“That’s Dragonscar.” Elrad stood at the top of a hill dozens of ters high, pointing down, he said: “Although the forest within Dragonscar is full of danger, once you enter Dragonscar itself, it’s actually quite safe.”

An hour ago, after saving the Roaring Adventure Group from a state of desperation, Dora shouldered the ground rat, Berserker Daniel hoisted up Stefana, and over a dozen people followed the two guides and began to sprint.

It was clear to everyone that the Roaring Adventure Group needed rest.

However, camping to rest within the dense woods of Dragonscar was virtually equivalent to suicide.

To rest, they had to continue their rush until they reached a safe location.

“There are no magical beasts in Dragonscar?” Dora curiously asked: “Is it not said that within this area, all magical beasts are drawn to the power inside Dragonscar?

Why, then, as the source, are there no magical beasts entering it?”

“Indeed, in all these years, I’ve never seen a magical beast.” Elrad sneered in response:” As for the reason, who cares.”

“I never encountered a magical beast inside either.” Gaston joined in: “I only saw so regular birds.”

“Then let’s go down and set camp to rest.” Dora looked at the sky.

“The trees are becoming sparser out here.

It’s so bright during the dayti.

Keeping this in mind, it’ll likely be hard to see anything when it gets dark.

Alright, let’s move.”

Upon receiving Dora’s order, more than ten people rushed down the hill, and out of the forest barrier at the hill’s base.

As soon as they ran into the open, everyone was astounded by the sight before them.

There appeared a square area of several tens of thousands of ters, with seven enormous cave entrances haphazardly scattered throughout.

Each entrance was of similar size, with the longest and widest reaching about forty ters.

The cave entrances, hundreds of square ters in size, looked like seven gaping mouths, ready to devour everything in their surroundings.

Approaching the edge of an entrance, they looked down to find that the cave was over one hundred ters deep.

The walls nearly vertical to the ground, a thin layer of fog hovered above the cave, as if it were veiling the cave with an air of mystery.

Through the fog, it was clear that the cave floor was completely barren, no signs of plant growth, no signs of life, only the bare ground and scattered debris were visible to the observers.

“That’s right, this is the place.” Pannis clapped his hands and gave Elrad a thumbs up.

“Impressive, you managed to find it by rely glancing at a rough map.”

“The only place that could contain your so-called warehouse within the range marked on the map is right here.” Elrad chuckled.

“So this is Dragonscar?” Lina leaned forward, curiously looking down.

“Is it really left by a dragon that self-destructed a long ti ago?”

“Don’t be ridiculous, silly Lina.” Vivian didn’t bother to be hurriedly taking notes, apparently she was sowhat familiar with the sight before her from literature.

“Do these holes look like they were ford by an explosion?

That’s just legend, and you actually believe it.

These sinkholes exist elsewhere too, so were those also created by exploding dragons?”

“Albeit just legend, it is nonetheless interesting.” Lina placed her finger on her lip with a mischievous expression.

“From what you’re saying though, you’ve encountered these before?”

“There are records of it in the guild’s research materials,” Vivian explained.

“There were predecessors who studied them.

Supposedly, there are six of such sinkholes throughout the entire Yarran Continent, and this is just one of them.

The largest group of these sinkholes is in the Northwestern Mountain Country Kulan, where the deepest sinkhole reaches between nine hundred and one thousand ters.

Its area is approximately several tens of thousands of square ters, akin to a mysterious underground world.

Regrettably, thus far, no one has delved there for exploration.”

“Actually, so have.” Pannis inserted from the side.

“However, not many have returned alive.

The pit group is made up of over thirty vertical holes, all connected by underground caves.

These visible sinkholes are just the tip of the iceberg, in reality below there is a myriad of unseen dark pits.

These interconnecting underground caves are as dense as a spider web, inhabiting a vast number of extinct beasts, and even so intelligent creatures that have degraded into wild n.

It is said that the dwarves speculated that if you combined all the ground and mountain holes, it would cover an area of about five hundred thousand square kiloters.

To fully explore this, even several lifetis would not suffice.”

“As for this place,” Pannis looked down at the cliff a hundred ters below and scoffed dismissively.

“This is just a miniature version, at most it could be considered a big hole.”

“A big hole?” Lina cornered her mouth and glanced down.

“I hate holes, and I hate those who dig holes even more.”

“Alright, stop looking.” Catherine called out, bringing everyone’s attention back.

“Let’s set up camp here.”

“Don’t we need to go down?” Fist fighter Antoan pointed to the pit.

“Are we just going to camp on the ground?”

“No need.” Elrad shook his head.

“Once you reach here, it’s considered safe.

There won’t be many magical beasts that approach easily, so rest assured.”

“Let’s get moving.” Catherine urged.

“Later we need to carefully plan our later journey.”

