Capítulo 1031: Chapter 1031: Anwina’s Guests

The firsthand information obtained from the Abyss was quickly sent to the Star Domain Divine Realm. This ti, the Divine Race finally managed to respond tily on the matter of ti. We received a reply from Father God that afternoon: the information has been received, significant discoveries, the Divine Realm is organizing personnel to enter the Abyss to check the situation.
This ssage is not actually good news, because Father God took it so seriously, which is enough to show that the circumstances encountered by the deep-diving ship within the Abyss are definitely quite abnormal.
Taville spent two days sorting through all the old data, including environntal information inside the Abyss Gate recorded by the Old Empire tens of thousands of years ago, various observed phenona, and the experintal data left by the prototype ships of the deep-diving ship. She also had her assistants retrieve shared data between the Star Domain Divine Realm and us. The Divine Race has been continuously monitoring the already-discovered but not closed Abyss Gates over the long years. Their information is more detailed than what we found from historical fragnts. Based on comparisons of this information, Taville has completely confird that the environnt inside the Abyss has undergone great changes compared to tens of thousands of years ago—it has begun to exhibit special landscapes that can be called “natural phenona” (that is, those oscillations), and hidden, yet orderly information has erged amidst the chaos.
These mutations are shocking, even Father God himself never imagined there would be a day when environntal changes occur inside the Abyss—one might even say that no one thought there would be anything that could be called an “environnt” in a place like the Abyss!
No one knows whether these changes are good or bad. If we look at it on the surface, the ergence of a shred of order amidst the madness and chaos of the Abyss is an incredibly good piece of news. This ans that their destruction of the real world will show more weaknesses and be easier to resist. However, now is a critical period with an extraordinary event about to occur: the Void Cataclysm.
Similarly, no one knows what on might occur if the Void Cataclysm happens. However, if it truly has an on, it would surely be an unprecedented event. The mutation of the Abyss environnt occurring at this ti is really too untily. Qianqian’s intuitive insights, which she guessed, have been proven to be incredibly accurate multiple tis. It’s unclear if this counts as that girl’s special talent, but anyways, this ti, she tightened everyone’s nerves again. Especially for and Father God, those two Void creatures—King Huron is still unaware, she just returned to the Huron Divine Realm, Star Domain and Huron are not as easily connected as over here, we have to admit that it was really not the right ti for that big sister to go back.
Piles of reports, case files, analysis conclusions, and scientific data are laid out in front of us. At any ti, it’s a thing that makes people scratch their heads, but now I have no choice but to sit down and look through them one by one because—Sandora next to has to deal with about three tis more than I do. It’s really embarrassing to just leave in such a situation…
Moreover, Sandora has ample reason for to sit here: the event of the Void Cataclysm is only eligible to be researched by Void creatures, so she believes there might just be sothing in the intelligence in front of us that would give intuitive insights. Just for this possibility, who knows how many zeros of intuitive insights, I have to sit here.
The only thing worth being comforted by is having a pretty girlfriend next to , which isn’t too bad… right?
“The last observation record of the Divine Realm was two hundred years ago,” Sandora transferred a piece of data onto the data terminal in my hand, rubbing her forehead as she said, “At that ti, they hadn’t discovered any abnormal situations inside the Abyss. In other words, we might be the first ones to observe the situation. Just like us, they have continuous monitoring of all discovered Abyss Gates, but regarding the interior of the Abyss Gates, generally, people really wouldn’t think of jumping in to take a look.”
“So you can’t determine when those stable background waves appeared, but they wouldn’t be earlier than two hundred years ago,” I lowered my head, seeing Dingdang about to climb onto a scroll sent by the Divine Realm. I reached out to grab her back: There’s certainly no ti to play with her when busy with work, Dingdang in a state of boredom easily runs around (is this the insight of raising a pet?), “It’s really bad, why doesn’t anyone monitor the inside of the Abyss Gates in real-ti? If there were a permanent outpost in the Abyss Domain…”
“The Divine City can’t handle it,” Sandora gave a look, “A job with a 40-50% death rate and it has to continuously cause deaths for billions of years. Would you dare take it on?”
I was speechless. The danger of probing inside the Abyss is self-evident. Each ti requires investing huge resources to make specialized probing equipnt. Even if these devices successfully return, massive resources need to be reinvested for adjustnts. Even the technologically mature prototype ships of the deep-diving ships cannot stay in the Abyss environnt for a long ti. The power of the Divine Race is strong but cannot cross this line: No one can create an observation post that can stay in the Void environnt for a long ti. Theoretically, what can remain safe in the Abyss for a long ti must be above the Abyss—only the Void is not afraid of erosion.
So even with long-term monitoring of many Abyss Gates, the Divine Race’s understanding of the situation behind the doors is confined to two hundred years ago. Of course, the more important reason for this situation is that after countless years of observation, no one ever thought there would be a day when the Abyss actually saw a mutation…
“According to my summary, the most notable change in the Abyss Domain now is an increase in things, or information,” Sandora tossed the data terminal and scroll onto the table, stretched her long lazy waist, “Those orderly background waves are the truly critical ones.”
