Others present in the living room smiled to see how Xiao Min never dared to cross his boss. Xiao Min followed Lu Qiang towards the dining room, but Lu Qiang suddenly halted in his tracks and looked at Xiao Min, shifting his sight towards the bag in his hands.
"In the Lu Mansion, we don’t carry work-related things at the dining room." Lu Qiang comnted.
Xiao Min understood the aning and went back to the sofa where he kept the bag and went to the dining room.
Finishing breakfast both left for work once Jiang Yuyan wished Lu Qiang good luck. Like always, all the businessn in the city gathered with the proposals to get the project as it was the most important one that everyone wanted to have.
When the proposals were being submitted and everyone was waiting for the result while sitting in the huge corporate conference hall, the widescreen in front lit up. As the project was a huge one and everyone was being competitive to get it so to make it fair, the committee displayed everyone’s proposal on the screen so that they can see clearly who and how the one won.
One by one, all the proposals flashed on the screen with a list of price quotes offered by the particular company. The proposals made by Ming Industries and Lu Corporations were not yet there, as the winner’s proposal would display in the end. It made others curious that who among them would win.
The Ming Industries proposal flashed on the screen and that made Xiao Ming’s eyes wide open, but Lu Qiang was sitting calmly.
"Boss this is lower than what we offered. See the quotes. They are less than ours by just half to one point. How can this be possible? Not a single quote is higher than us."
Lu Qiang said nothing and continued looking at the screen while Xiao Min gave up all his hopes to win the project as the result was clear in front of him. So many things ca into his mind in those few passing seconds. ’My boss worked so hard every ti but how co this Ming industries always get the project and with the proposal similar to us. It can’t be just a coincidence. There is a mole. I am sure there is one and we need to catch him.’
He then looked at his boss and he was about to say sothing, but Lu Qiang spoke. "Ti to celebrate, Xiao Min. Tell what would you like to have?"
It surprised Xiao Min, who forgot to look at that huge screen when he was busy with his detective-like thought process. He followed Lu Qiang’s sight, which was fixed on the screen and what he saw on the screen surprised him to his bone.
Xiao Min exclaid. "How can this be? This is not our proposal."
The host announced the result and the winner and called Lu Qiang to be on the stage.
Not saying anything, Lu Qiang finally looked at Xiao to give him a smile and went to the stage.
Xiao Min got it and didn’t speak a single word, thinking he will talk about it once he is alone with his boss.
Ming Rusheng, who was sitting calmly thinking he will win the project, had shocking expressions on his face. He looked at Lu Qiang, who was calm even after he was the one to win.
Lu Qiang finished his small speech and went back to his seat where everyone congratulated him. Lu Qiang left the place, not wasting his ti there.
When Ming Rusheng sat in his car, he was in a bad mood. He instructed his father’s assistant, who was accompanying him this ti too, to get the other car and left the place by driving himself.
He stopped at one place along the road and made a call. "What kind of ga are you trying to pull, huh?"
"There is no such thing. Even, I am surprised by the result today. It shocked as much as it shocked you." The man on the other side of the line spoke.
"Are you sure, we can trust him?" Ming Rusheng asked."
"Of course, we can as he wants what we want. Also, we know his weakness so for the sake of that weakness, he won’t do this with us."
"Then how co things turned out like this, Xi Cheng?" Ming Rusheng asked.
"I will look into it. I think Lu Qiang was ready for this and he let his guards down intentionally." Xi Cheng concluded.
"I think we underestimated him."
"He is not the top businessman for nothing and don’t forget he is the son of cunning Lu Jinhai whom everyone used to be scared of because of his sharp brain."
"Hmm! Need to get rid of this one more sharp brain soon."
Saying, Ming Rusheng cut the call and on the other side of the line Xi Cheng who was sitting in his car felt happy to hear it. Once Xi Cheng cut the call, he mumbled with the evil smile on his lips. "I too think we need to get rid of him soon."
In Lu Qiang’s car...
"Boss, it was not the quotes what were in our file. How did it change?" Xiao Min asked.
"Are you sure, you submitted the sa file that you had before?" Lu Qiang asked.
Xiao Min thought about it but rembered it was the sa file and his boss handed it over to him, he didn’t bother to check the content inside. It clicked to him that his boss changed it and asked, "Boss, were you aware about the mole inside?"
"Hmm!" Lu Qiang nodded.
"Who is it?"
