"My lady does not need my agreent for I intended to do it no matter the circumstances. Besides, I would prefer to avoid making you wait as it is equal to gaining sha... I would even wish to be earlier there and be myself who waits for the lady instead." — With a serious tone, spontaneous as if he did not need any thought, the crown prince said. eting my eyes to also recall the presence of our chaperons as they sat next to acting as though they did not hear any of it, making my tum experience delighted tingles for a mont once he realised how charming he was being in front of them. — "Um... such is my selfish belief. Hence... do not say that, my lady Marianne."
"I appreciate it... wholeheartedly..."
There was this agreed stillness afterwards. One we ca to develop for, when it ca to myself, I had the slight suspicion that were we to exchange more words in this small place, more embarrassing little things would be witnessed from close by our chaperons.
Sohow... I knew it would be better if they were at a certain distance. He would probably also feel more comfortable to say and do other things... yet that was not the case and I believed Kinky had the sa understanding after our eyes t briefly to make a truce with these wishes.
Thus, perhaps because of the light ambience this little conversation allowed, the ti spent in the carriage felt like flying. Making the trip to the tower more bearable than the day before.
Just like yesterday, the warden was there to welco us, and again, Sir Vitor and Theodore were made to wait outside while we entered the tower.
As rough on the sides, the man was dry while guiding us again to Theressa’s cell, not failing to let us know his discontent when following my request as he inford us about it.
"The prisoner did not take her drugs like you ordered. If there is any trouble rember this while handling her." — The man said, giving myself a glance that conveyed he was not willing to compromise further than this while doing his job.
I nodded, aware that it was fair as it had been done while using our status. However, the crown prince was not to agree as easily as I did.
"Are there no guards watching her that we are to handle her ourselves? I suppose the reinforcent of this tower’s security was useless if it is like that."
"... the guards will not lack."
"Then it should be fine. A female prisoner who did not take her dication only for a few hours should not be that much trouble for the jailers. Otherwise, why make the visitors take care of it? Your ideas are interesting."
"... You know the way to her cell. I shall let you do your visit and et you again once you are done." — As if not wanting to continue in our company, the warden said as we arrived at the floor Theressa was on. Being watched by both of us as he went up the stairs on his own... while I noticed Kinky was not only watching him but making a hole in the man’s back with his sharp glare.
’... I can understand... he indeed had an unpleasant tone.’ — I sighed, to then continue our way to the cell. Hearing as we crossed the corridor how a pair of guards that walked the sa path gossiped with each other before respectfully stopping to bow as we walked by.
"... not as loud like the days before, yet hell... what a way to cry."
"She cannot accept her fate, it is only an act to gain rcy."
"What a waste when she’s so... you know. Haha..."
"Right. Seems young as well, must be tight, Heheh."
"Maybe we can get a chance, it’s allowed if hated enough, right?"
"Oh~ that’s right~ she also ssed with the ninth so everyone might get a- !? Sh*t, stay shut. There’s soone coming!"
... It had been enough to make my heart sink in a blink. Having Theressa in jail... not only Theressa, but anyone could face terrible things by whoever could perpetrate them... but hearing it by chance made grow cold in blood and soul... much more after the sight of her from yesterday and the fact that she’s still my little sister...
’... "It’s allowed"... what is allowed?..... what if soone else besides these already had this thought?..... w-what if while d-drugged-’
"Your nas." — Only after taking a step past them, the crown prince said with a coldness that froze myself further in place. — "Don’t just stare at each other and tell your nas."
"Uh... Er, Claude, your highness..."
"L-Lester, your Highness."
"You both do know the truth behind why this jail was reforced in security these days, correct?"
"..... Y-yes-"
"You’ll be the first ones to fulfil such a purpose if you don’t stay awake and keep your mouth closed." — Resuming our pace he told them without even giving them a glance. I did peek at the n we were leaving behind, nonetheless. Seeing how they beca blank like a sheet, as both had lost all colour from their skin once the prince said one last thing. — "I know exactly where to find you. Don’t try escaping the tower."
It was apparent that a terrible thing had been conveyed in so little ti, yet there was no true intention in myself to understand this threat’s depth. For another kind of worry was reining in myself... but before I was to let it control my decisions, I wanted to see for myself what I could not yesterday.
"Sob... Hic..... Hu... sniff... hf... sniff..."
Soft sobs, tired probably, could be heard as we ca closer to her cell. Her neighbouring prisoners grumbled to themselves, wishing for her to stop painted in their distorted expressions and once I ca to stand at the sa place I did yesterday, the guards left at the prince’s order once again. Making it with such motion so the more conscious Theressa could et my gaze instantly.
