Flushing, in the office of the website.

Wang Jian looked at the docunts Jeff Bush had given him and fell into deep thought.

After a long ti, he let out a heavy sigh.

"You all know it, including the Arican public, the whole world hates the United States governnt!"

Actually, the plan was simple. It was nothing more than centing Wang Jian’s image as a victim of bullying and using the United States governnt to boost his own reputation.

The specific step was to have either the Senate or the House of Representatives pass a legislative proposal on "network literature restrictions."

By then, the dia, already having tasted the sweetness of controversy, would scramble to report on the news.

At that mont, the Governor of Texas would publicly express opposition to the bill and criticize the Democrat Party mbers who proposed it.

In this way, he would not only stoke mutual hype with Wang Jian, but also create an "innovator" image for Silicon Valley and the public.

Regarding Wang Jian’s concern that the Viacom Group might take advantage and get the Democrat Party to fully push for the proposal’s passage, the Governor of Texas had also made corresponding promises.

Of the nine justices in the United States Supre Court, five were Republicans.

And of the remaining four Democrat justices, two had personal ties to the Bush family.

With the "unconstitutionality" brake in place, the more oppressed Wang Jian was, the better.

When the news reached its climax, the Bush family and Goldman Sachs would arrange for Wang Jian to make a trip to the Vatican.

By then, he would, with the persona of an author oppressed by the world’s most powerful governnt, communicate with the other party.

He would then use the Church’s scandals in exchange for their silence on the style of works on the website.

Wang Jian thought it over and felt that there was no problem with the plan itself.

The problem was with the eldest son of the forr President...

He took a sip of coffee, picked up the other party’s resu, and muttered, "This Governor, really can’t be trusted!"

It wasn’t surprising that Wang Jian was worried—the resu was just too dazzling.

Before Little Bush began his political career, he had a stint in business.

At that ti, he used his family connections to break into the highly profitable oil sector.

Due to certain special factors, this oil company and the Rockefeller-controlled Standard Oil together secured the oil extraction and transportation rights in Iran.

aning, these were the only two companies in the world that could legally extract oil profits from that sanctioned country.

Yet despite Standard Oil earning massive profits, the Governor’s company managed to incur losses!

Not the sort of losses that appear on a financial statent to deceive investors, but losses so severe they almost bankrupted one of the shareholders, a forr United States Secretary of Energy!

"Shit! How did he manage that?" Wang Jian cursed quietly, shaking his head in disbelief, "Even a pig wouldn’t ss up that badly, would it?"

Luckily, this "genius" businessman, who entered the energy market with 2 million US dollars and exited with negative 200 thousand, had a rather smooth political career.

When Little Bush campaigned for Governor of Texas, he even managed to turn a seasoned Democrat Party mber into a Republican.

Wang Jian pondered and realized that he indeed didn’t have a particularly good thod of dealing with the Catholic Church.

"Forget it..." He tossed the resu aside and took a deep breath, "If worse cos to worst, I’ll stop writing and go ho to be a content billionaire."

"No matter what, it’s better than constantly worrying about extre religious fanatics coming after with a gun."

"Lincoln and Kennedy could be assassinated, so even if Black Water’s security is strong, it doesn’t have systemic support, does it?"

He opened a drawer and took out the phone number Jeff Bush had given him.

After hesitating for a mont, Wang Jian’s fingers pressed the phone keys.

"Hello, this is Wang Jian. May I speak with the Governor of Texas’s office?"

...

At the sa ti, in an office in Maine.

Like any other day, the senator eagerly stared at the phone on his desk.

This had started since Prince Charles announced his support for Wang Jian and Mr. Wood from Viacom Group went missing.

After that, this politician, blinded by greed and hearing only "Asian, author," decided to look up Wang Jian’s background.

But once he got hold of the information, he was taken aback.

Not to ntion the globally renowned Goldman Sachs standing behind him, even just the Asian author alone was not soone he could provoke.

This author had even caused several large-scale rallies?

More importantly, he was the actual controller of an internet enterprise worth hundreds of millions.

And his literary website, with even more users and valuation, was a rare profit-making internet enterprise.

Alright, being Asian in Arica is indeed third-class citizenship.

But with the glow of vast wealth, race and skin color don’t really matter!

"So, this is Viacom Group attempting a capital gamble with him?"

Only at this mont did the congressman feel regret.

"I’m just a Democrat congressman in a Republican ’stronghold,’ far from Los Angeles and New York!"

Putting himself in the other’s shoes, he thought a billionaire could have many ways to end his political career.

Like giving a significant political donation to the Democrat Party leaders, or simply throwing out a few million dollars to support his opponents.

"Once the bill is retracted, I must visit this entrepreneur." The congressman muttered to himself, planning for the future.

"A writer must possess traditional virtues, he certainly won’t hold a grudge against a small fry like ."

At that mont, his assistant’s voice ca through the intercom.

"Congressman, a call from the House of Representatives in Washington."

"Your bill has reached a conclusion."

Finally...

The congressman sighed with relief, feeling the tension that had been tight throughout his body finally relax.

"Put through the call," he instructed into the intercom.

"This is the audit office of the House of Representatives. I’m informing you that your proposal has been approved for review and will soon enter the voting stage."

"We hope you can co to Washington soon to present your proposal in person."

Approved, going to Washington?

The congressman paused for a second, then quickly turned off the speakerphone and picked up the receiver.

"But I’ve already submitted a request for withdrawal!"

"And isn’t the minimum requirent for a proposal to be accepted the signed support of two congressn?"

"Yes," the other side responded in a cold voice, "two congressn’s support is required."

"Your proposal ets the standards."

What?! The congressman’s hand holding the phone trembled slightly.

"Who, who is it?"

"It’s Congresswoman Rice from Colorado."
