So I think a few of these need an explanation. Let’s start with Demon. I got it when I was playing Anastasia, and it ca with the ‘false’ modifier race.
Artificial isn’t the sa as false. Artificial ans that you are truly of that race, but you weren’t born that way and you didn’t evolve into it through natural ans. You might recall that Haji had it.
False anwhile ans that you aren’t quite a mber of that race. Again, Power Structure 2 has that Modifier race. For , false is basically useless, but Artificial actually has an interesting use I'll tell you about later.
Kitsune is just Kitsune. You should know what a nine tailed fox is, considering that Unika is one.
Dragon-kin and True Dragon aren’t as crazy as they seem. They are sothing I can already do with Dragonic Body, but the races act as shortcuts.
Magic and Nature are just modifier races. I keep Magic on basically always, as it makes casting magic a bit easier. anwhile Nature is nice with so races, but not so much with others.
Destroyer is another you might be interested in. It cos from Erasure Magic.
Healer ca from Healing Touch, and it is for those who heal a lot, but do so without using Holy Magic. So a real Lua race, had she not gotten her Saint title.
I think I’m finally done with everything regarding the past. I hope.
And I’m also done with Pack Opener until the next fissure.
But you know what I’m not done with? Yugioh.
I played plenty with Laura, Tahlia and Fantasia during my ti in the past, but even if we change decks and other things, it isn’t the sa as playing against random people. So, tournant ti.
Yes, I decided to host another tournant. This one is of course Xyz thed. Thus, the big rule of this tournant will be the ‘Sphere Field’. And no, I don’t an the Nuron Code ability, even if it shares the sha na.
See, in the ani, there was one duel held under the ‘Sphere Field’ rules. Yuma vs. Vetrix.
And if you rember that duel, you might rember the special rules it had. It was actually quite the simple one.
Both players can Xyz summon using two monsters with the sa level in their hand as the materials. This will summon a random ‘Number’ Xyz monster from their extra deck, and the monsters used as material will be attached to that monster as overlay units. And if a monster summoned this way has no more overlay units, that monster is automatically destroyed.
Simple, right?
So I decided to use that as a base for my next tournant. But, I added a few more rules.
First, instead of this ‘from your extra deck’, I instead made the ‘Sphere Field extra deck’. This extra deck contains a copy of each Number monster from 1 to 100. Admittedly I don’t have them all, but I’ll fill in the blanks.
You can’t summon these monsters, except by using the Sphere Field. Also, unlike the Number monsters you can have in your deck, the Numbers in the Sphere Field will have the ani effect where they can only be destroyed by battle with a Number monster. The regular deck Numbers won’t have it, but since they will still be Numbers, you can destroy a Sphere Field Number with a ‘regular’ Number.
I’m also calling all of the Sphere Field Numbers ‘SF Number’ monsters, just to show that they are different.
Now, the SF Numbers can be ranked up into Number C monsters. You can also Rank them up into ‘SF Number C’ monsters, with all of the SF Number C monsters also being held in the Sphere Field extra deck. So I’ll be making a Chaos form for each Number monster. Because I like them.
And SF Number C monsters still follow the rules of the Sphere Field. So cannot be destroyed by battle, except with a Number monster. And that the monster is destroyed if it runs out of overlay units.
Oh, and one last thing. That dies when out of overlay units ignores any abilities the monster has. So even if sothing is ‘cannot be destroyed by card effects’, the Sphere Field will still kill it.
… actually, one more last thing. SF Numbers, when they die, go into a shared GY. So either player can access them from there and they count for effects and such. And if you summon an SF Number from there, it is not under the Sphere Field rule where it dies when it runs out of overlay units. You know, because it wasn’t summoned using the Sphere Field.
As for the Rank-Ups, I’m allowing 5 of them. Barian's Force, Nuron Force, Quick Chaos, Argent Chaos Force and Astral Force.

Now, Astral Force can’t actually be used with the SF Number C monsters, as you have to rank the correct Number into the Number C monster. But I did make it available, in case anyone wants to run Utopia Beyond. Or so other Rank-Up strategy that appreciates the card.
