Chapter 574: Chapter 576: Jump Transition, The Arrival of Decay
“They actually put all the knowledge into the Library System, it seems the escape was indeed hasty,” Qin Muye observed the various pieces of knowledge he had acquired, feeling quite surprised. The encryption was there, but due to the rush, it didn’t seem very ticulous.
“And there’s also so knowledge from the Alliance of All Things. It looks like things fell apart quickly, but not everything was lost.”
“It’s just not very complete; it would’ve been better if it was.”
In terms of technology, the Alliance of All Things definitely demonstrated a diversity of innovations. It was a coalition of various civilizations, so naturally, there would be differences in technology.
However, so civilizations perished too quickly, leading to many things being unable to be uploaded in ti.
“It seems the Star Gods really have no intention of continuing to pursue the Hotown. This is sowhat peculiar.” Whether through the main body or the news from the Hotown, this fact had beco apparent.
Currently, the main body is also investigating why, which is indeed a significant concern.
“Attention all citizens, space jump will comnce in thirty minutes. During this period, normal phenona such as vibration and distortion may occur, and individuals may experience dizziness, blurred vision, nausea, and other symptoms. These reactions are considered normal. If you feel unwell, please refrain from going outside.”
“Attention all citizens…”
“…”
This ssage repeated three tis, eliciting a burst of joy from everyone aboard the Hotown. Things were finally back to normal.
As long as space jumping was possible, heading to the Unknown Star Domain would not be indefinitely delayed. With the Hotown’s jump capability, at most three jumps would reach the border of the known star domains.
The technology of the Hotown should not be underestimated. Previous jump failures were due to the pursuit of the Star Gods and changes in cosmic paraters, which led to the inability to jump, otherwise, it would have reached the Unknown Star Domain long ago.
Although they didn’t know what was in the Unknown Star Domain, being able to evade the Star Gods was a good thing in itself.
An uncertain future wasn’t necessarily bad for them.
“Thirty minutes to prepare. Such intense jumping couldn’t possibly an they plan to jump directly to the border between the Unknown Star Domain and the known one,” Qin Muye was, of course, aware of the jump preparations, and knew thirty minutes was far from necessary; normal jumps took no more than a minute.
As for why not jump directly into the Unknown Star Domain, it’s simple: everything there is unknown, so wouldn’t jumping in directly be suicidal?
The reason they dare to jump within known star domains is that they have complete data available and don’t need to worry about accidents. Even if the Hotown’s leaders don’t care about the lives of those below, they must care about their own. If they wrecked the Hotown in there, they would also be without a place to live.
The Hotown is more than just a spacecraft; it is key to rising again in the future, holding the legacies left by three major powers, enough to rebuild a civilization.
If it were lost, the leaders would be troubled, too. Without sufficient Technology Civilization, even if they struggled from scratch as eighth-tier entities, who knows how many years it would take to restore the civilization to its peak.
Without the backing of major powers, they wouldn’t be able to secure enough resources. Do you really think they can co across every Heavenly Material and Earthly Treasure they need just like those protagonists?
So unless their own survival was at stake, the leaders would definitely fight desperately to protect the entire Hotown and everyone on it, because that’s the resource for their future.
Thirty minutes passed in a blink, and Qin Muye, inside the Library, could feel a slight vibration as the space jump began.
But soon, the vibration stopped, not because the jump had failed, but because it had already been completed in just two seconds—an entirely expected duration. They surely couldn’t be expected to endure a jump for ten days to a half a month.
Not feeling anything was normal. Being a strategic fortress, all the technology employed was top-tier, and any space-tear sensations or dizziness would be embarrassingly inferior.
Qin Muye opened up his Perception, aware that the Hotown was heading towards the Unknown Star Domain, enshrouded in a vast expanse of darkness.
There was no brilliance at all, even the stars seed dim.
“Ah, this… it seems there are no luminous bodies?” Qin Muye was puzzled; normally, there should be luminous bodies, but here the division was clear.
Furthermore, he noticed that the luminous bodies on the edge of the Unknown Star Domain in the known universe hadn’t been extinguished by the Star Gods, but rather, all Life Forms had been eradicated.
