*******
It felt humiliating. He would do as he pleased before, saying apologies every single ti and lowering his head ashad after stealing my lips only to do it again... yet now... when we supposedly do not need to force it, when it wouldn’t be taken as stolen, when I can let him do so without worrying about disrespecting my wishes for it is my wish to receive his caresses... he has decided to push away so coldly, so dry and distant that my heart stooped to my stomach from regret.
Sadly, now that I think about it, I may have been ignoring it only not to feel as hurt... yet this is not the first ti I feel pushed aside... for he has been continuously avoiding any of my caresses and attempts when even our chaperons’ sight wouldn’t be able to whiteness it.
’This is so aggravating... is it truly that he want us to respect these traditions he ntioned or is it in truth that he does not feel any attraction for anymore?’— Stressed at the thought, I entered my chambers, ignoring the knights at my door that greeted nicely.
*Clank! Thud...*
"!? S-Sister? Oh, uhm, y-you said not to call you that, I apologise... er... L-lady Pristina? You ca back on your own? Haha..."
"?" — ’What’s wrong with her?’
"Ninth! The girl is unwell! She was about to harm herself again!"
"Yes! Estelle and I, we cannot make her listen our sound! Blessing it is for you have co back, Ninth!!" — Terrified, the two fairies that were pulling on Theressa’s strands flew over to my side. Quickly spilling what I needed to hear to know how to proceed. — "The tears she has wiped, you may still see then in her red eyes, Ninth! A blade she dropped just now! Her hand she wanted to cut so the red in her would leave as well as her life, Ninth!!"
"... what happened? Were you crying?" — I asked Theressa, even though the fairies had told already. Staring at the knife they had pointed.
"!? N-no, I fell asleep therefore I have a swollen expression. My... this is shaful, haha."
"Lies, Ninth!"
"Yes! Lies she tells again, Ninth!"
"The girl cried for the ninth restricted a sister’s addressing! In pain she sobbed... ’an order she follows from the divine, she does not welco my presence nor my existence. Sister Marianne must suffer having myself who hurt her around every day... why would Izeneya burden her like that’, she cried and cried..."
"Self harm was then conceived Ninth!"
"She conceived ’if I die I won’t burden my sister’ she said!!"
"..."
I watched the scene still skeptical about it. Theressa not being able to see the fairies was a source to trust their words, yet how to be sure when it could be an act? What if Theressa had learned of the fairies and their instructions to watch over her... and was now trying to win my trust by fooling them?
’... I cannot even sigh in comfort for the rejection I endured from who I have in my heart... ease is not for myself to keep...’ — I thought while experiencing a headache. Seeing the blade the fairies ntioned under the centre table with annoyance now... for near it my journal laid... open on the pages that reminded myself the mont I decided to end the pain.
"... You say you fell asleep... indeed, I can imagine how reading my mories must be quite a bore for you. You must question yourself how co the aid you gave back then did not end my life as it should have, huh?"
"?! Ninth! How to tell such an words!?"
"... I... I did not... it is not like sis— like you say..."
"You should have been more thorough. Now I know you have been entertaining yourself with my private handwriting."
"I... no..."
"... did you read the bit when you threw a blade at myself? Saying I should know what to do with it?" — Taking my journal from the table I went through it’s pages, glancing at her who cried frozen in place while I asked all of this out of... pure spite. — "Oh... or perhaps you read what Paul liked to do while torturing at night. He seed to be fond of knives too."
"... n-no..."
"He would not cut since he did not want to ruin my ’perfect skin’ but..."
"I am sorry..."
"He made sure I knew he could easily pierce my any ti he wanted."
"I am sorry. I’m sorry... sob...!"
"I am only telling the truth. So... why can’t you do the sa, Theressa?" — Tired, knowing I was not enjoying bringing any of that up solely to test her performance, I sat down... taking a look at her... actually considering she might not be acting since the tremble and her lost gaze would be difficult to feign... but then again... — ’She was never that good of an actress yet she fooled many, even myself at tis...’
"What were you truly doing? What are you planning?... Why do you keep this act? Is it part of the witch’s sches?"
