Chapter 791: Chapter 791: Dog Eat Dog Fight

Meanwhile, elsewhere in the base, another crisis was unfolding.

Tammy was desperately banging against the walls of her room.

Her body convulsed violently.

Foam continuously spilled from the corners of her mouth, and her muscles twitched uncontrollably.

She collapsed against the floor, her breathing shallow and uneven. “What is happening to me?”

Her eyes were filled with disbelief and terror.

‘I don’t understand. Is this happening because of the body I’m occupying? Could this body be rejecting me?’

She desperately tried to think of a solution.

After struggling for several moments, she used her ability to establish a mental connection with Princess Rayami.

‘Princess Rayami… please answer.’

She desperately tried again. However, there was no response. Tammy gritted her teeth.

‘Of course. When I need her the most, she isn’t available.’

She tried to establish the connection again, but it remained pletely silent.

If only she could send a message, she could explain everything. She could ask for help.

However, before she could think of another solution, the door to her room suddenly opened.

Coco walked inside. Tammy’s eyes immediately lit up with hope.

‘Coco! She can save me.’

Tammy desperately tried to speak. “Coco…”

However, another wave of nausea struck her. She immediately began foaming again.

Coco looked at her with an expression of exaggerated surprise.

“What happened, Tammy? Why are you foaming like that?”

Tammy desperately reached toward her.

“I… I don’t know. I’m just… Please help me. Go call Nanami. Please… ask her to e here.”

Coco nodded slowly. “Alright. I’ll go.”

She turned around and began walking toward the door. Tammy’s eyes widened.

Something about Coco’s reaction felt wrong. “What are you doing?”

Coco stopped. For several seconds, she remained pletely still.

Then, she slowly closed the door. Click.

The sound of the lock echoed through the room. Coco turned around.

A sinister smile slowly appeared on her face. “Tammy… oh, Tammy. Why are you so stupid?”

Tammy’s blood ran cold. Coco chuckled softly.

“Did you really not understand? It was me. I was the one who poisoned you.”

Tammy’s eyes widened in horror. Suddenly, everything became clear.

The meals Coco had constantly brought her, the strange weakness she had been experiencing.

The gradual deterioration of her body.

‘So that’s why… every meal… she poisoned me through the food.’

Tammy stared at Coco in disbelief. “You…”

Coco simply smiled. At that exact moment, Princess Rayami finally attempted to establish contact with Tammy.

However, the connection suddenly went dead. Princess Rayami frowned.

She immediately looked toward the crystal connected to Tammy’s soul. The crystal had developed several cracks.

It shattered pletely. Princess Rayami’s expression turned cold.

Her fingers slowly curled into a fist. “Tammy…”

…….

Inside the room…

Coco calmly looked down at Tammy.

“You want to know why I killed you? It’s simple. You’re nothing but a pest. You kept taking things from me. You kept benefiting from everything around you. But not once… did you think about giving me the Temporal Storage when you had the chance.”

Coco crouched down and began searching Tammy’s body. Sure enough, she found the jade bracelet.

Her eyes immediately gleamed with greed. “So… this is it.”

Without hesitation, she slipped the bracelet around her wrist before carefully dripping a drop of blood onto it.

The jade bracelet immediately emitted a faint glow.

The next moment, Coco’s consciousness was pulled inside. She found herself standing within the Temporal Storage.

The moment she saw everything contained inside, greed filled her eyes.

“Finally… finally, I’ve obtained what I’ve always wanted.”

She laughed excitedly. “This is mine now!”

However, before she could take another step, an oppressive aura suddenly descended.

Coco’s smile disappeared. “What…?”

She looked around in confusion. A terrifying pressure slammed into her soul.

Her vision blurred. Before she could understand what was happening, her consciousness collapsed.

….

When Coco finally opened her eyes again, an unknown amount of time had already passed.

She slowly pushed herself up. “What is going on?”

Her voice echoed strangely through the empty space. She immediately tried to leave the temporal storage.

However, nothing happened. She tried again.

Still nothing. Panic slowly began creeping into her heart.

‘Why can’t I leave? Did the Temporal Storage trap me?’

Her breathing became faster.

Then another terrifying possibility entered her mind.

