Catching this girl, who could summon an Imperial Satellite Cannon and control Magical Beasts, didn’t take any effort at all, and one could even say that we didn’t even enter into a real battle. As soon as she heard that she could get als by following us, she practically jumped at the opportunity with the enthusiasm of a trillion.

Sandora woke nearly ten thousand civilians who had been sleeping throughout the entire zone, while the Heroic Spirits and Imperial Agents responsible for blocking the area and preparing to fight the Night Parade of Hundred Demons ended up performing a dumb show of sweeping the streets. As for the one hundred employees of the Superpower Team, who originally planned to cooperate with "Boundless Love" in the outer periter, they quietly went back to their respective hos, hopefully keeping a forgiving heart towards today’s baffling operations. After all, they weren’t the only ones who got royally screwed over—several Imperial Leaders were in the sa boat.

Lin Xue began drafting a report on the spot regarding the bizarre conclusion of this incident as soon as she got into the vehicle. She felt it would be difficult to explain to the old man back ho why the much-hyped Night Parade of Hundred Demons event had ended so abruptly. Following Sandora’s suggestion, she ultimately decided to throw all the bla on "Boundless Love." The official statent went sothing like this: With the selfless help and cooperation of the colleagues from the mysterious organization "Boundless Love," the mass panic induced by the Night Parade of Hundred Demons in K city, surrounding five districts, ten counties, and four towns finally ca to a smooth end. The mastermind behind the event remains confidential, the details of the event’s handling are inconvenient to disclose, and the reasons for the incident and the enemy’s motives will not be shared. That’s all.

"I think I might have to draft an apology along with it," Lin Xue leaned on the back of my chair, playfully blowing into my ear, "Wood, did you know, when I foresaw that this matter might involve the Empire, I ended up involving one-third of the organization’s upper echelon..."

"I even deployed the Heroic Spirit Army."

I glanced at the dirty girl in the passenger seat, who was devouring the snacks Sandora brought, clearly indifferent to the conversation and glance beside her, or maybe her world now only contained food, oblivious to everything else.

Completely unaware of being the main culprit, indeed.

"That’s different," Lin Xue knocked on my head, "You are their boss; even if you ordered the Heroic Spirit Army to polish Mars, it wouldn’t be a problem. But my trouble is much bigger, mobilizing so many resources, now how am I going to explain this in the end."

Miss bemoaned while shifting her gaze to the passenger seat, where a girl was crunching potato chips loudly. The girl, startled for a second, cautiously offered the food in her hand, hesitantly asking, "Um... can I still eat this?"

"Go ahead, eat," Lin Xue said with a broad smile, "I can’t believe I went through all this trouble for such a person; now I still have to explain to grandfather, it’s so annoying!"

In our earlier conversation, we had already learned this girl’s na and her supposed identity. Her na is Milia, with a long full na that I couldn’t rember; it was clearly not a Chinese na, and even her identity wasn’t that of an Earthling—at our first eting, she accidentally ntioned "this world," revealing her dubious identity, and during the later battle, this girl nad Milia also displayed her ultimate skill of summoning a Two-headed Wolf, a feat you certainly wouldn’t find among Earthlings.

Of course, what was even more intriguing was the impressive Satellite Strike and the information terminal in her possession.

Lin Xue, the weirdo, eventually pulled out a bunch of information terminals and let Milia choose freely, a move that successfully threw the latter into a state of ntal confusion, making her unsure whether to continue being wary of us: her premise for hostility toward outsiders seed to be soone trying to steal her "Holy Plate," but if the other party were dealers of "Holy Plate," the antagonistic position seed indefensible.

In the end, with Lin Xue’s Holy Plate clearance sale and Sandora’s snack offensive, the girl nad Milia finally relaxed her hostility towards us, answering a few of our questions.

"I ca from a planet called Mobra," Milia said, stuffing her face with food, "Mobra ans earth and ocean. It’s a highly developed world where people worship the ’Blue Light’ and live prosperously under the protection of the Sky Corridor. Although there are conflicts and threats from huge beasts, it’s still much better than here. In this world, on average, I hear rumors of wars or disasters every two days. It’s terrifying."

Milia felt very wronged by her dire situation, and as a result, she had no fondness for Earth either. But if what she said was true, then her world of Mobra did seem better than Earth.

"How many of these terminals are there in your world?"

While Sandora watched her food being crunched by soone else and felt distressed, she pulled out another information terminal and asked Milia, who reflexively checked her waist pouch to ensure her belongings were still there before impatiently correcting, "This is not an information terminal; it is a Holy Plate! It’s the crystallization of the Blue Light! In Mobra, these disks are very precious, only held by clergy and important figures, and those who can actually use a Holy Plate are extrely rare."

Milia spoke with pride, her dirty little face blossoming into a broad smile, which quickly faded as she continued, "Uncle originally didn’t want to reveal the Holy Plate, saying it was to protect , but then you all saw it..."

