Everyone left, and Jiang Yuyan looked at him. "Not here."
Saying she stepped to go upstairs and Lu Lijun followed her to the second floor.
Stopping in the corridor, in front of their room’s door, she turned to look at him. "Say what you want to say to ."
"Whatever I say, it can’t affect almighty President Lu," Lu Lijun comnted, staring at her.
Ignoring what he said, Jiang Yuyan asked, "Do you know the aning of agreeing to et Mr. Wen’s daughter?"
"I know."
"Don’t do it just for the sake to go against ."
He chuckled, "Now you want to control my private life too?"
"Do it only if you are ready to get engaged with her. Mr. Wen and his family are not soone who you can take lightly," she warned.
"Why do you think I won’t want to be engaged with her? Don’t act as you know well," he said coldly, staring into her eyes.
Jiang Yuyan sighed, "Don’t use other ans to trouble , which will end up hurting you. You can take your anger out on directly. Say what you want that you wished for all these years.
"Even if I say, will you care about it?" he asked.
Jiang Yuyan knew he was hurt, and it was the ti she should take her step back.
"I know you are hurt, and I apologize for it," she said.
"Isn’t it too late for it? All those years, where were you when I...? he stopped and inhaled deeply to calm himself. "Will the apology make up for what I have gone through?
"It won’t, but there is nothing more I can do," she replied.
She looked cold as usual as if nothing concerned her even if the person in front of her beg for her attention.
"Do I even an anything to you? I’m just nobody that you threw away when you want and accepted when you feel the need."
"I won’t explain why I had to send you away, but it was needed at that ti. It was for your own good."
The painful smile painted on his lips, "For my own good, huh? Have you realized what good it has done to ? I feel nothing but anger and frustration. I can’t feel anything else. I’m a ss, but you say it’s for my own good? My life is a ss."
"You can get angry with , scold , whatever you want," she didn’t look affected by the pain he felt, and it only added to his anger.
The hurt emotions in his eyes accompanied with the anger he felt, "Do I have any right over you to show my anger? Who are you to ?"
Jiang Yuyan stayed silent to let him out.
"Who asked you to take my responsibility? Why did you have to do it with ? Why did you...." he felt choked in the throat as sudden emotions rushed into his heart. His eyes turned fiery that showed how hurt he was.
He turned around and exhaled out to relax and stop those emotions surging out at once and spoke.
"You don’t have any right over to make decisions for my life. Only my elder brother was the one. Don’t try to take his place in my life. You are nobody to ."
"That I can’t promise until you take your brother’s place. Once you are there, I won’t interfere."
Lu Lijun chuckled, "I forgot, I’m your goddamn responsibility that you want to pull out successfully by all ans. It doesn’t matter to you if I want it or not."
"Since the start, you know you ant for it," she said.
Keeping his emotions aside, he turned to look at her and stared into her eyes, "And who decided it? It’s you."
"Your brother wanted it too," she countered.
"He wouldn’t have forced against my will, but what are you doing? Stop putting my brother’s na to everything when it’s you who want it, and then be free from everything."
She just stared at him calmly as he looked angry.
"President Lu, as I warned you before, just wait for to trouble you more." He pointed towards himself, "And, forget about your dream to get free from this responsibility. I’ll never let you go away. You have to be here with forever, bearing with all the troubles I’ll create for you."
He looked cold, and his eyes had threatening darkness which warned her to be careful of him.
She continued staring at him while Lu Lijun spoke again, "Don’t even try to run away from this responsibility. Even if you do, I’ll get you back here by all ans possible. You have to pay for what you have done with . Got it, President Lu?"
"Anything else?" she asked.
"Soon, there will be a lot. Brace yourself," he said and turned to leave to his room.
Jiang Yuyan stood unaffected as she looked at his retreating back. Just after a few steps, Lu Lijun stopped again.
"President Lu."
Jiang Yuyan waited for him to talk.
"I know president Lu is keeping busy, so I won’t look into my brother’s accident case. But let tell you, nothing can stop ."
The cold woman who was not affected by any of his words, suddenly her eyes showed anxiousness hearing what Lu Lijun said.
"There is nothing to look into. It’s over, and everyone is at peace. Don’t try to disturb it. You are free to do what you want to do to trouble ."
Lu Lijun turned to look at her, "Isn’t it the best way to trouble you?"
"It’s not because it will just hurt our family..."
"Or, are you trying to hide sothing from everyone?" Lu Lijun asked, interrupting her.
"The case is closed, and there is nothing to hide," she added.
"Case? That file doesn’t even show what exactly happened and who the culprits were. My elder brother lost his life, and that case was just closed unsolved with no enough proof."
Jiang Yuyan sighed, "Just stop it. It took years to get everything and everyone back to normal. Don’t do anything to destroy it."
"I just want the entire world to know those culprits, and I can’t let that file be a piece of trash which has no value. I would enter every responsible person’s na in that file, and only then can it be closed."
"Lu Lijun...."
"Don’t try to stop ," he warned; his eyes looked even furious.
"I told you, you can do whatever you want to trouble as I’m the one to cause you pain. Just stop what you are....."
Lu Lijun stepped towards her, which puzzled and interrupted her.
Instinctively, Jiang Yuyan took a step back, and there was a wall behind her. He stepped towards her and stood closer as his eyes never left the sight of her puzzled eyes.
"Whatever I want, huh?" he spoke.
Jiang Yuyan continued staring into his eyes. The woman, who was always stable like a rock, felt intimidated by the way he looked at her and how close he was to her. She never saw him or never expected him to act like this.
"Don’t say whatever I want, or you might regret it one day," he warned.
Jiang Yuyan didn’t know how to react to it and stood frozen, and Lu Lijun stepped back.
"Good night, President Lu." Saying, Lu Lijun entered his room.
SLAM!!
There was a loud noise of door closing that pulled Jiang Yuyan out from a daze. She was still puzzled to see him like that and went to her room, giving out a sigh of relief.
