"Be a President and learn to handle everything properly, then you are free to do what you want," Jiang Yuyan added, not minding how Lu Lijun looked at her as if he intentionally wanted to piss her off.
"I will, but it’s not like I can’t make new friends or date anyone," he countered.
No one knew what to talk between the two as the sudden silence surrounded the place. One was calm but cold, while the other one looked ready to rebel.
Not waiting for Jiang Yuyan to talk, who already looked unwilling to say a word in front of the guests, Lu Lijun looked at Mr. Wen.
"I would like to et Liwei. I’ll co to pick her up tomorrow noon."
No one expected Lu Lijun to be so straightforward. He didn’t ask for permission but directly declared his will to Mr. Wen, and once again, there was a silence.
Lu Jinhai smiled awkwardly, "Kids these days are open about their thoughts."
Mr. and Mrs. Wen, who looked puzzled, smiled awkwardly too and agreed to what Lu Jinhai said.
"Don’t bla these days’, kids. We all were the sa," Elder Lu comnted.
"Let them et. It’s good to know each other first," Mr. Wen eased the situation.
Others agreed while Jiang Yuyan did not react to it. Lu Lijun looked at her and could see she disagreed with others which made him determined that what he did was right and he could keep troubling her this way.
"We can also let Lu Lian and my son et so things won’t take ti," said Mr. wen, and he looked at Lu Lian, "We would like you to have you in our family. My son would be fortunate."
Lu Lian just smiled lightly, not knowing what to say about it.
"Don’t say it like that. Wen Zac is a nice man. I’m sure she would be happy with him," said Lu Jinhai.
All the family mbers were happy with Lu Lian and Wen Zac’s talk, and they thought soon they would have a wedding ceremony in the family.
"Let elder sister first know him," Lu Lijun said, interrupting the happy thoughts going in everyone’s mind.
Lu Jinhai looked at his son, "Of course, it’s not like we are forcing her. In the end, the decision is in their hands."
"I’m sorry my son couldn’t co. He had important things to attend," Mr. Wen replied.
Mr. Wen didn’t tell his son about Lu Lian as his son promised to et any girl he would ask to. Mr. Wen was sure his son would like Lu Lian, and there was no reason for him to say no to this arrangent.
"It’s fine. It’s not like we don’t know him," Lu Jinhai added.
Talking for a while, they had dinner discussing so many things. Mr. and Mrs. Wen left after the entire family bid them farewell.
Just as they returned inside the ho, Lu Jinhua talked to Lu Lijun. "Are you sure about what you said?"
"Didn’t father want the sa? I’m sure father and Mr. Wen are happy that I agreed to it," said Lu Lijun. he sounded sarcastic.
"It was just a talk, but no one thought things would move so quickly. You are still...."
"I know I’m young, but it’s not like n of my age never et a girl," Lu Lijun interrupted his father, not willing to listen to anyone.
"It’s not what I an. You can do what you want, but for now, as Yuyan said, focus on your work," Lu Jinhai insisted.
"Why is it always like what President Lu says is always right? Why do I have to follow what she says? I’m not a kid anymore. I can decide for myself. The one who abandoned has no right to interfere in my life."
Hearing it, everyone felt stunned while Jiang Yuyan kept quiet and excused herself to go upstairs.
"How can you talk like this about her?" Lu Jinhai turned angry.
It didn’t affect Lu Lijun as he stared at Jiang Yuyan, who passed by him, "I just want her not to mind my business."
"Mind your words Lu Lijun," Ning Jiahui warned him. "You should bla your father and for everything and not her."
"You all love to defend her. Well, it’s nothing new," he said coldly.
To date, Lu Lijun was silent, but this sudden change in him worried others. Knowing his anger since he was a kid, they couldn’t imagine what kind of trouble his suppressed anger would bring, especially for Yuyan.
"She did everything for your sake, and it’s wrong for you to talk to her like this," Ning Jiahui said.
"So, I’m wrong?" Lu Lijun concluded and chuckled, "You all just need to take elder brother’s place. Otherwise, there is no use of ."
This was sothing hurting that hurt himself as well as others too.
"It’s not like that, Lu Lijun," said Niag Jiahui, who turned emotional.
Everyone felt bad about how Lu Lijun talked, but he too had reasons to show his anger.
Jiang Yuyan heard it, who just reached the staircase. Sensing the things getting heated up, she stopped and turned to get back to Lu Lijun.
She stood in front of him, and he stared back at her, waiting for her to talk.
"You have the right to be angry with , but don’t act like this with others. I was the one to abandon you but not others. You were the one who chose not to talk with them. When they respect your wish, you don’t have the right to bla them for anything."
Lu Lijun smirked, "At least you know what you have done wrong."
Lu Jinhai went to Lu Lijun as anger took over him, but Jiang Yuyan stopped him.
"Father, it’s between him and ," she said calmly while staring into Lu Lijun’s eyes.
"But, Yuyan, how can he....."
She looked at her father-in-law, "Trust , father."
Lu Jinhai stopped, and Jiang Yuyan looked at the elders who didn’t know how to stop all this.
"Grandpa-grandma, it’s late. Grandma needs to sleep," Jiang Yuyans said calmly.
Elder Lu took his wife inside while Jiang Yuyan looked at others, "It’s late. Everyone should go to sleep."
It was her way to say that she needed to talk to Lu Lijun alone, and others don’t have to interfere with it.