Sandora said indifferently, "Anyway, this thing doesn’t seem special to us. I’m curious about your power, the ability to summon the ’Satellite Cannon.’ Where did you obtain it? In that world you spoke of, how many others possess this power? Or rather, where did you get the authority to control the ’Satellite Cannon’?"

Sandora’s questions kept coming, and though her tone was calm, I could still sense her urgency. Milia could only helplessly shake her head, "You speak oddly. It’s not called a ’Satellite Cannon,’ it’s Thunder Roar. I don’t know where what you call ’Satellite Cannon’ is. In Mobra, the top sign of a clergy mber is the ability to summon the wrath of the Blue Light. Unfortunately, though, Uncle wouldn’t let use it recklessly. If you hadn’t taken the Holy Plate, I would never have revealed my ability!"

Milia nodded emphatically, as if confirming to herself that she had only revealed her closely guarded power because the situation was dire. Then, shaking a bag of potato chips in her hand, she said pitifully to Sandora, "Do you have more of these?"

"How long have you been hungry?!" Sandora reluctantly took out more snacks. Even though these few packets hardly made up one-thousandth of her total stock, she was still quite irritated. If it weren’t for my suggestion, no one could have taken food from Sandora’s hands in this world.

"I’ve been hungry for a long ti, many days without enough to eat," Milia tore open a packet, "Since coming to this world, I don’t know anything. My connection with the Blue Light was suddenly reduced to almost imperceptible. I wanted to find soone to ask for help, but those people treated as a troublemaker and almost caught . If not for the small summoned beasts that helped , I might have been locked up by now. Later, I found out how dangerous this world is from the television and that there’s a severe rejection of outsiders. Of course, I dared not reveal my identity and had to hide everywhere... Gradually I ended up like this."

We were all sowhat silent, unsure how to respond to this girl: she possessed a power surpassing any Earthling and could summon Satellite Cannons and huge magical beasts, yet she quickly fell into this state. Should we say she was too kind, or too timid? It felt like Milia had never been exposed to the outside world; she knew nothing of human cunning, even getting fooled by the mostly cinematic stuff on the television. This girl, unless that Mobra is truly a carefree paradise, was likely sheltered and never saw the real world. I guess it’s the latter.

During our short journey, we asked Milia many things; perhaps out of gratitude for the food or due to her naivety, she responded openly to our questions. However, the only problem was that she knew very little—she knew the na of her hotown, called the information terminal a Holy Plate, the Satellite Cannon as Thunder Roar, didn’t understand what we ant by the ’Xyrin Legacy,’ nor could she explain what the Blue Light was—it was all so vague from such a young girl; how much could she clarify our doubts?

Milia beca a starving little beggar on the streets of Earth within a month. If it weren’t for her basic sense of vigilance and knowing to summon so small magical beasts for minimal self-protection in tis of danger, I can’t imagine how she managed to survive until now.

However, during her ti roaming, her "excessive self-defense" had caused quite a few troubles. Although I’m still unsure of the exact process, her summoning technique was probably the direct cause of the recent frequent paranormal events in K City and surrounding areas. Based on the playback of the energy scans from the scenes at that ti, Sandora analyzed that Milia’s summoning technique was accompanied by very strong and lingering spiritual waves, which remained at the scene after the summoning ended and showed a spreading trend—clearly, they were in effect, releasing the nightmares from the ordinary human spirit world.

Milia had arrived in this world about a month ago, coinciding with the first reported sighting of a supernatural event. At that ti, the child foolishly asked people for directions ho and almost got herself captured, impulsively using a summoned beast to escape.

"This child has been through several cities," Sandora said, using a spiritual connection to communicate as she looked at Milia. "She’s really a lively one. With no social experience whatsoever, it’s a miracle she wasn’t sold off."

This was Sandora’s grumbling about how her food was consud by others. In fact, we also knew that Milia wasn’t as gullible as she appeared. Although she lacked worldly experience and was quite clueless about everything on Earth, she was quite vigilant. From our recent conversation, I realized that although she wouldn’t harm anyone deliberately, her ability to flee imdiately upon sensing sothing suspicious was quite impressive, and with the aid of various useful phantom beasts, she managed to hop from city to city safely despite her disheveled appearance.

She was like a young rabbit leaving its burrow for the first ti, not recognizing a wolf, but sensing the slightest rustle and ready to flee. If she hadn’t been extrely hungry this ti, distracted by rummaging for food and failing to notice that everyone on the street had passed out, she would probably have run off without a trace.

"By the way, who are you guys? Why do you also have a Holy Plate?"

As we were nearing ho, Milia finally finished her foraging, and like she had just rembered, she curiously asked us.

"I really don’t know how you’ve managed to grow up," I comnted, exasperated by her slow grasp of common sense, "Our identity is quite complex, and doesn’t belong to any world, ’Xyrin Apostle’—you might not understand what that ans... Just know it’s sothing very powerful. If you behave, maybe we’ll take you ho."