“Oscillation then?” I raised my head to glance at her. Sandora, stretching her body in the sunshine, her curves exposed, truly beautiful—I watched for half a minute and nearly made Sandora cramp, she’s so real, she actually can change positions… “When the equipnt didn’t malfunction, the deep-diving ship didn’t sway and everything was normal, but everything in the Abyss vibrated simultaneously. How do you explain this situation?”
“Everything transmitted back from the deep-diving ship is not actually real, including those fogs: We can never know the true form of things in the Abyss because they don’t possess a form that can be observed,” Sandora reminded , “Those fogs are images processed by equipnt. Actually, there’s only deep or shallow Abyss effects—yes, effects. In that place, only effects truly exist. So the so-called oscillations could also be attributed to the wave fluctuations of information, intuition tells , the reason for those oscillations is also those orderly background waves newly erged in the Abyss.”
I gave her a sideways look: “Are you sure it’s your intuition telling you?”
Sandora stuck out her tongue: “Intuition first told Lin Xue, then Lin Xue told …”
I casually tossed this pile of stuff aside, feeling that no matter how much I look I can’t analyze much more from it. By the way, the incompatibility between the Divine Realm’s data scrolls and the New Empire’s data terminals is really a hassle, directly resulting in piling up so much in front of them, looking at them makes one feel imnsely headache-inducing. “You say, if this really is the on of the Void Cataclysm, what do we do?”
Sandora approached lightly like a cat, placed her head on my shoulder, hugged my neck with one arm, and rubbed her face against my cheek, her voice sounding lazy: “According to Xiao Xue, the Void Cataclysm does not have any impact on us. But you still want to save more worlds, so now we’re already doing that: deploying as many settlent forces as possible, powering up the Leaving World Garden fully, continuously searching for the New World. Rumor has it that the Divine Realm there is also doing the sa thing, you and Father God are doing everything possible to bring the Lower Realm under your protection before the Cataclysm, which is pretty good. As for those worlds not detected… even though saying this you might find a bit cold-hearted, let them quietly and silently fade away then, it’s a logic deadlock, you and Father God including King Huron are powerless: No one can save a world with which they have no contact, right.”
I thought for a while, reluctantly nodded, just at this mont the room’s door was suddenly pushed open with a bang, and Xiao Xue bounced in: “Hey Dad, Dad, you and …” Then she saw Sandora was also here and intimately snuggling , imdiately turned around to leave: “Oh, you guys continue, I’ll co in half an hour later…”
I felt amused and stepped forward two steps to drag Xiao Xue back by her neck: “Get back here! This girl doesn’t know how to knock on the door! Did no one teach you manners when you were young?”
Xiao Xue stubbornly held her neck to roll her eyes at : “You taught ! You were the one fooling your four-year-old daughter into drinking alcohol, and tagging with Mom to say I was free with the phone plan, I believed it till fourteen and a half years old, is this what a dad should do!”
I let go, unable to say a word. Xiao Xue, agile like a little monkey, twisted and hid behind Sandora, sticking out her tongue at . Sandora shrugged at , “Ah Jun, I always suspected that you wouldn’t be reliable in taking care of children—except when you’re playing with them.”
I thought about it… what the hell am I thinking!
Xiao Xue rushed up roughly, but it wasn’t a big deal. She just wanted to see her masterpiece: a painting. This bored girl suddenly thought she might be Picasso or Qi Baishi, so she spent half the morning painting in her room. I wonder where her brains have grown; despite being so tall, she sotis behaves like a naughty kid. However, after Xiao Xue interrupted and Sandora’s work, I suddenly realized sothing: so things can’t be solved by scratching your head for half a morning; everything needs to progress step by step. For the past couple of days, I’ve been locking myself up with those reports whenever I have free ti, but I haven’t figured out anything. Possibly because of this, Xiao Xue has beco extrely bored.
Down in the living room, I found our usually lively ho seed overly quiet. After asking, I learned that the Divine Clan’s Tiaozi Five have finally beco so restless that they went out to hassle humans under Bingdisi’s leadership, taking along a bunch of little ones (except for Pandora and Visca who consider themselves adults) and the ever-curious Qianqian.
Basically, the noisiest group at ho is not here, no wonder it’s so quiet today.
Pandora was quietly sitting by the small table near the stairs, seemingly in standby mode. Occasionally a beep cos from inside her, and she only stood up when she saw co down from the second floor, routinely and emotionlessly asking for a hug. I affectionately tousle the hair of this cat-eyed loli with a perpetually low sense of presence, and suddenly notice a small engraving on the stair railing nearby, 1.2 ters from the ground…
Forget it, wherever Pandora and Visca are active, you will always see various markers 1.2 ters from the ground. I’m bound to run out of breath complaining about each one.
