Alright. The world clearly thinks that I’ve been in the present ti for long enough to shove another fissure at . And honestly, I don’t mind. It won’t be any trouble at all.

Sadly, despite my crazy level and skills, I still can’t fix a fissure myself. I can contain one, sowhat. Like if I’d find a presign of a fissure, I could slow down how it progresses. But I can’t stop one.

Now you might want to ask, can’t Ti Magic stop it? And the answer is no. The dinsional barrier goes beyond the four dinsional space Ti and Space Magic can influence. So I can’t really do anything about it. The four dinsions naturally being the three dinsions that make up space, with ti as the fourth dinsion.

And while I did try to get into dinsional magic during my ti in the past … it just is crazy complicated. I an, even amongst my monsters, only very few know even the basics.

The two Cosmo Queens are two of the few monsters that both can use Dinsional Magic and can teach it. But even they aren’t at the level where they can influence the Chaos God Dinsion. Thus they can’t affect the dinsional barriers.

[collapse]

And you might say ‘just have Exodia teach you’. Yeah… that won’t work. Exodia is a divine spellcaster who is basically immortal and is dangerous enough that the Gods of the Yugioh world sealed him away in armor that restricts how strong he can be. And that wasn’t even enough, since they then split his armored self into five separate pieces

So a lot of what Exodia can do are things he just knows how to do. Being immortal and split into five does co with advantages.

But anyway. Enough about my inability to deal with multi-dinsional problems. I have a fissure to solve.

And I was doing it solo. I just didn’t want any of the girls to accidentally get in the way. I probably wouldn’t hurt them, but I’m not taking any chances.

Now, taking care of the monsters from the fissure was no problem. I clapped them as fast as they spawned with Gravity Singularity Chain.

Yes, it does damage. And since the chain decides how gravity affects it, it can move extrely quickly. I just alter how gravity affects it, and it accelerates to crazy high speeds.

Also, that sucker is dense. No, it isn’t black hole dense, despite the na. But it is way denser than any natural material.

And in case you wanted to know, I tried to asure the mass of my chains, and it is around 200 tis more dense than adamantite. And adamantite is basically tungsten.

So while my chains do have a limited amount of mass, since they control their gravity, they theoretically have infinite weight.

And clapping a monster with the densest chain on the planet, which also is traveling at a few hundred ters a second, is pretty much an instant kill on anything.

So that is how I dealt with the fissure. Now let’s return ho and open so packs. Because, and this is actually the truth, it's been 79 years since I got a new card from a pack I opened.

And the set I got is The Dark Illusion.

TDIL 1

Dragodies, the Empowered Warrior; Triamid Fortress; Scapeghost; talfoes Orichalc; Fairy Tail - Snow; Totem Five; Forbidden Dark Contract with the Swamp King; Paleozoic Anomalocaris; Triamid Master

[collapse]

Aah. New cards. … and one that I already had, but whatever. 8 new cards are still 8 new cards.

Dragodies, the Empowered Warrior doesn’t empower anything. It either halves the attack of an opposing monster or it searches for a warrior or a spellcaster, when destroyed.

Triamid Fortress is an okay Field Spell. Defense boosting and card effect protection are nice.

Scapeghost is the repeat. I got it as the Shining Victories: Special Edition reward for completing Shining Victories.

talfoes Orichalc is nice enough. Double piercing is nice, as is a pop when this thing is destroyed.

Fairy Tail - Snow is pretty busted in the TCG, but for my use it is just alright.

Totem Five is a situational board wipe with burn. So yes it can be strong, but lets be honest, I have better options.

Forbidden Dark Contract with the Swamp King is a ‘stronger’ version of Dark Contract with the Swamp King. Or it tries to be. The og version is actually better.

Paleozoic Anomalocaris is a pretty basic Paleozoic. It works with Trap monsters, but even then it isn’t that crazy.

And Triamid Master can destroy set cards, and trades your Triamid Field Spell for another.

Next pack.

