"Yes." Janne Hayes finally reported seriously, "According to the ssage from Pyralis, Felix Kendall has escaped..."
Jasper Monroe slightly frowned upon hearing this.
Declan Pierce wasn’t surprised, "He didn’t let down, still has so skills."
Jasper Monroe couldn’t help but speak, "Make sure you hold back a bit. If Felix Kendall really gets into trouble on Pyralis..."
"Don’t worry, Mr. Monroe," Janne said, "Given Mr. Kendall’s skills, it’s hard for him to get into trouble. He almost made it through all of Pyralis... He got caught four tis and escaped four tis. Every ti he was held in a different place, now there’s no place left..."
Jasper Monroe: "..."
Declan Pierce listened and let out a light chuckle, speaking leisurely, "He wasn’t caught, he’s searching for soone."
"Searching for soone?" Jasper Monroe frowned in confusion, "But Tanya Sinclair hasn’t even reached Pyralis yet."
But before he could get an explanation from Declan Pierce, he noticed Declan’s face change a bit, and he started coughing violently.
Almost simultaneously, Dr. Wells ca rushing in with his team, and Jasper Monroe sensibly left the ward.
Just as he stepped out, he could hear Declan Pierce’s coughing behind him, growing more intense, as if he were about to cough up his insides.
Dr. Wells was shouting, "Quick, painkillers!"
Jasper Monroe’s back stiffened slightly. In the end, he didn’t turn around and walked out.
He left the hospital and got into the car.
The driver respectfully asked him, "Mr. Monroe, are we heading back to the office or directly to the airport, to return to the Swiss?"
Jasper Monroe looked at the packed schedule and slowly exhaled.
"Let’s go to the airport."
"Okay."
The car slowly slid into the night, and Jasper Monroe’s phone suddenly rang with a ssage coming through.
Daisy Bell: [Mr. Monroe, I finished the advertisent! Are you free now? I’ll take you to Aris’s best food!]
Then, Daisy Bell sent a little dancing figure.
Jasper Monroe stared at the animated figure for a few seconds and suddenly changed his mind.
"Not going to the airport anymore." He opened the address sent by Daisy and handed the phone to the driver for a look, "Go here."
"Okay."
The driver promptly turned on the navigation, but soon things started to seem off.
The road they were on beca more remote, and the surrounding buildings looked increasingly rundown.
The driver couldn’t help asking, "Mr. Monroe, are you sure this is the place?"
Jasper Monroe: "...Just follow the navigation."
"Yes."
The driver dared not speak anymore and followed the navigation to a block of apartnt buildings.
"Mr. Monroe, we can’t drive any further."
There were still two hundred ters left to the destination.
Jasper Monroe thought for a mont, then got out, "I’ll walk over myself, you wait here."
The driver was taken aback, "But Mr. Monroe..."
His words were cut off by the sound of Jasper Monroe closing the door.
Jasper Monroe walked into the narrow, rundown alley, paying attention to his phone’s navigation.
The alley was so narrow only two adults could walk through side by side, the surrounding walls worn down with the marks of ti.
He had never been to a place like this in his life.
But tonight, Jasper Monroe suddenly felt like trying sothing out of the ordinary; perhaps Declan Pierce on the hospital bed appeared too fragile, so fragile it was hard for him to accept, making him want to find an outlet.
A life so orderly was too boring, sotis, losing control wasn’t a big deal.
After all, he always had the ability to restore order.
Jasper Monroe followed the navigation to a crossroads when suddenly, a hand grabbed him.
"Mr...."
Daisy Bell had just opened her mouth, when the "Monroe" got stuck in her throat, and the next second, she felt a sharp pain in her arm.
With a click, her arm was instantly dislocated by Jasper Monroe.
Daisy Bell let out a piercing scream, "Ah! —"
The next second, Jasper Monroe covered her mouth.
Jasper apologized helplessly, "Ms. Bell, sorry about that. I thought it was a thug..."
As he spoke, he exerted force with his hand and reattached Daisy Bell’s arm.
As soon as Daisy’s nerves started to relax a bit, they tensed again, the pain leaving her with no strength to even scream.
"Apologies." Jasper Monroe sincerely apologized, released her, and took two steps back.
Daisy Bell looked at Jasper Monroe’s innocent yet handso face, took a deep breath, and held back the curse words that were on the tip of her tongue.
He wasn’t the sort of person she could just scold as she wished.
She forced out a client-standard smile, "It’s okay, Mr. Monroe, mainly my fault... too frail."
Jasper Monroe: "..."
He felt she was mocking him, and he had evidence.