Actually, 1.2 ters is pretty good. At least when I take Pandora and Visca to the park, it’s always just one ticket—the nearby park has a very humane rule that as long as they’re accompanied by an adult, all children under 1.2 ters tall can enter for free, regardless of how many there are. This mainly considers that most visitors in that park are couples, with very few adults bringing children. However, I recently heard they’re changing the rule; the limit will now exempt only one ticket for kids under 1.2 ters when accompanied by adults. This might have sothing to do with bringing five or six kids, paying for only one ticket, and playing all afternoon multiple tis. Really, the last ti I went to the nearby supermarket, I ran into the lady selling tickets at the park entrance, and she looked at like I was her class enemy…
I also t a lady at the park who asked about school selection fees for local elentary schools, who insisted I was a promising young elentary teacher until Visca ca over and called “brother…”
The super crow nad divh was perched on the low table in the center of the living room. Since it figured out how to open the doors and windows, use the doorbell, and move its perch into the living room, its intelligence is growing daily. Apart from not being able to speak, its intelligence level is absolutely on par for kindergarten. Visca was communicating with divh, possibly because she couldn’t tolerate her taciturn sister anymore, but she couldn’t find anyone at ho to play with, so she chose to interact with the crow. She caught a fat rat from sowhere and was holding it by the tail, offering it to divh while giggling, “I heard crows eat rats, so here you go. Tell where Anwina hid the cake…”
Lucky I caught it in ti! Visca is a bit too active. I imdiately stepped forward and slapped her on the forehead. The trembling rat fell to the ground with a squeak following Visca’s surprised cry, then raised its front paws, baring its teeth and claws to protest at us, emitting an unusually sharp “squeak squeak” sound: “Don’t you know manners? Learn so manners! By the na of the Goddess! I am one of the Goddess’s mounts, Pikachu Number Forty-seven!”
Visca was shocked, I was shocked, Sandora was equally shocked. Dingdang jumped out of my pocket and rode on the rat’s back: “Oh, that’s where you’ve been. Didn’t you say you were going to embark on a journey?”
The rat squeaked in response: “Yes, great Goddess, your servant, Pikachu Number Forty-seven, has embarked on its journey. I just toured the neighboring street and was on my way to the back market continent when I got caught…”
With a gloomy expression, I poked Dingdang’s cheeks with my fingers, almost dislodging the little guy from the rat’s back: “Could you stop letting your strange creations run wild everywhere?” Visca almost fed the mount Dingdang created to the birds!
The innocent crow divh tilted its head, watching the drama unfold before its eyes. Still with a juvenile mindset, it didn’t quite understand the situation, so in the end, it flapped its wings and let out a bored cry: “Caw!”
Since earlier, Pandora had been stubbornly hanging onto my neck. Now Visca was climbing up along my body, competing with her sister for the high ground. I’m almost used to these battles occurring on ; I only pinched the nose of the cat-eyed loli: “Where did Anwina go? Isn’t she usually the one looking after divh?”
“She’s with the guests, guests from another world,” Visca dodged Pandora’s swift hand-strikes before successfully clinging to my other shoulder, rubbing against while saying, “Didn’t she tell you yesterday that she wanted to invite guests to the house… hey! Don’t think you can get away with it just because you’re the older sister! I’ve conquered this half of brother!”
Pandora silently continued using hand-strikes to chase Visca away, her expression unmoved. I, carrying these two lively treasures, could still stroll around with ease, which seems to confirm Xiao Xue’s future impression of her dad as “like a mobile fortress.” I think Pandora and Visca should be quite happy now: Little Baobao, Lilina, rcury Lamp, and a whole bunch of competitors aren’t ho, so they can go wild. I haven’t even reached the guest room, yet these two are already preparing to draw borders and launch sieges on my body with colored pens… I say you two should take it easy!
As this happened, I rembered Anwina ntioning the invitation of guests yesterday afternoon. Little Ghost cautiously and seriously reported the matter to , saying she wanted to invite so guests from the world of Azeroth to our ho. I was surprised at the ti because I had never thought a hobody like Anwina would have a mont to invite guests. But thinking about it, it seed normal: perhaps people she knew when she was alive, since the situation is stable now, have managed to get back in touch. After all, although Anwina’s professional title is maid, she serves the Imperial Leader’s family. Often, I’m used to being with her in a brotherly role. For people from the world of Azeroth, this ghost who managed by chance to walk from Dalaran County to the Imperial Family is also quite a famous heroic figure—the kind with a skull symbol under the avatar in WOW. So given her high notoriety, it’s possible that her acquaintances from before have gotten in touch.
Although Anwina appeared especially serious when asking for my permission, I basically didn’t pay much attention to it: in my heart, this is Anwina’s ho too, she’s family here. Whoever she wants to invite over, all she needs to do is casually ntion it to , no need to be so serious about it. So today, I naturally forgot about it…
“Anwina’s guests, huh,” Sandora nodded, “I’m curious now. Let’s go have a look!”
The guest room is just on the first floor, a few steps away, and the door was open, indicating Anwina didn’t mind soone suddenly interrupting. Soon we saw who she invited:
A little girl in a clearly ghostly state, a gaunt man whose gray-white long hair covered half his face, emanating an aura of death, and a human woman dressed in a mage robe, exuding calmness and nobility—the latter was the only one who had a bit of vitality.
Three people in total, aside from the human woman who seed sowhat familiar, the other two seed unfamiliar—hmm, is this a family of three? (To be continued.