TDIL 2

Paleozoic Hallucigenia; Performapal Inflater Tapir; Blackwing - Gofu the Vague Shadow; Paleozoic Pikaia; Heavy Freight Train Derricrane; Revolving Switchyard; Red Warg; Premature Return; Triamid Cruiser

[collapse]

Paleozoic Hallucigenia is a Paleo. They all operate basically the sa. They have an okay trap effect, and then they can special summon themselves from the GY as normal monsters. Hallucigenia specifically is not the best Paleo there is. Halving the attack of stuff is kind of 2006 stuff, not 2016 stuff.

Performapal Inflater Tapir is a sucky Kuriboh wannabe.

Blackwing - Gofu the Vague Shadow is really fricking good. Just a free special summon and you even get two tokens. And the GY effect is also really nice.

Paleozoic Pikaia lets you draw 2.

Heavy Freight Train Derricrane is amazing. The Rank 10 engine that works with Revolving Switchyard, getting to that in a second, is really fun to play with. Sure it might not be the best, but it works and is casual fun. And Derricrane is what really makes it as good as it is. Since it pops a card when detached from an Xyz monster, it can allow for so interesting disruption, in addition to whatever Xyz monsters effect you just activated.

Revolving Switchyard might be just a consistency boost, but that is perfectly fine. The deck needs it. Sadly for … not that great.

Red Warg is a free special summon in a Resonator deck.

Premature Return is no Return from the Different Dinsion, but it is good. Special summoning banished stuff is sothing I couldn’t do all that generically. I an, Dinsion Fusion and RftDD were both options, but they are mass resurrection. Premature Return is targeted.

And Triamid Cruiser is good. LP gain and draw power.

Next pack.

TDIL 3

Assault Blackwing - Sohaya the Rain Storm; Blackwing - Tornado the Reverse Wind; Frightfur Sanctuary; talfoes Steelen; Dinomist Ankylos; Performapal Life Swordsman; Ninjitsu Art Notebook; Luna Light Perfu; Illusion Magic

[collapse]

Assault Blackwing - Sohaya the Rain Storm specials an Assault Blackwing Synchro from the GY when summoned. It can also special itself from the GY on the turn it was sent there.

Blackwing - Tornado the Reverse Wind specials a Tuner from the GY when normal summoned.

Frightfur Sanctuary is … expensive for what it does. Sure it sets up your GY for Frightfur Chira, but that’s basically it.

talfoes Steelen can set talfoes Spells and Traps directly from the deck.

Dinomist Ankylos can negate a targeting, activated effect.

Performapal Life Swordsman is funny with Gift Card. Because that ‘combo’ gets you a 3k attack level 1 monster.

Ninjitsu Art Notebook can set Ninjitsu Art cards from the deck.

Luna Light Perfu specials a Lunalight from the GY.

And Illusion Magic lets you add 2 Dark Magicians to the hand.

Next pack.

Spoiler

TDIL 4

Empowernt; Super Hippo Carnival; Performapal Extra Slinger; Blackwing - Tornado the Reverse Wind; Wrecker Panda; Performapal Life Swordsman; talfoes Silverd; SPYRAL GEAR - Drone; Tyrant Red Dragon Archfiend

[collapse]

Empowernt is a pretty decent Field Spell. I an, any Field or Continuous Spell that lets you special from the deck once per turn is automatically quite nice.

Super Hippo Carnival … just run Scapegoat instead.

Performapal Extra Slinger does burn damage and can destroy stuff.

Wrecker Panda mills the top card of your deck, and gains attack if that card was a monster. But it does it during the standby phase. And when destroyed, it lets you add from GY to hand the monster with the lowest level. So it doesn’t even have the decency to special summon the monster.

talfoes Silverd also sets talfoes spells and traps.

SPYRAL GEAR - Drone is nice consistency for SPYRALs. And it is a drone, so I might be able to improve my drones with it.

And Tyrant Red Dragon Archfiend is great. 3500 attack. Can destroy all other cards on the field. And can negate spells and traps during the battle phase, and gains attack when it does. Wish I had had it during my ti in the past. More good practice partners.

Next pack.

Spoiler

TDIL 5

Performapal Extra Slinger; Performapal Life Swordsman; Unified Front; Performapal Inflater Tapir; Magical Mid-Breaker Field; Performapal Bot-Eyes Lizard; Black Dragon Ninja; Triamid Cruiser; Subterror Behemoth Umastryx

[collapse]

Unified Front is bad. It can either be used to weaken an opposing monster or buff your own. But you need to both use a trap and discard a monster. So in short, not worth it.