It was as if these luminous bodies were used to fend off the darkness of the Unknown Star Domain.
“Unfortunately, even the Star God didn’t know why, just that it followed its instincts,” Qin Muye couldn’t help feeling helpless. He had just received a ssage from his original body that the Star God was also unclear why they stopped pursuing; it was just decided by so will in the obscurity.
The original body initially suspected that it was the Cosmic Will, the Gestalt Consciousness that made the decision, which is why they stopped their actions.
“Forget it, regardless of these things, the good stuff is in our hands anyway, and even in death, there’s profit to be had.” Qin Muye had already transmitted the knowledge of the three great civilizations back, an unexpected delight indeed, since he himself was on a suicide mission.
The spaceship Hotown slowly entered into darkness. Not everyone was like Qin Muye and could see the status of the Hotown; most people only knew that it had left the known Star Domain.
The dense darkness made the high-ranking officials who could witness this scene look rather grim. No wonder it was called the Unknown Star Domain and no wonder no one had explored it.
The dreadful silence within the Unknown Star Domain is not like the calm imagined by ordinary people; instead, it resembles the gaping maw of an Evil Beast.
In the past, they hadn’t truly witnessed it, because they had also subconsciously ignored these Unknown Star Domains.
Upon closer consideration, it seems the entire known Star Domain is enveloped by the unknown.
But there’s no way to go back now; they can only charge forward with resolve.
After entering the Unknown Star Domain, Qin Muye could clearly perceive that the entire Hotown was in a state of massive disorder, with both the System and the Energy experiencing severe mutations.
To Qin Muye, it felt like an electronic device imrsed in water. Thankfully, with the cooperation of an 8th-rank chanic and artificial intelligence, the Hotown quickly recovered.
“Paraters ineffective, spatial leap thoroughly wrecked, and this darkness isn’t just a visual darkness, it’s more like a mutation in the energy field,” he realized.
“Inside the Hotown, it’s tolerable, but one would need at least C-rank strength to survive outside, otherwise, one would be killed by the radiation of the energy field.”
“So of the energy sources are wrecked, likely due to environntal factors.”
Qin Muye quickly analyzed that the multitude of issues that began assailing the Hotown upon its entry into the Unknown Star Domain. If not for the nurous chanics of the 8th rank holding it together, it would have already perished.
“It feels like we’ve entered another world, not just unaccustod to the environnt, but to the rules as well.”
“If this is indeed true… doesn’t that an the periphery of the cosmos actually borders another world, and possibly that world is one that has already perished?” Qin Muye speculated wildly.
He had already inford his original body, which was rushing towards the border between the known and Unknown Star Domains. This was not sothing he could discern; the original body needed to co and see for itself.
“If proven, that could explain why the Cosmic Will cannot do anything about this Unknown Star Domain—it simply isn’t within the Cosmic Will’s power to deal with.”
“Luckily, we discovered it in ti, and there is still an opportunity to act.”
As the Hotown continued to advance, Qin Muye could sense slight changes in the overall environnt. The changes were not significant and might only be perceptible to a keen, high-ranking S-rank Transcendent.
“Decay? No, it should be described as rot.”
“The entire spaceship Hotown is rotting away little by little, like a person aged over fifty years old.”
The scale is not extensive for now, perhaps only a few Transcendents with sharp perception could notice it.
Qin Muye is extraordinary in his Talent. Otherwise, only his original body could have sensed these changes; a re avatar like him certainly couldn’t have.
“In one day at most, all of the 8th rank will have discovered it,” Qin Muye estimated the rate of decay, but by that ti, it would be too late.
Through his connection with the original body, he keenly discovered that the units of spatial distance in this Unknown Star Domain seed problematic.
According to the speed of the Hotown, the current journey had already greatly exceeded the original progress speed, as if what was originally one ter now randomly beca ten or a hundred ters in stride.
But since the 8th-rank Transcendents in the Unknown Star Domain had no reference scale, this frightening fact had not yet been discovered.
