"You don’t recognize anymore, do you?" May Morgan looked unwillingly at Mason Morgan’s vacant eyes, then asked him.

Mason Morgan glanced at her but said nothing. May, unwilling to give up, quickly picked up the photo album in her hand and flipped through it page by page for him to see, whispering: "Look at these; they’re all our family’s old photos. There’s my mom, my grandma, and this family portrait. Look here, you’re in it too."

When May flipped to the family portrait, she simply took the photo out of the album and held it right under Mason’s eyes to show him.

"Look, back then, you hadn’t run away from ho yet, you hadn’t betrayed my mom, and hadn’t married that woman lody White. We were all so happy together, weren’t we? Have you forgotten all that?"

Mason lowered his head to stare at the photo in May’s hand, deep in thought, and seeing him like this, May suddenly let out a sarcastic laugh: "Mason Morgan, you say I’m not your daughter, fine, if you say so, I have nothing to argue, anyway, in your eyes, I’ve always been dispensable. But look at you now, what have you beco? Did your good daughter or good wife co to see you even once? If it weren’t for my husband finding you a doctor, a caregiver, making you comfortable, what would you have beco?"

May wasn’t trying to show off in front of Mason, she just felt it was undeserved for him. Back then, to absolve lanie, he didn’t care about his own mother’s fate. Now, as he needed care, lody probably finds him too filthy to be around.

It’s unclear whether May’s words or the photo itself triggered sothing, but suddenly Mason reached out with a trembling hand and took the photo from May, examining it with great seriousness.

Vincent Vance, seeing Mason actually respond, was also a bit excited and quickly moved closer to Mason and May.

Mason held onto that photo for quite so ti, before muttering a na: "Chloe..."

Chloe was Chloe Young, May’s mother, a na Mason hadn’t uttered in a very long ti.

For so reason, hearing her father call her mother’s na made May’s nose tingle and her eyes well up with tears.

"Mason Morgan, it’s rare for you to still rember my mother’s na, it’s rare you haven’t completely forgotten her..."

May suddenly choked up, wiping her tears as she spoke to Mason again: "My mom waited for you to co back and never remarried. My grandma advised her to remarry while she was still young, but she refused, saying you had just lost your way and would eventually return to us. But my mom died waiting for you, all these years, you’ve lived lovingly with lody, yet never once visited my mom’s grave. Do you feel you owe her?"

May’s complaints did not bring about more remorse from Mason. He just held onto that photo, silently watching, while constantly murmuring the na "Chloe."

May, seeing him unresponsive, beca slightly angry and grabbed Mason’s hand, trying to snatch the photo back.

"You’re not worthy of calling my mom’s na. She gave her all to a dog. How do you still have the face to call her na? Do you deserve it?"

May attempted to take back the photo from Mason, but he held onto it tightly, refusing to let go, and soon the photo was torn in two, perfectly separating Mason from Chloe Young.

"Chloe, give it back to , give it back!" Mason, seeing only his half of the photo remaining, suddenly beca agitated, and quickly tried to stand to snatch the photo from May. He was, however, forcibly restrained by a nearby bodyguard.

Despite being forcibly held down, Mason continued to struggle and scream like a madman: "Give it back to , give Chloe back to !"

Vincent, seeing this, quickly pulled May into his embrace to protect her: "Your father becos this mad when he’s triggered; let’s leave before he hurts you!"

May looked at the half-photo in her hand, and then at Mason, her heart softened, and she suddenly put the photo into Vincent’s hand.

"Give the photo back to him, please? Stop letting him rampage like this; it annoys ." Though her tone was harsh, her intentions were kind.

Vincent gave a faint smile, reached for her half of the photo, and turned to hand it back to Mason.

Seeing the photo returned, Mason let out a foolish smile. He affectionately placed the two halves together, gazing at them while muttering, "Chloe, Chloe, I failed you."

"Now you know to say sorry to my mom? Where were you when it mattered? If you had turned back to see her once, she wouldn’t have died in grief." May bit her lip, angrily chiding Mason.

Mason suddenly looked up at May with an intense gaze and suddenly went mad again, trying to get up from the bed to rush at May. The four bodyguards nearby quickly pinned him to the bed, barely managing to hold him down.

"It’s you, you’re the nesis, you’re the one who killed them, it’s all you, you’re the sinner!"

Mason shouted at May in fury, his eyes filled with greater malice than when he was sober.

Vincent frowned, displeased, and admonished Mason: "The coldness that killed your wife was yours, the heartlessness that killed your mother was lanie’s, and May has nothing to do with it, Mason. You really are senile."

"Hahaha... Everyone close to her will die, everyone will die! She’s a cursed woman, everyone, everyone will die, including you, including you!"

As if reciting so malicious curse, Mason laughed sinisterly, pointing at Vincent’s face and threatening loudly.

Vincent’s face fell as he decisively pulled May out of the room. He walked quickly, Mason’s screams fading from their ears.

Outside the sanatorium, May cautiously looked up at Vincent’s expression and, seeing him still serious, hesitantly said: "Are you afraid of ? If you are, then we..."

"Don’t overthink it; I just can’t stand fathers cursing their daughters like that!" Before May could finish her sentence, Vincent explained without hesitation.
