Logan Vance smiled faintly and asked May Morgan, "Who says that just because soone is abroad, they must learn foreign things? I’m only stationed overseas for business reasons, but I haven’t completely abandoned Chinese traditions."

Upon hearing Logan’s words, May Morgan grew a bit curious about the man in front of her. She couldn’t help but sit up and ask, "Will you go back in the future?"

"Are you trying to find out my future plans? To see if I’ll hand over the Vance Clan to Vincent?" Logan seed to see through May’s thoughts and asked deliberately as he stared at her face.

May Morgan smiled awkwardly and said nothing more. Logan felt that his question might have been awkward, so he quickly changed the subject, "I know the lead artist from the original team of this ani. If you’re interested, I can get you a set of their signed rchandise so other day."

"Sure, sure." May had been a fan of this ani since it was serialized in a magazine, chasing it from the start. Now that the ani was out, she followed it every day. Although ani rchandise isn’t particularly rare, rchandise signed by the lead artist is of significantly greater value.

But just as May nodded, she suddenly gave Logan a wary look and said, "Forget it; my husband will get it for ."

Seeing her so cautious around him, Logan couldn’t help but sigh, "We could actually be friends. Why do we have to be enemies?"

May glared at him, her eyes shifting, and she replied bluntly, "Yeah, if you can give my husband’s company back, maybe we could coexist peacefully."

Logan knew that she was guarded against him like a hedgehog with its quills raised, completely untouchable. He could only smile wryly and avoid continuing the topic.

Just then, a servant brought over the coffee they ordered. Logan glanced at the coffee in front of him and suddenly asked, "Did mine have sugar and milk added?"

The servant paused, looking at Logan with so surprise, "Second Young Master, don’t you usually drink your coffee black?"

Logan looked aningfully at May across from him and said, "When in Ro, do as the Romans do. Since May likes coffee with sugar and milk, I’ll accommodate her."

Helplessly, the servant had to take his coffee back to the kitchen. Just as the servant was about to place May’s coffee in front of her, Logan reached out and took it.

"Let ."

He earnestly placed the coffee in front of May himself, "The unpleasantness between us is all due to misunderstandings between and Vincent, but I hope you understand that I’m actually a kind person."

May glanced at him lightly, smiled noncommittally, and took the coffee from his hand, sipping it gently, "Thank you."

Seeing her indifferent attitude toward him, Logan turned and sat back down on the sofa. At this mont, the servant brought Logan’s coffee over. He took a glance but didn’t drink it. Instead, he deliberately asked May, "I’m going to your husband’s study to get sothing. Don’t you need to keep an eye on ?"

May thought for a mont and then stood up, following him to Vincent’s study on the second floor.

During this ti, May didn’t say a word to him, maintaining a cold expression throughout.

It wasn’t out of rudeness; there was simply nothing worth discussing with him. After all, he and Vincent were on opposing sides; coupled with him siding with Arthur Vance, it was impossible for the two of them to beco friends.

Logan casually rummaged through Vincent’s desk and quickly found the docunt he was looking for. May saw that he took the docunt without rummaging through Vincent’s things and said nothing more, turning away to follow him out.

"Aren’t you going to invite for lunch at your ho?"

Originally, she thought this guy would leave on his own after grabbing the docunt, but upon reaching the living room, he seed in no hurry to leave. He directly sat back on the sofa and brazenly asked May.

May’s expression darkened, and she deliberately taunted him, "My husband isn’t here. If I invite you to lunch, people might gossip."

Logan laughed wryly and retorted, "You can’t go out; who would gossip about you?"

May blushed and said defiantly, "Who says I can’t go out? I’m just laid-back and lazy. Besides, your grandfather is always thinking about . What if he catches if I go out?"

Upon ntioning Arthur Vance, Logan felt a bit embarrassed and apologized to May on behalf of his grandfather, "My grandfather did go overboard with you, but he was just eager to save soone. He didn’t an anything else."

Hearing him speak so lightly, May’s face instantly darkened, and she unfriendly snapped at him, "Arthur Vance wants to save your father, so of course, you would defend him. What do you an by ’just eager to save soone, no other intentions’? His son’s life is important, but is my life not? Is my grandmother’s life not?"

At the ntion of her grandmother, May’s eyes reddened involuntarily. However, in front of an outsider, she wouldn’t cry. Crying was a sign of weakness, and she would never show her vulnerable side to others.

"I’ve heard a bit about your grandmother’s situation, and I’m very sorry. But I think you’re speaking extrely. My grandfather isn’t the person you imagine him to be. He does things sowhat overbearing, but he’s not to the extent of disregarding human life. I think you might..."

Before Logan could finish speaking, May suddenly pulled a cold face, grabbed his arm, and dragged him toward the door, pushing him out.

"There’s no point in saying more; please leave. I don’t want to hear you talk."

What kind of person is this? It’s not your grandmother who died, not you being forcibly tied to the operating table and made to get pregnant. Yet, you talk about understanding your grandfather. What do you understand? If you had seen your grandfather attempting to bind for artificial insemination for his selfish desires, you wouldn’t be speaking like this.

Logan was pushed to the door by May but was still sowhat reluctant to say to her, "I don’t an anything else. I just want to tell you that perhaps this matter isn’t as simple as you think."

May was not interested in listening to his nonsense, directly pushing him out the door and closing the villa door with a bang.

"Of course, it’s not that simple. Let tell you, whoever killed my grandmother will not die a good death. You’d better pass this on to your seemingly kind yet secretly monstrous grandfather. Tell him that my grandmother’s revenge will never rest!"

Through the door, May couldn’t help but shout at Logan outside.

The more she thought about it, the angrier she beca, the more wronged she felt. Her grandmother had been dead for so many days, yet she could only hide in the villa, like a wastepile, under others’ control, unable to do anything.

If this continued, even the sole piece of evidence would likely be erased by Arthur Vance.
