Initially, Song Xing Xing did not intend to tell Huo Yun Chen news about Xia Yu. However, after that man had persisted wanting to thank Xia Yu for her help the other day, Song Xing Xing decided to tell him her address.
As she recalled Xia Yu's strange reaction whenever Huo Yun Chen was ntioned, Song Xing Xing thought that perhaps, telling him would be a good move.
Once Huo Yun Chen got Xia Yu's address, he took a few days of break and headed to A City. This ti, he drove his car alone and did not ntion to his assistant or manager where he was going. He only ntioned that he wanted to take a few days off.
As his manager was aware that there were so tis when Huo Yun Chen would take a few days off to find inspiration, naturally, he did not suspect anything.
Huo Yun Chen wore a different style than he usually would. He wore wide fra glasses and put on a mask on his face. After checking his reflection a few tis in the mirror, he finally head out and went to look for Nurse Xia Yu's apartnt.
The address that Little Star had given him was Xia Yu's parents' house. It was a four-story small apartnt in an old area. The paint was old and it doesn't seem as if the building was taken care of.
Huo Yun Chen looked at his surroundings and coughed lightly whenever he ran into a few suspicious neighbors.
After climbing to the third floor, he finally found the house he was looking for.
He raised his hand, wanting to knock on the door when he heard so shouting voices in the house.
"Give the money! You wretched girl, since you have money, why are you unwilling to help the family?" A woman shouted.
Huo Yun Chen retracted his hand and wonder if he had got to the wrong place. The door was closed but the shouting was so loud that he could probably hear it from downstairs.
"If he wanted to get married and buy a house then he should have work for it himself." Another voice spoke.
His expression froze. Although he had only t the nurse a few tis, Huo Yun Chen was very sure that the voice belonged to Nurse Xia Yu.
Huo Yun Chen touched the tip of his nose.
It seed that he had overheard sothing that he should not have. However, instead of leaving, Huo Yun Chen continued to stay there. His feet were refusing to move.
"Sister, I'm your brother. Why are you refusing to help ?" This ti, it was a man's voice. "Don't you want to see happy?"
"That's right. He's your brother. The two of you are blood-related. How can you be so cold and refused to help him? You have a lot of money on you, anyway." The woman spoke again. "Xia Yu, just tell mom where did you hide your card."
"No."
There was the sound of a loud thud and sothing breaking inside the house.
"Are you giving it or not?" the woman shouted again.
"No!"
"You wretched girl, isn't it because of you that your father had died? If only you gave us the money, he would not have died!"
"I already gave him the money!" Xia Yu shouted. "It was you who take them away and let your son spend them on that stupid investnt."
"Mom..." the man spoke. "I thought that this investnt would make us a lot of money. How would I know that my friend would scam ? I only wanted you and dad to have a comfortable life. I did not expect..."
"Don't go and bla your brother. At least he's filial."
Huo Yun Chen who was still standing in front of the door thought that he had heard too much. He took a deep breath to calm down and finally turned around and headed downstairs.
It seed that he shouldn't co over to find Nurse Xia Yu on this day.
The nurse always had a cool expression on her face when he saw her. Huo Yun Chen had not thought that Xia Yu would have problems like this in her family.
He tilted his head and looked at the house where Xia Yu live. A second later, there were the sounds of footsteps from the staircase. Before he could react, he saw soone run down the stairs and bumped into him.
"Sorry. I'm so sorry." Xia Yu lifted her head at this ti. "I didn't an to..." The words she wanted to say were unfinished. Her expression froze when she t the man's gaze. "You.." Xia Yu looked around her surroundings. "Why are you here?"
A light flickered in his eyes. He pushed up the fake glasses on his face and asked, "You recognized ?"
Xia Yu stood still.
She has been this man's fan for years. She had looked at a lot of his pictures and watched hours of his concerts online. How could she not recognize him?
No matter if he dressed up differently, she would always recognize his eyes.
However, this was not sothing that she could say out loud, right?
Thinking of how ssy she looked at this ti, Xia Yu suddenly beca timid.
"I'm sorry. I recognized the wrong person," Xia Yu said. She stepped aside, wanting to leave.
But how could Huo Yun Chen believe her words? From the way she looked at him, Huo Yun Chen was confident that she knew who he was.
He turned around, wanting to grab her hand to stop her. Just then, his gaze fell on a spot on her shoulder. There was a large spot of blood on her t-shirt.
Huo Yun Chen was stunned for a few seconds. His gaze moved up to her head and realized that she was injured.
What happened to her?
He took a few big steps and caught her wrist.
"What are you doing?" Xia Yu looked at him with her eyes wide. "If you don't let go, I will scream and tell everyone that you are a pervert."
Huo Yun Chen touched the spot at the back of her head and heard her hissed in pain. His eyes grew darker as he looked at the red stain on his fingers. "You're injured."
Xia Yu followed his gaze and saw the bloodstain. She began to panic and tried to struggle away from him. However, the man only held her wrist tighter.
"Co with .." Huo Yun Chen spoke before he pulled her away.