‘Could Tammy’s soul still be here? Could she have survived somehow? Is the Temporal Storage capable of preserving someone’s soul?’

A cold shiver ran down Coco’s spine.

Just then, she saw a faint figure approaching from the distance.

Coco’s eyes widened.

It was Tammy. But something was terribly wrong.

Her body appeared translucent. Her edges constantly flickered, as though she could disappear at any moment.

Coco’s face instantly turned pale. “Tammy… your soul…”

She stumbled backward. “I… I’m sorry! Please! I apologize! I’m really sorry! Please don’t hurt me!”

Tammy’s translucent figure stopped. A cold smile appeared on her face.

“When you were killing me… did you think about me?”

Coco’s lips trembled. Tammy slowly raised her hand. “So why should I think about you now?”

The next instant, Coco screamed. A terrifying force slammed directly into her consciousness.

Her mind felt as though countless blades were tearing through it. She desperately clutched her head.

“Stop! Please! I don’t want to die!”

The pressure continued increasing.

Boom! Her mind pletely collapsed. Coco’s eyes became hollow.

Her physical body remained motionless as her soul was forcibly separated from it.

Now, both Tammy and Coco existed as souls within the Temporal Storage.

And the moment their souls faced one another, they immediately attacked.

The space shook violently as their spiritual energy collided. Neither was willing to retreat.

……

Meanwhile…

Silas quietly observed everything from afar. A faint smile appeared on his face.

Nanami had already warned him beforehand.

He had to make sure both Tammy and Coco died in a way that appeared pletely natural.

If Silas directly killed them, Princess Rayami would immediately realise that Silas was responsible.

So instead, they needed Tammy and Coco to destroy each other.

And the temporal storage had been deliberately placed into the equation for exactly this reason.

They already knew that Coco had always been jealous of Tammy.

Nanami had merely needed to push that jealousy in the right direction.

He had deliberately mentioned poison. He had planted the idea in Coco’s mind.

And now, Coco had taken the bait pletely.

Once the two of them had finished fighting, they had pletely destroyed each other.

The aftermath was eerily silent, with only faint ripples of energy lingering in the air.

Silas watched for a moment before deciding that there was nothing more to be done. He closed his eyes and established a mind link with Nanami.

The connection stabilised after a few seconds. “Nanami.”

Nanami’s voice came through the link. “What happened?”

Silas took a deep breath before explaining everything that had happened.

Once he finished, Nanami remained silent for a few moments before finally sighing.

“Alright. Then I will check Earth’s current progress. It would be ideal if they could bee sufficiently capable within the next year. After all, the Superior Beings will soon be sending an invitation for war to Earth.”

Silas’s expression immediately became grim.

“Is there really no other way? From the speed at which they’re preparing, there is a high chance that the Earthlings won’t survive. We need to buy more time.”

“Even though they have developed new guns and various other weapons, and those weapons are considered impressive even among the Superior Beings, I can’t deny the reality. In the end, Earth simply doesn’t have enough manpower left. The apocalypse has already taken too many lives.”

Nanami fell silent.

When he finally spoke again, his voice was calm.

“Then you need to decide. If you want to protect the entire Earth, you can wait for the Superior Beings to arrive and fight them here. But if you choose that path, you will have to fight with everything you have. There will be no opportunity for you to rest.”

“However, if you are willing to take the initiative and return to Planet Astra… then you can negotiate with them and help Ivy ascend the throne. If you succeed, there is a high chance that Earth will remain unharmed, and Ivy will remain safe as well. In any case… going to Planet Astra would be the better choice.”

Silas frowned deeply. “Give me some time to think about it.”

With that, he severed the connection. He didn’t trust Nanami pletely. In fact, he had never trusted him.

The only reason he had continued listening to him until now was that, despite his doubts, he genuinely believed that his suggestions made sense.

Silas slowly rubbed his temples. Just then, he noticed Ivy walking toward him with a bright smile.

She immediately noticed his troubled expression.

“What happened?” he asked first.

Ivy chuckled softly. “Nothing much. I just heard that Felix and Annie are finally going to get married.”

Silas smiled. “That’s wonderful news.”

His expression soon became serious again. “I contacted Nanami.”
