269: Chapter 35 Collision Within the Plan_1 269: Chapter 35 Collision Within the Plan_1 “Ah~~~” After the fourth scream, no rider stood in Catherine’s way anymore.

Holding the Falcon Shield in front of her body and maintaining a balanced lance fra on the horseback, Catherine leaned forward, her waist and thighs following the rhythmic canter of her steed.

She eased the horse’s burden through resonance, allowing it to reach higher speeds.

Behind her, the furious cavalry gave chase, facing an orderly infantry formation with no obstruction in their pursuit.

Catherine spurred her steed on, kicking up a thick cloud of dust as she charged headlong into the foot soldiers.

“Knight!

Charge!” Catherine’s call echoed out through the cracks of her helt, vibrating with the unique oscillation of tal and acted as a declaration of attack.

The urgency of the hoofbeats against the ground, sounded like one rider but quickly grew louder and heavier, as though thousands of horses were following close behind.

Every soldier bracing for impact shared the sa illusion, believing that Catherine had morphed into an entire cavalry unit, with spears pointing in every direction, ripping through everything in their path.

“Boom,” the collision occurred.

Catherine arrived too quickly.

Even the most experienced commanders hiding behind the scenes couldn’t mobilize the infantry formation in ti to form a thicker defense line.

They had no choice but to face her charge with a thin attack line.

She rode into the enemy ranks fearlessly.

Any extended weapon was snapped off against Catherine’s Falcon Shield.

Any soldier blocking her path, without an exception, was either thrown off by the galloping horse or rcilessly trampled under the iron hooves.

Only then did Catherine truly understand what Pannis had ant earlier.

In her eyes, the actions of everyone else seed to have slowed down.

Every enemy’s attack was futile.

She could freely navigate through a forest of weapons without a single enemy hurting her.

The ferocious enemies seed to have beco a group of harmless infants, making her feel that even a victory would not bring her any joy.

The infantry square of just over a hundred people was weak especially when they didn’t have ti to change formation, rely six or seven rows deep.

Catherine didn’t even need to search for weak points in the formation; a simple charge, a quick thrust, was enough to tear the infantry square like paper.

The once orderly troops were split into two chaotic halves.

After cutting through the enemy lines, Catherine didn’t stop or even slow down, she urged her horse to do an impossible move.

Enhanced with Aggression, her horse also broke through its usual physical limits, rearing up before landing, defying inertia to make a full-180-degree turn and then charging back at full speed.

This is what makes a knight terrifying, never-ending charges.

Once broken through, there is no ti or opportunity to adjust the formation or regroup.

Especially when a team of Silver Rank or above knights have Aggression, they can carry out this combat technique to the extre, invincible.

The rumbling hoofbeats once again sounded like a death sentence tolling in their enemies’ ears, stirring their constricting hearts.

In their eyes, Catherine was a nightmarish figure beneath her horrifying mask of steel, showing them a bloodthirsty and ferocious smile.

“It seems that everything is going according to plan.” Pannis was seated upright, her arms crossed and hand supporting her chin as she watched Catherine’s battle, “There is no suspense now.

The victory of our brave knight is undoubtedly inevitable.”

“It seems that everything is going according to plan.” At an entrance to a cave halfway up a mountainside, a man wearing an Earth Wolf mask surveyed the main battlefield.

Seeing Catherine’s groundbreaking victory, he was neither surprised nor anxious; he rely said, “The next step can proceed smoothly.

You may go.”

“Charge.” From a few hidden caves on both sides of the slope, over twenty people suddenly burst out.

With a loud roar and their weapons aloft, they used the difference in elevation to their advantage, charging swiftly down the mountain towards several passenger carriages, preparing to split the wedding procession in half.

“Boys, show them what you got.” The twenty city guards who were at Ayrland’s side jumped out from both sides of the carriage and charged directly towards the bandits.

The ten archers in the wagon quickly climbed out and onto the cart roof.

Instead of attacking imdiately, they adopted a vigilant attitude in case the enemy had any tricks up its sleeve.

The situation in the middle of the battlefield was montarily stagnant.

Both sides had almost equal numbers and overall strength.

Moreover, both groups were given a strict order not to land deadly blows, making it difficult to decide the victory in a short ti.

The battlefield was divided into two sections: the front was Catherine’s one-woman show.

Everyone was drawn in by her figure and her will was controlling everything.

