Just a few steps forward, he heard Butler Lawson suddenly speak behind him: "Master Adam, you ca as well?"

Upon hearing that Adam had also arrived, Vincent glanced back and just saw Adam parking his car in the garage.

Adam’s leg had fully recovered, so he drove himself over. Maxwell was sitting in the passenger seat, and seeing him about to get out, she quickly opened the door and jogged to Adam’s car door, intending to help him out.

"Adam, be careful. The doctor said no strenuous activity for you."

Maxwell, like a dutiful servant, carefully reached out to support Adam’s arm, continually murmuring: "Really, couldn’t you just let the family driver bring you here? Your leg has just healed, why push yourself? Do you know, my heart was in my throat the whole way here."

Tired of her incessant chatter, Adam impatiently shook off her hand with a flick: "You’re so annoying. I’m fine, aren’t I?"

After Adam shook off her arm, Maxwell didn’t get particularly angry. Instead, she unhappily muttered under her breath: "Why do you always talk to like that? I’m just worried about you. I’ve never served anyone, and here you go, showing no gratitude and even despising ?"

Adam didn’t bother to say much to Maxwell, turned away from her, and walked towards the villa. After just a few steps, he suddenly saw Vincent standing at the villa’s entrance, looking at him coldly.

Regarding Vincent’s forced marriage to May, Adam still harbored resentnt and looked at Vincent not far away, his fingers suddenly clenched tightly, almost wishing to punch him in the face.

Jacob saw sothing was wrong and quickly positioned himself in front of Vincent, calling out loudly to Adam: "Master Adam, this is Vance Residence. If you want to use force, I’m afraid the old man won’t agree."

Maxwell saw Adam glaring at her brother and quickly took hold of Adam’s arm, dragging him towards the villa.

"Adam, the family banquet is about to start. Hurry up and take inside. Aunt Audrey and Uncle are already here, and they’re waiting for you."

Maxwell quietly urged Adam while pulling him into Vance Residence.

Vincent glanced at Adam’s back and scoffed coldly: "A cowardly man!"

Jacob sighed helplessly, quickly went to Vincent’s side, and whispered to him: "Young master, don’t forget our task today. Don’t cause trouble."

Vincent restrained his anger, turned to look at Jacob and said: "I know. Once I’m inside, take the opportunity to look around. lanie, that woman is an outsider, and the old man won’t allow her to appear at the banquet."

"I understand!"

The two spoke quietly while stepping into the villa. The old man was sitting on the couch in the living room, smiling as Adam and Maxwell offered their birthday wishes. Before Vincent entered, he deliberately looked at the old man’s complexion, seeing nothing amiss.

Looking at Arthur Vance, seemingly rosy-faced, Vincent couldn’t help but feel a complex emotion flicker in his eyes.

After chatting with Adam, Arthur Vance turned around and saw Vincent entering, causing his previously joyful face to imdiately fall.

Vincent was raised by Arthur Vance, giving him high expectations. Before May’s appearance, this grandson was the most promising and obedient in his eyes. But once that woman appeared, everything changed.

Arthur Vance hated May deeply and was even more anguished by Vincent’s stubbornness. Though Vincent had co to wish him well, Arthur couldn’t truly be happy.

Seeing his grandfather looking at him with indifference, Vincent approached him with a smile that didn’t reach his eyes, offering a polite complint.

"Grandfather, wishing you boundless longevity and happiness as vast as the Eastern Sea."

Arthur Vance snorted coldly, unceremoniously berating him: "With you causing daily grievances, how would my happiness be as vast as the Eastern Sea, my longevity as enduring as the Southern Mountain?"

Vincent, upon hearing this, smirked coldly and replied, "If your heart were broader, taking things lightly, longevity would naturally co."

"You!" Vincent’s words made Arthur’s face change drastically, and he raised the teacup in front of him, intending to throw it at his unfilial grandson Vincent.

Audrey, seeing this, quickly stood up to grab the teacup from her father’s hand, soothing him: "Dad, don’t be angry. You know Vincent’s bad temper."

Maxwell, also feeling sorry for her brother, quickly joined her aunt in comforting her grandfather: "Yes, Grandpa. Today’s your big birthday; you shouldn’t get angry. Although my brother’s words weren’t pleasant, he still ca to wish you well, didn’t he? For the sake of my deceased parents, please don’t hold it against him."

Arthur Vance, still enraged, pointed at Vincent’s face and scolded loudly: "Were it not for your parents dying young, why would I have invested so much effort in you? You ungrateful thing."

Upon hearing this, Vincent couldn’t help but laugh coldly: "Grandfather blas for being ungrateful? Yet I truly can’t recall any act, besides increasingly strict punishnts, worth my gratitude over the years."

Arthur Vance, flustered by Vincent’s questions, couldn’t help but argue, "Wasn’t it all to make you successful?"

"To make successful, you applied an iron fist policy to a ten-year-old child? Grandfather, thank you for depriving of my childhood, for giving a premature taste of worldly hardships. But locking in a dark room for two days and nights without water, I really couldn’t feel your benevolence."

"Alright, alright, Vincent, co on, it’s been so many years. Why bring that stuff up again?" Audrey looked at Vincent helplessly, worried her father would be angered again, and quickly stopped him.

Vincent hadn’t co to confront Arthur Vance, so he backed down after saying a few words: "No matter what, those are bygones. I won’t keep them close to heart. If I did, I wouldn’t have co to wish Grandfather well today, would I?"

Audrey saw Vincent looking for a way to exit the conversation and quickly said: "Yes, yes, that’s Grandpa’s good grandson. Maxwell, take your brother for a walk outside. Co back when the family banquet starts."

Hearing this, Maxwell quickly let go of Adam’s hand, ca over, and pulled Vincent outside: "Brother, let’s go. I want to go to the back garden."

Vincent nodded slightly to Arthur Vance, then went out with Maxwell. Jacob followed behind Vincent, and once the three were out of the villa, he quietly turned elsewhere.
