The mont Ivy understood his aning, her face instantly turned bright red.
She glared at him cutely before whispering furiously, "How can you say sothing so indecent in public?"
Silas looked entirely unashad.
"It was my wife who started the dangerous conversation first," he replied calmly.
Hearing his unusually sharp tone, Ivy blinked slightly.
Only then did she realize that perhaps she had genuinely touched a painful subject.
Normally, Silas resembled an affectionate golden retriever around her and almost never beca upset, regardless of what she did.
Taking a small breath, Ivy finally softened.
"Alright, alright," she muttered helplessly. "I admit my mistake."
Silas’s expression eased slightly afterward, although he still leaned closer and whispered quietly, "You still need punishnt."
The mont Ivy heard that sentence, her ears turned even redder.
anwhile, while everyone inside the party remained imrsed in warmth and laughter, soone elsewhere was preparing sothing far more sinister.
Tammy had already decided to activate the chips planted throughout Ivy’s base.
In reality, those hidden devices were not ordinary chips at all.
They were bombs secretly created by the superior beings themselves.
Once activated simultaneously, the entire base could potentially collapse into chaos.
Late into the night, after the party finally began winding down, Ivy eventually returned with Silas toward their apartnt.
At that mont, Ivy was still ntally preparing herself for whatever "punishnt" Silas had been teasing her about earlier.
However, before either of them could even settle down properly... Boom!
A deafening explosion suddenly echoed throughout the area.
In an instant, Ivy’s expression changed drastically.
At the sa ti, the temporal storage urgently warned her,
[The bombs are planted underground. If you want to suppress the chain detonation, you must imdiately spread your aura across the entire base.]
The mont those words entered her mind, Ivy instantly closed her eyes.
A terrifying aura exploded outward from her body.
Sweat imdiately appeared on Ivy’s forehead as she desperately extended her aura farther and farther throughout the entire base.
Every second mattered.
If even one bomb fully detonated underground, the resulting chain reaction could potentially destroy everything and everyone inside.
However, using the suppressant once again ca at a heavy cost.
Thin streams of blood slowly seeped from the corners of her eyes and trickled down her pale cheeks.
At the sa ti, blood stained the corners of her lips, forming a stark contrast against her already exhausted face.
Not to ntion, she had not yet recovered from the sacrifices she had made earlier.
When Silas heard the bombs detonating, his first thought was that Ivy had rushed toward the danger.
Panic surged through him as he hurried over. However, when he finally found her, he froze in place.
Ivy stood there with her eyes closed.
Blood flowed from her face, yet her expression appeared strangely peaceful.
The sight was so unsettling and heartbreaking that it left Silas completely stunned.
Without hesitation, he wrapped his arms around her.
"What happened, Ivy?"
Ivy rely shook her head.
She did not answer. Instead, she continued focusing on whatever she was doing.
Seeing this, Silas imdiately understood that she was occupied with sothing important.
Gritting his teeth, he closed his eyes and began channeling his healing energy into her body.
Warm green light flowed from his palms. Unfortunately, it was completely useless.
The blood continued flowing. Nothing changed.
A frown ford on Silas’s face. ’Why isn’t it working?’
For the first ti, he realized that ordinary healing energy might not be the solution.
Without wasting another second, he contacted Alana.
The mont Alana arrived, she imdiately understood the severity of the situation.
Alana pressed her hand against Ivy’s shoulder. Brilliant healing energy surged into Ivy’s body.
Yet the result remained exactly the sa. The blood continued flowing. Nothing improved.
Only then did Silas realize that the problem was not the lack of healing energy.
The true issue had to be sothing else entirely.
As countless thoughts raced through his mind, he found himself at a complete loss.
’I need to do sothing, but what?’
A few monts later, Ivy finally opened her eyes.
Looking at Silas, she spoke softly.
"Soone planted chips throughout the entire base. Those chips triggered the bomb detonations."
The mont those words left her mouth, silence descended.
Silas’s expression darkened. "It was most likely Benny’s work."
Alana slowly nodded. "I agree."
However, neither of them said anything else.
After all, Benny was already dead.
Even if they wanted to vent their anger, there was nobody left to punish.
With that thought in mind, they could only focus on whatever new problems might appear at any mont.
anwhile, the superior beings waited eagerly for news of the base’s destruction.
Their objective had been simple. They wanted to injure as many humans as possible and reduce Ivy’s credibility.
However, to their surprise, they soon discovered that, apart from a handful of bomb detonations, almost nobody had been hard.
Even after checking the casualty reports herself, Ivy realized that only around fifty people had suffered injuries from one of the explosions.
Hardly anyone had died.
Although there had indeed been one individual who was left half-dead, the overall damage was far lower than expected.
More importantly, nobody in the base blad Ivy.
Instead, they reached an entirely different conclusion.
They believed that hidden terrorists had sohow infiltrated the group and planted the explosives.
Hatred toward those unknown terrorists quickly spread throughout the base.
The anger beca so intense that people voluntarily began searching for anyone suspicious.
As a result, several individuals who genuinely intended to cause trouble were discovered and captured.
Ironically, Ivy ended up benefiting slightly from the incident.
However, such a small victory was nowhere near enough.
Only one thought remained in her mind.
’If I ever get the chance, I will find those superior beings myself. And when I do, I will make them pay.’
At that very mont, the superior beings were thinking sothing remarkably similar.
They were growing increasingly frustrated.
Ti and ti again, Ivy managed to escape every trap they prepared.
So of them had even begun wondering whether she possessed so mysterious ability that allowed her to avoid danger altogether.