"You can take ho? You’re not lying!?" Milia imdiately widened her eyes, her voice tinged with excitent. After being adrift in this world for more than a month, hearing about a chance to return ho would unsettle anyone.

I simply nodded, not saying anything more, but that gesture alone was enough to thrill Milia imnsely. At the end of the day, she’s still just a simple-minded child.

Nothing like a certain scamr who pretends to be innocent to get on board!

I swiftly turned my gaze towards Lilina, who gave an indifferent look: what can you do about it?

This naturally dark fake Lolita, I was too trusting of this lass’s innocent and pitiable exterior back then, only to find out once brought ho, soaked in water without cutting, she was the darkest for a hundred miles around.

A few minutes later, we returned ho, and as the seventy billion car door opened, a large group of people walked out, a sight that would surely be considered supernatural by anyone. Big Sister was waiting at ho, but when she saw that we didn’t co back escorting a suspected criminal heading straight for Shadow City but instead brought a dirty fourteen-year-old girl, even soone as composed as Big Sister was montarily stunned.

Lin Xue chid in from the side to help explain, "Sister Chen Qian, Wood has picked up another girl from outside."

This girl couldn’t survive if she didn’t sabotage every now and then!

"The situation is complicated, I’ll explain it later; she’s not a threat," I said, pushing a slightly dazed Milia forward to Anwina, who was waiting at the hall, "First, let her take a bath, then find so clothes she can wear..."

As I said this, I looked around. Qianqian, Lin Xue, and Sandora were one tier, and the remaining ones were in Pandora Visca’s Lolita group. I inadvertently let my gaze linger on Pandora Visca a little, nodding thoughtfully, "Looks like she can’t fit into Pandora’s clothes either..."

Pandora, being short, glanced at with her big, gray eyes and lowered her head, preparing to headbutt.

Fortunately, the problem with clothes was easily resolved. We had so suitable for a thirteen or fourteen-year-old girl at ho; since Tsuruya and the others would co over every now and then, and they found it troubleso to bring their own clothes every ti, Big Sister had prepared several sets for them. Milia, slim and petite, was on the sa level as ’Washboard Black,’ and I reckoned Black wouldn’t mind missing one or two pieces of clothing.

"This is where you guys live?" Milia, while being led by Anwina to the bathroom, still curiously muttered, "It’s much more ordinary than I imagined, aren’t you supposed to be very impressive?"

After Milia left, we finally sat down in the living room and detailed everything to Big Sister, especially emphasizing the suspicious power of the other party.

"A transmigrator, huh," Big Sister pondered, "I wonder if she’s a remnant of the initial wave of transmigration. How did she evade the Ti-Space Administration’s search?"

Sandora curled her index finger to her chin, a habitual gesture when thinking, "I’m curious about this too. She doesn’t evoke any sense of transmigrator disharmony in this world, as if the world hasn’t rejected her. Even Dingdang didn’t detect her presence before."

Little Thing, at that mont, was counting threads on my shoulder and blurted out without lifting her head, "Dingdang definitely didn’t miss anything! Dingdang is amazing!"

"Crossing into another world without causing any repulsion, or even showing any disharmonious characteristics, only the Divine Race and Xyrin Apostle have such racial talents," Sandora continued, "This carbon-based life form nad Milia sohow can summon the Imperial Satellite Strike—though it seems just a type of auxiliary satellite ray prepared for minor conflicts—and she can use the terminals of Imperial Commanders, maybe that’s why. To so extent, she possesses the traits of a Xyrin Apostle, causing the world to misrecognize her."

"It’s just like Ah Jun," Qianqian tilted her head, "doesn’t Ah Jun also summon the Satellite Cannon?"

I had thought of this too, but the situation was still slightly different. I summoned the Satellite Cannon relying on my real spiritual waves, whereas the girl nad Milia needed to rely on skill. According to Sandora’s observations, she first altered her spiritual power’s shape to mimic the soul waves of a Xyrin Apostle, then used this disguised spiritual wave to trigger the satellite strike. One is the original, the other a counterfeit—that’s the essence of the difference.

So, it seems I have a natural talent, while Milia must have relied on acquired learning and training. Although it’s a guess, it’s very likely correct. However, regardless of the process, our principle of summoning the Satellite Cannon is indeed the sa, utilizing a bit of our own energy through skill to leverage the vast outer forces—an example on a larger scale is borrowing the powers of nature for divine wonders, and on a smaller scale is like poking a lightning rod during a thunderstorm with a wire, the difference being the forr is controlled and the latter just requires bravery and a foolish spirit—where has this topic gone?

No matter how Milia obtained her power, why an Imperial Satellite would obey a human’s control, the world called Mobra had certainly garnered our sufficient attention. Undoubtedly, there are still functioning remnants of the Empire there, and possibly—a large group. (To be continued. If you like this work, feel free to visit Qidian (qidian) and vote or subscribe.
