as though it were nodding.
Ivy’s eyes narrowed with curiosity.
“However… that can’t possibly be the extent of your abilities, right? You can transform into different forms, but what practical benefit would I get from that?”
The next moment, the small plant disappeared and returned to the bird form.
A voice immediately echoed inside both Ivy’s and Silas’s minds.
“Take me somewhere empty. Make sure there is absolutely no one around. Otherwise…”
The golden bird paused. “…you may be shocked by what happens next.”
Ivy and Silas exchanged curious glances. Their curiosity had pletely taken over.
Without wasting any more time, they followed the golden bird outside and walked toward a distant, pletely deserted area.
There was a secluded location within the base, one that wasn’t accessible to ordinary residents. Ivy had deliberately chosen this place because, in the past, she had been worried about her powers being unstable and accidentally affecting others.
Now, whenever she had something important to discuss, whenever she needed to clear her mind, or whenever the pressure around her became too overwhelming, she would retreat to this empty space.
It had gradually bee her private sanctuary. After arriving, the temporal storage’s voice echoed through the quiet surroundings.
“Would you like to build a tower?”
Ivy nodded. “Yes.”
The temporal storage continued, “Would you like the tower to be constructed using high-tech materials, such as titanium alloys, carbon nanotubes, graphene posites, and other advanced metals?”
Ivy’s eyes immediately lit up. “Yes.”
The moment she made her choice, a tremendous rumbling sound echoed through the ground.
Within seconds, a massive tower rose directly in front of them.
It was so enormous that both Ivy and Silas were left pletely stunned.
The structure stretched high into the sky, its smooth metallic exterior reflecting the sunlight like a mirror.
For a moment, neither of them could speak. The entire building was unbelievably clean.
It almost resembled one of the luxurious high-rise buildings that had existed before the apocalypse.
The difference was that this structure was far more technologically advanced. The walls were embedded with glowing panels.
Transparent screens floated in the air. Smart AI systems operated throughout the building. Even the reception desk was pletely automated.
There wasn’t a single receptionist in sight. Instead, a pleasant female voice echoed through the hall.
“Hello, guest. Would you like to rent a room or purchase an apartment?”
Ivy and Silas stared at each other. They slowly walked inside.
The interior left them even more stunned. The floors were covered with spotless white tiles. Soft lighting illuminated the corridors.
The walls were made from materials neither of them could identify.
Luxury furniture was arranged throughout the building, while intelligent systems automatically adjusted the temperature and lighting according to the occupants.
It was almost impossible to believe that such a place could exist in the post-apocalyptic world.
Ivy slowly looked around. ‘This is… this is far beyond anything humans have been able to create.’
The Temporal Storage’s voice suddenly chirped proudly.
“This isn’t even one-tenth of what I can do. I can show you things that are far more amazing.”
Ivy immediately turned toward the golden bird. “Like what?”
The next instant, countless blueprints appeared before her. They floated in the air like translucent screens.
Ivy reached out and began examining them one by one. Her expression gradually changed.
These weren’t ordinary blueprints. They were weapon designs.
And judging from the specifications, these weapons appeared capable of harming even Superior Beings.
Even if the humans on Earth didn’t immediately improve their cultivation levels, these weapons alone could dramatically increase their chances of surviving against stronger enemies.
The more Ivy examined them, the more stunned she became. She finally turned toward the golden bird. “So… this is your level?”
The bird gave a soft chuckle.
“No. This is merely the tiniest fraction of what I can do. After receiving ten thousand trillion kindness points, I’ve upgraded to the limit of what I can currently achieve.”
Ivy’s eyes widened. She stared at the bird as though she were seeing it for the first time.
“Temporal Storage… would you mind answering a few questions for me?”
The golden bird smiled faintly. “Whatever you want to ask… you don’t need to be polite with me anymore.”
Ivy hesitated before asking, “Is all of this because I gave you so many kindness points?”
The bird didn’t immediately answer. Its golden eyes merely flickered quietly.
Seeing this, Ivy decided not to press the matter.
Instead, she changed the subject.
“Where did you e from? From what I know, even the Superior Beings are aware of your existence. They’ve even tried to get their hands on you. I don’t understand what kind of existence you really are.”
The temporal storage fell silent.
For a long time, it didn’t answer. Finally, the golden bird spoke.
“One day… I’ll tell you. But remember this. Even when you believe you’ve lost everything, you will always have one final trump card hidden up your sleeve. And that trump card… is me.”
The moment Ivy heard those words, her eyes became warm. A faint smile appeared on her face. “Thank you.”
The golden bird gently shook its head. “You don’t need to thank me. I should be thanking you.”
