351: Chapter 63: A Bit Rushed_1 351: Chapter 63: A Bit Rushed_1 “Boom.” A fireball, one ter in size, with a deep blue outer fla and a golden core, carrying a scorching breath, pulling a short tail fla, spun and flew towards Teresa.

The elental mage’s target selection was wise.

Among all the people present, the professionals with physical professions had higher physical attributes and a dium-scale magic attack might not necessarily kill an opponent directly, so they were not taken into account.

Among the caster professions, priests proficient in the divine healing spell were notoriously difficult to handle.

Even a high-ranking attack often required several instances of magic to kill, so Lina also ruled them out.

The mage Vivian, like himself, was also a mage.

As a fellow mage, he knew that mages were mysterious and unpredictable.

If he directly cast his magic on her, it could be broken by any thod, just like the terrifying vacuum technique that surprised and even terrified him just now.

So on counting down, the best target turned out to be the wind god priestess, who was not a healing priest but a support priest.

It was at this mont that differences in combat experience and proficiency in cooperative combat beca clearly evident.

If it were Vivian or Lina, they wouldn’t even blink, let alone stop what they were doing.

They wouldn’t even need to use their minds to think, their instincts alone could determine whether they needed to dodge based on the situation.

But Teresa couldn’t do that.

She was originally a priest of the Temple Faction, who had few instances of combat experience.

Even when there was combat, she was guarded by an enormous amount of temple guards.

Enemies simply could not attack her directly, and she had never encountered such a dangerous situation where she was the direct target of what was described as a fireball.

Therefore, when she faced the fireball, she was imdiately thrown into disarray and wanted to dodge to the side in a panic.

Fortunately, she was not alone.

Just as she was about to run off in panic, she was suddenly held down by Lina on her shoulder.

In her sense, Lina’s voice remained the sa, but there was so strange, calming magical power in it: “Keep cool, stay still, and continue to capture opportunities for attack.”

Teresa’s collaboration over these past days had begotten trust in Lina’s moral commitnt.

She knew that Lina would not intentionally harm her in such situations.

So, after getting infected by Lina’s calmness, Teresa, whose heart was in disarray, cald down imdiately.

Tried her best to ignore the terrifying fireball that was oncoming and readily bestowed the blessing of wind on Ben, Enbow, and Marcia, who were moving in closer again.

This made them more agile and faster.

Teresa needn’t have dodged in the first place because Vivian was also behind her.

Although the magic of Legendary Rank was powerful, a mage of Gold Rank wasn’t without a ans to break it, especially an ingenious one like Vivian, who often had so odd ideas.

Vivian, as an Alchemist, fully utilized the power of existing potions.

Six blue crystal bottles were tossed out at the sa ti, forming a regular hexagon.

Skimming past Teresa’s body, they faced the trajectory of the incoming fireball and suddenly shattered mid-air.

The liquid in the bottles didn’t spill, but intertwined with each other, forming a hexagonal magical array that shines with a blue light in mid-air.

The fireball hit the hexagonal magical array and was like it had landed directly into a pool of water.

A lot of white mist and the hissing sound of the flas being forcibly extinguished appeared at the sa ti.

As more and more white mist spread around, the seemingly powerful fireball had completely vanished.

Theoretically, a spell’s power has a direct relationship with the strength of the caster’s mana, the way it’s released, and the constitution of the spell model.

So, the sa spell cast by a Legendary Rank mage is often several or even dozens of tis more powerful than that cast by a Gold Rank mage.

To counter the Fireball Technique of a Legendary Rank mage doesn’t just require a simple casting as Vivian did.

But Vivian didn’t just use one spell.

Each of the six crystal bottles contained a potion storing water-attribute mana equivalent to an Ice Sphere spell.

After these potions ford an actual array under her precise control, they demonstrated several tis the power, enough to nullify a dium-scale magic attack from a Legendary Rank mage.

The Elental Mage was quite anxious in his heart.

Several attacks were effortlessly neutralized, and three close-combat professionals were buzzing around him like flies, not to be gotten rid of.

A guardian knight, whose defence was like a wall, was quickly rushing back after knocking his companion flying.

All these annoyed the Elental Mage imnsely.

So when Catherine returned with her shield, the Elental Mage gritted his teeth in hate and decided not to hold back on his mana anymore.

When a Legendary Rank mage no longer holds back their mana, it’s a disaster for their Gold Rank professionals who are in opposition.

The Elental mage stopped evading and stood still, casting a spell cancellation barrier on himself.

This barrier could negate three functional spells, thus avoiding Vivian’s magic counter or the harassnt of the Silence Spell.

After completing this precaution, the Elental Mage’s Magical Shield expanded instantly to its maximum output.

The almost substance-like shield emitted a faint blue light, as if mocking the futile attacks of the surrounding people.

The faces of everyone present were sowhat grim.