They chose the campsite between two pits separated by more than thirty ters, with their backs facing a path more than thirty ters wide, which served as an escape route in case of an attack.

Facing the open field, they didn’t set up any specialized fences around the site, choosing a fully open campsite instead.

With plenty of ti, they set up ten small tents around the center of the campsite.

The center spot was made into a simple stove with stones picked up from around the area.

Pannis and the ranger Charles hadn’t participated in the construction of the camp.

Separating North and South, they had entered the jungle to hunt for a full day’s worth of food.

The basic rule for surviving in the forest for an extended period is to not consu their long-lasting food supplies as long as they could find a safe and abundant source of food.

Therefore, hunting every day had beco an essential skill for adventurers venturing into the jungle.

Inside the camp, the construction work had been completed early due to everyone working efficiently.

After settling Stefana, the exhausted priest, and the dispirited mole-rat, the rest of the people sat around the stove, tidying up their bags and equipnt while waiting for the return of the two hunters.

As professionals who live in the wild, everyone, including the ladies, had so hunting skills.

However, they felt it was better to wait in the camp compared to the professional ranger and the extraordinary Pannis.

Sure enough, before long, they saw Pannis leisurely returning with a waterproof skin bag hanging on a rough branch.

“Thanks for your effort.” Catherine took the bag from Pannis’ hand, “What did you get?”

“A unicorn deer.” Pannis threw the branch aside and casually sat by the fire, “I’ve already cleaned and portioned it.

We’ll roast so for lunch and have deer at soup for dinner.

Is Charles not back yet?”

“He should be back soon.” The lean Antoan appreciated Pannis’s hunting work and said, “Don’t worry.

We frequently travel in and out of the Shining Forest.

There wouldn’t be problems with Charles’s hunting.”

“You mainly operate in the Shining Forest?” Pannis asked, “Normally a forest adventure wouldn’t take more than a month or two at most.

Why did you take so long this ti?

From what I heard from Elrad, you have already been here for over three months?”

“Yes.” Antoan sighed wearily, “We had so issues with our itinerary this ti.

We took many detours and wasted over a month.

We also nearly lost our lives here.

After we return, we need a lengthy break.

I don’t plan to take any more assignnts for at least half a year.”

“Resting is good.” Pannis glanced at Stefana’s tent, “What’s your plan?

How long are you planning to rest here?”

“One day will be enough,” Antoan said, “We will rest today and depart tomorrow morning.

By the afternoon, we should be able to leave the Dragonscar region.

We will then resu our usual routines in the forest.”

“We will go with them,” Dora ca and sat down, absentmindedly poking at the firewood under the stove, “This way the two teams can cooperate temporarily.

It will ensure our safety.

You will not need to accompany us back either.

Besides, with Gaston as the guide, Elrad can stay back and continue guiding you.

This will be more convenient for everyone.”

“Actually, since we are already here, it wouldn’t be a problem if Elrad went back with you,” pondered Pannis, “I rember the way back.

I won’t get lost.”

“Never mind, it is better to be safe,” Dora shook her head, “No matter how good your mory is, you don’t live in the forest.

There could be unexpected situations which will make things more complicated.

Moreover, Elrad agrees.

He believes in taking responsibility for the tasks he accepted.”

“Um, I see,” Pannis smiled slightly, “Alright then, we will do as you suggest.”

“Charles is back.” Antoan suddenly stood up and went to greet Charles who was returning from afar.

“What about you?” After Antoan left, Dora quietly asked, “I asked my senior just now, but she wasn’t sure, how much longer do you need to find the treasure?”

“Who knows?” Pannis shrugged, took out the tir and looked at it, “As of today, not counting today, I estimate about seven days, possibly eight if we waste so ti.

If my prediction isn’t wrong, we should know whether we can find the treasure within seven to eight days.”

“So, you will be staying here for at least seven more days?

That really is a nightmare.” Dora shrugged, “Anyway, good luck.

I hope everything goes well for you.”

“There’s trouble.” The returning Charles hurried into the center of camp, “While hunting, I saw so Marrow Eaters again.

I saw at least seven or eight of them, but they hadn’t spotted .”

“Are they heading our way?” Pannis asked, frowning.

“No, I don’t think so,” Charles replied, “They were just wandering around.

Maybe they were looking for food.

We don’t have a concealnt barrier now, could they find us?”

“No problem.” Elrad, who had been chatting with the other guide, heard their conversation, “Even if the magical beasts locate prey, they won’t easily step into this area.

But the ones you saw, were they the ones who attacked you before?”

“Uh, I don’t know.” Charles was startled, “They all look similar.

There weren’t any nas on them.

I couldn’t tell.”

“No problem, just be careful next ti you go hunting,” Elrad nonchalantly waved his hand, “There won’t be any danger.”