The enemy’s numbers were simply too large and even though their formation was broken, they held their ground, refusing to scatter, thus prolonging the battle.

The other half was the stagnant part of the battlefield.

The situation was at a stalemate but a little move from any Gold Rank professionals in both sides could shift the scales.

“This should do it.

Victory depends on this.” The man with the Earth Wolf mask let out a suppressed laugh.

“What Silver adventurer team, still being toyed with by us?

Now you go, you must complete the mission.”

The cloaked entrance of the cave was uncovered once more, and quietly, the remaining twenty individuals erged.

Unlike the previous group, they were fully ard, and each carried a hefty bag whose contents remained unknown.

After dashing out, they did not hesitate and imdiately charged towards the last gift carriage, each person displaying agility as they ran and leapt across the mountain path at a speed much faster than that of others.

It was apparent that this group was made up of the strongest bandits, even including secret Silver Rank individuals.

The mont these final forces appeared, the ten city guards responsible for vigilance sprang into action, quickly forming a defense around the gift carriage, ready to engage the incoming enemies.

However, sothing very strange occurred.

The ambush party, the strongest of their kind, swiftly descended the slope, but they did not attack the city guard defenders.

Instead, they swiftly reached into their bags, pulling out several large pottery jars, which they threw with a force that harnessed gravity and their own montum.

The defending city guards were caught off guard by this sudden turn of events, only able to watch helplessly as the jars smashed upon impact with the gift carriage.

Only a few jars were successfully intercepted by the guards, but these too shattered on the ground and in the air.

With the smashing of the jars, an acrid sll imdiately filled the air, altering everyone’s expressions.

“It’s fire oil,” roared Ayrland.

“Scatter, all of you.

Get away from there!”

The city guards and carriage drivers within the radius of the fire oil, upon hearing Ayrland’s command, fled with unprecedented speed.

They strived to escape the most dangerous area.

anwhile, the charging bandits, faces twisted in vicious smiles, each produced fiery materials.

Only after every guard and driver had gotten out of range, did they throw their flaming materials to the areas where the oil had spread.

“Hey, look here,” ca the voice of Lina.

With a swift throw of her hand, she hurled several small sky-blue crystal vials.

The tossing was so swift that it traveled the dozens of ters in an instant, hitting the oil-soaked areas first.

As the vials shattered, an extre coldness simultaneously spread, lowering the temperature drastically and turning the surroundings into a world of frost.

The late fiery materials fell onto the ground, but under the chilling control, the fire oil completely lost its flammability, allowing the lighter to burn out ineffectively.

While tossing the crystal vials, Lina leaped off her horse.

Her body, previously strengthened by divine spells, exploded with an incredible force and speed as she rushed uphill against the steep slope, striking her hamr at a hidden cave with force.

With the aid of her divine spells, Lina had great strength that allowed her to crush the heavy cloak in an instant.

“Hey, got you!” Lina yelled as she rushed inside the cave.

“Hey, got you,” echoed Catherine at the sa ti.

On the front line of the battlefield, the enemy’s layout had been torn apart, all the knights knocked off their horses and screaming in agony on the ground.

After the enemy’s several movents, Catherine saw through them.

Suddenly, after a charge, she shifted direction, barrelling towards a rocky wall amidst the enemies’ surprised gazes.

Just as she was about to reach it, she jumped off her horse.

A Falcon Shield flew out, spinning in the air and crashing into the rock wall with a whoosh, barely making a sound before the wall crumbled, revealing a small hidden cave behind it.

“Surrender, you’ve already lost,” both Lina and Catherine declared as they stord into the hiding places.

However, they found only two fading figures and their masks, along with the faintly shimring Teleportation Array on the ground.

“Yes, surrender.

You’ve already lost,” echoed the fading figures.

The hint of a trace vanished in the air, leaving only the gasps of surprise from the battlefield behind the two girls.

Turning around, they were t with a shocking sight.

Unbeknownst to everyone—how it was done and how it was hidden—there was a massive rock suspended about a hundred ters above everyone’s heads.

Everyone had looked up at so point but saw only the sky.

However, now, the rock suddenly appeared, free-falling without support.

Its target—the gift carriage—was now empty of people.

A platform ran parallel to the rock’s forr position on the slope above.

A petite girl in a bunny mask stood on the platform.

Her small figure gave off an air of a queen overlooking her realm.

She watched as the massive rock descended onto the gift carriages.