Magical Mid-Breaker Field protects monsters and prevents Field Spells from being set or activated.

Performapal Bot-Eyes Lizard can take on the na of an Odd-Eyes monster.

Black Dragon Ninja is just not worth using.

And Subterror Behemoth Umastryx can banish stuff. It also looks fricking huge.

Next pack.

Spoiler

TDIL 6

Black Dragon Ninja; Blackwing - Gofu the Vague Shadow; Performapal Radish Horse; Performapal Bot-Eyes Lizard; Fairy Tail - Snow; Pendulum Hole; Frightfur Sanctuary; Triamid Master; Nirvana High Paladin

[collapse]

Performapal Radish Horse actually has so decent attack altering effects. It can also special summon itself.

Pendulum Hole I already had, got it from the challenge.

And Nirvana High Paladin… It is fine, but holy god it has too many words on the card. And I know it isn’t even the worst of all of the Pendulum monsters. I an, it is good. Halving HP, getting a card back from the GY. Even the Pendulum effect is decent. But still it doesn’t do enough. You should have given it targeting and destruction protection at least.

Next pack.

Spoiler

TDIL 7

King Scarlet; Blackwing - Gofu the Vague Shadow; Pendulum Hole; Paleozoic Pikaia; Fairy Tail - Snow; Performapal Extra Slinger; Dark Magic Expanded; SPYRAL GEAR - Big Red; Magician of Dark Illusion

[collapse]

King Scarlet lets a Red Dragon Archfiend survive a battle and then summons itself as a level 1 Tuner.

Dark Magic Expanded gives an attack boost, protects your Spells and Traps, and finally your Spellcasters. If you have a sufficient number of Dark Magicians on the field or in the GY.

SPYRAL GEAR - Big Red specials a SPYRAL from the GY.

Magician of Dark Illusion specials itself from the hand and then can special a Dark Magician from the GY.

Next pack.

Spoiler

TDIL 8

talfoes Counter; Super Hippo Carnival; Black Dragon Ninja; Performapal Extra Slinger; Blackwing - Gofu the Vague Shadow; Fusion Fright Waltz; Empowernt; Ebon High Magician; SPYRAL GEAR - Big Red

[collapse]

talfoes Counter specials a talfoes monster from the deck.

Fusion Fright Waltz is a super situational field wipe with potential for tons of burn. But it is way too situational.

Ebon High Magician can do a lot. It lets you activate Traps from the hand on the turn it is summoned. And when destroyed, it specials a Dark Spellcaster, and destroys a card.

Next pack.

Spoiler

TDIL 9

Zap Mustung; Red Mirror; Triamid Fortress; talfoes Counter; Paleozoic Pikaia; Destruction Sword mories; talfoes Orichalc; Ebon High Magician; SPYRAL GEAR - Big Red

[collapse]

And this is what I didn’t miss about opening packs. Getting the sa rare 3 packs in a row. And the sa super rare as well.

Zap Mustung is really limiting, but it is difficult to summon. And as I’ve said many tis, I’d rather not limit my own summons.

Red Mirror recovers Fire Fiends from the GY.

Destruction Sword mories specials Buster Blader from the deck, and can banish itself and the materials needed for the Buster fusion to summon that fusion.

Last pack of the day.

Spoiler

TDIL 10

Unified Front; Revolving Switchyard; Card of the Soul; talfoes Orichalc; D/D Savant Nikola; Fairy Tail - Snow; Paleozoic Pikaia; Block Dragon; Illusion Magic

[collapse]

Card of the Soul is a really cool search card. Sure it might seem super specific, and maybe it is. But you can add Obelisk the Torntor to your hand if you have the starting 8000 life points.

D/D Savant Nikola can boost the attack of a D/D monster you control by 1k. And if it is destroyed while a scale, it lets you set up new scales.

And last, Block Dragon. It's great. Decently easy to summon and it searches for 3 monsters when it is destroyed. Sure it needs a specific deck, but in that deck, it is an amazing monster.

But yeah. It was great opening packs with new cards again. Even if Big Red wanted to sowhat sully the experience.