There are also a few custom Rank-Ups I made. One is Rank-Up-Magic From the Grave. It resurrects an SF Number from the GY and ranks it up into a Chaos Number. And yes, it only works with SF Numbers.
The other is Rank-Up-Magic Final Number. It specials a random Number from the Sphere Field and then instantly ranks it up into a SF Number C monster. But you have to reveal it during your standby phase to be able to activate it. So it is basically my version of Rank-Up-Magic - The Seventh One. Except that Final Number is easier to activate, since all you have to do is reveal it during the standby phase. And it doesn’t have to be the first card you activate either. But unlike Seventh One, you get a random Number, so don’t expect anything too great.

And maybe expect that my deck will be running a modified version of the Seventh One. Because you better believe I’m coming into this tournant with my own custom Galaxy-Eyes deck, running all three versions of the Dragon. Photon, Tachyon and Cipher.
Now, there is a minor problem with that. I don’t have any Cipher monsters, except the Dragons. But I’ll have to basically make a custom deck anyway, so it isn’t that bad.
I an, not like I can run that Cipher spell that doubles the attack of my monsters if I have two of the sa nad monsters on the field. Instead, I might make a custom card that allows Photon, Tachyon and Cipher monsters to destroy SF Numbers, and doubles their attack when they battle a SF Number. But that second one is once per turn trigger for ‘balance’ reasons. I need to see if that is necessary when we test these rules.
So now that I had a concept, I just had to open up signups and then co up with qualifiers.
And for the qualifiers, I decided on doing sothing I did in the past. Yugioh puzzles. So basically, you are given a board state in Yugioh, and you have to ‘solve’ it. Each has multiple answers, but depending on how well you do, you get more points. You know, winning that turn gets the most points. Surviving the turn and doing a lot of damage gets you a lot of points. Surviving the turn while doing less damage gets you less points. Just getting past the turn gets you even less points. And losing gets you no points.
Naturally the highest scorers get to enter the tournant.
And as I said, I did these sorts of puzzles with Fantasia during my ti in the past. Sadly not that much with Tahlia, she is way too good at them. Bla her being analytical and being able to calculate the best results basically always. Fantasia is a lot more emotional in how she acts, so she just … goes with the flow. It does make her the more fun dueling partner, as she does random stuff and her decks aren’t min-maxed like Tahlia’s. But that might just be .
In other news, before the tournant could ever co to be, Alice’s birthday ca.
And naturally it was a big celebration. And extra big, since Alice turned 18.
Sure 18 isn’t special in this world, but for , it ans she is now an adult.
Now I won’t cover everything, but there are a few things worth ntioning. First, her breakfast.
I had brought so interesting things back from the past, one of them was a form of tartar sauce. Sothing that sadly could no longer be made on this continent, as one of the spices it required was no longer grown anywhere.
The sauce was made by a wife of a rchant using a form of seaweed he traded the aquatic races living around the Hero’s country for. And no, it isn’t technically seaweed, as that ‘sea’ is a lake with freshwater, not saltwater.
But yeah. The plant only grew in that lake, so after Haji’s business, there was no one left to take care of it, and it died out. Laura did check the System records and two of the other continents do have lakes that still grow the plant, so it isn’t extinct. Just not sothing that grows here. Well, it will be soon enough on HoBase. We just need to modify a section of the CropFields for underwater plants. Or maybe even make a new floor into the underwater garden.
The at we ate was whale at. Yes, there are whales in the oceans, yes they are monsters, yes they are massive. And they taste quite nice.
And sothing aquatic was best with tartar sauce.
Now, as for my gift, I brought out a book I had made for her. It detailed all of the unique spells Arcadia made during my ti observing her. Which was quite the list, so the book was long. I also made a practice room in the Factory where Alice can watch the mories of Arcadia performing the spell and then test them out herself.
As I said a few days ago, I had a long list of gifts for her, but this is probably the most useful for the mont. And it would be useful for Alice to learn how to strip people of their skills. We might be able to do what the Hero attempted with Haji, to the Power Structure holder. You know, strip away all of his skills and levels instead of killing him.
Now outside of those things, there really isn’t anything that crazy that happened on Alice’s birthday. Thank God. Mine and Janina’s already had problems, Alice’s doesn’t need any.