"... I... I do not know any witches, sis-... lady Pristina..."
"..."
"... I... when taking care of Khibi... I happened to find the journal... I saw, Lady Pristina’s young handwriting and... I shalessly started to read it."
’It indeed... has my younger self handwritings...’
"Out of yearning for the ti you taught myself how to write..." — She now said with a smile. Losing it as she continued to confess what she truly found. — "However as you said... different its contents were..."
"..."
"... I recall loving my sister Marianne... and I recall my deeds while feeling hatred I thought natural... I do not know why, for mother would scold myself for taking your side yet later I would also cause you harm... along with brother... helping him as well..."
"..."
"Your dislike for my presence, for my being... you never wrote anything about it..." — Picking up the journal, she said with a weak sound while I felt uncomfortable the more she decided to share. — "Instead... nh... ’sothing I must have done for my little sister to insult myself like this’... ’I wish Theressa would play with again’... I treated you horribly... and yet you still hoped—"
"I was young and ignorant. I was not able to believe evil could be born from empty souls. But that is the past now."
"... R-right... an empty soul I am, haha... not even my doings could I properly recognise yet you wrote them all down..."
"..."
"I was holding that blade... so my being would not remind you of the pain I caused..."
"... Do you believe I want your death? That it would serve myself a paynt of so kind?"
"..."
"You... You think too highly of yourself, Theressa." — Feeling nothingness overwhelm my senses, I added blankly. Thinking that this much was deserved while conflicted to acknowledge that she had no real good grasp of herself right now. — "These intentions you have to harm yourself, are they a tool to manipulate us like you so liked before?"
"... Sister..."
"I told you... I don’t like you calling that." — Glaring at her, I reminded her tongue. Pained to hear her sound so weak and helpless while saying it... bothered by it, for it was not a simple dislike... but more of a asure so my naive heart would not fall for the sentintal crumbs remaining in its bottom. — "Do not make lose my ti nor temper... I have not talked to you for a motive, yet this is the last ti I give you a chance to answer with honesty... what is it that you are plotting?"
"... I am not—"
"I’ll tell you beforehand... Leave my sight if you will lie. Have that much respect at the very least."
"... M-Marianne, I truly do not—"
*Knock knock knock!!* — "My lady! We have returned! His Grace has co as well, there are so important news you need to learn!"
Unexpectedly, the rushed knock on my door interrupted what seed a promising response. My answer was not waited by Paige and the others on the other side of the door, and as they entered my chambers, the air shook alarming my senses that reverberated to the growls I could clearly hear from the one beastly divinity I was linked to by a promise.
— Bloodshed is in your paws, child... listen for the chaos will slowly rise. None is senseless... choose carefully and let us laugh as my fangs gnaw at their flesh in the end, grahaha...—
’What?! What does that an??’
"Marianne... has nothing occurred while alone?" — Dad said, coming to my side to check for himself, giving a suspicious glance to Theressa and noticing the blade on the ground. — "... What were you doing while alone?"
"... F-father, I didn’t..." — Theressa answered nervously while I kept quiet. Solely receiving coldness as this news appeared to involve her too.
"Was it you?... Did you help him, Theressa?"
"Huh?... help who, dad?"
"Answer , child. Don’t make force the answers out of you now!"
"!?!? F-father! I do not know what you are talking about!!"
"!? Dad, what’s happening?! Why are you pulling on Theressa?!"
"I swear if you are involved in this, Theressa... if even after your sister gave you so many opportunities to fix your evildoings... Even if I am your father... I will testify against my blood and end myself for the disgrace I raised!!"
"Dad... Theressa has been here with all this ti. I left for a mont but had her being watched. If you do not tell us what is wrong little sense can we make out of your words."
"... Paul is gone."
"... w-..... Gone? How is he ’gone’??"
"... Today, the date of his trial was announced. I summoned Vitor, Theodore and Paige because of this, so I could tell you the news... however, just now, an urgent letter arrived from the warden at the prison... He escaped. There is no trace of him anywhere."