They unanimously launched a powerful attack on the Elental Mage, calculating that even if they were unable to break his shield, they would still deplete his mana to the maximum.

Only by completely depleting his mana could they have a chance of victory.

Everyone was giving their all to attack, but the shield of a Legendary Rank mage was not sothing that seven Gold Rank professionals could break within dozens of seconds.

Within the shield, the Elental Mage comfortably chanted a long spell.

Everyone knew that the longer the chant, the more powerful the magic tends to be.

“Retreat.” Catherine suddenly backed away and yelled, “Retreat behind , I’ll withstand this attack.”

The others’ attacks faltered, and although worried about whether Catherine could withstand this, they had to obey her command for the ti being.

They quickly retreated behind her, watching her raise her shield, watching her hold her ground, watching her cast the Legion Barrier and Legion Horn.

The Legion Horn is a knight tactic skill similar to the Legion Barrier; the Legion Barrier strengthens anti-shock damage when holding one’s ground, while the Legion Horn enhances anti-magic capabilities when used in combination.

Simultaneously releasing three tactics exhausted Catherine’s vitality greatly, making her face look sowhat bad, but she had to bear it and face the Elental Mage’s large-scale magical attack.

As the Elental Mage’s chant ca to an end, the free energy in the air started to vigorously agitate.

A dull pressure appeared around Catherine, much like the oppressive sensation in the air before a storm.

Everyone was waiting for the Elental Mage’s spell to complete; Lina, Vivian, and Teresa each held a near-complete protective spell or divine spell in their hands, ready to choose a mont to share so of the pressure with Catherine once the other’s magic was released.

Contrary to everyone’s expectations, the long-awaited attack did not materialize at all.

Just as the Elental Mage was about to finish his magic chant, a well-prepared mix of fire and earth magic about to solidify, seven arrows shot out in swift succession.

In specific attacks levied by the professions of thieves and archers, there was a strong tendency for penetration, often breaching the enemy’s shields to hit their main body before depleting their aggression or mana.

This was what made them so of the most disliked professions.

These seven arrows carried such penetrating power, hitting the sa spot on the Elental Mage’s shield one after another until at last, the seventh arrow shattered his shield.

The ensuing force was directed at the mage’s neck, desperate, he had to cancel the completed spell and quickly dodge to one side, although he narrowly avoided the peril of being pierced through the neck, he was not able to evade the arrow which pierced his shoulder, leaving behind a transparent hole drenched in blood.

“Is it really okay to ignore like this,” Frustration perated Muir’s voice: “This disregard for my presence right in front of you, releasing such grand magic, how can you look down upon so much?”

“Damn it, Aide, what are you doing?” the Elental Mage shouted angrily: “Why was he able to attack ?”

“He got past , I couldn’t break through,” Aide, who had already thrown away his shield and one-handed axe and switched for a two-handed battle-axe to enhance his mobility, replied: “Ovis should be climbing up very soon, hold on for a bit.”

The difference between a shield warrior and a guardian knight is such a helpless thing.

Both trades sacrifice a portion of their attacking power for the sake of defense.

In comparison, a shield warrior has a higher level of defense than a guardian knight, which significantly plays a larger role in territorial warfare.

However, the mobility of a guardian knight is far superior to a shield warrior.

Guardian knights, who possess a variety of acceleration and charge skills, can act freely even with a person-tall giant shield and full-body armor.

Hence, the best approach to break through a shield warrior’s defense is to shift the territorial warfare into motion warfare, to make the shield warrior unable to keep up, and this way, the defense line constructed by the shield warrior will naturally crumble.

“Everyone, work a little harder.” Muir shouted louder: “In theory, my Endless Opera House can control that Berserker for another three minutes.

We don’t know when the Undead Mage will climb up, so let’s kill this Elental Mage first.

However, where’s Pannis?

How co he hasn’t joined the attack?”

“You just focus on attacking.” Catherine’s gaze shifted back to the Elental Mage, and assuredly replied, “He will surely appear at the most suitable mont and at the ideal place, there’s no need for us to worry.”

“That’s good.” Muir used consecutive magic to force Shield Warrior Aide to retreat a few steps.

Several arrows were already set on the Flaron Harp, targeting the Elental Mage.

“Ovis,” the Elental Mage shouted angrily, “how much longer are you going to wait downstairs, hurry up and help.”

“I’m here, and I even have a gift.” A human head flew high into the sky, spinning in the air as it erged from the staircase corridor, covering tens of ters before accurately crashing into the Elental Mage’s sight.

The head was directed at the Elental Mage, just enough for him to see the lingering shock and disbelief on the Undead Mage Ovis.

Tossing the head aside, Pannis slowly ca back up from the stairs, extended his arms towards the Elental Mage, and said: “He was in quite a hurry, so only a part of him made it back.

I hope you don’t mind.” (To be continued.
