Early morning in Texas, western United States.

The incumbent Governor of Texas, George Bush, watched the television reports on the presidential election with a rather ugly expression.

Although opinion polls and such were significantly inflated and not necessarily accurate,

the dia biased towards the Democrat Party wouldn’t dare to concoct data beyond about 5%.

Yet now, the Republican Party candidate was trailing the incumbent president by nearly 20%!

"All over Yahoo’s hopage, nothing but praise for Clinton," Bush said, glancing at the report handed to him by his aide, his worries growing stronger.

"Now, most of those who use the internet frequently are middle-class whites."

"According to past experience, these people should be steadfast supporters of the Republican Party!"

The Governor rubbed his face and cursed inwardly, "Damn the internet, damn the information superhighway!"

Just then, the office phone rang.

Bush had just picked up the call when the voice of his brother Jeff ca through the handset.

"George, given the current public opinion, the proposal by the Democrat Party congressman from Maine is unlikely to pass."

"It seems that the Asian bestselling author won’t be forced to lean towards us voluntarily."

Bush, thinking about his goal for the next four years, pondered for a mont.

This erging thod of information dissemination was starting to show its influence preliminarily.

Who knew how much the internet would have evolved in four years?

As the de facto controller of a literary website very adept at this new technology, that Asian author’s influence was also growing day by day with the advancent of technology!

"What about Lehman?" Bush asked.

"Due to the irreplaceable role of his writer’s identity in the developnt of the site, Lehman’s inclination has started to shift towards the other side," Jeff sighed, voicing his suspicion.

"Typical Wall Street style..." Bush paused, beginning to weigh the current situation.

Compared to that bestselling author, he seed to need the other party more.

Since trying to coerce him into running while ill and being forced to turn to the Republican Party through the Church was not feasible,

it was ti to take the initiative to woo that Asian bestselling author.

"Jeff, go see Wang Jian through Lehman."

"The gift we’ve prepared for him should have its wrapping box opened ahead of ti."

...

Half an hour later, inside a villa area on the Upper West Side.

Wang Jian watched, with a vacant look in his eyes, as Stephanie rose and fell on top of him.

It wasn’t that he lacked stamina, or that her figure wasn’t alluring enough.

It was just that in comparison to the morning exercise currently underway, his mind was on other matters.

"The Catholic Church..." he muttered, "If it really cos to that, I’ll go to Los Angeles to find Tom Cruise and join Scientism!"

Among the stubborn believers, there was no shortage of those with action-driven paranoia.

But surely that couldn’t compare to this universally recognized, brainwashing sect.

"Focus!" Stephanie scolded, looking at Wang Jian.

Half a minute later, she suddenly burst into laughter, "Nevermind, as long as you agree to go public with our relationship, I can take care of you."

"In that case, I could even beco like Dumas’s patron and lover, making a na for myself in history."

"If our descendants have a literary talent, they might even write a ’The Lady of the Callias’ for !"

"Tch," Wang Jian flipped over, pinning her beneath him.

"Even if I stop writing novels, I’m a billionaire, okay?"

"The shares of Twitter and the website combined are worth way more than your father’s wealth!"

"Wow, you’re so amazing!" Stephanie deliberately made an admiring face and giggled.

This expression irked Wang Jian, and he prepared to teach this "most beautiful CEO in Arica" a lesson.

When he was about to make his next move, a maid’s voice suddenly ca from outside the door.

"Mr. Wang, Mr. Lehman has co to visit."

"And with him cos another gentleman."

Upon hearing this, Wang Jian paused.

Then, he imdiately started cursing inwardly.

"Fuck! Fuck! Fuck!"

This was going to give him ED!

However, compared to won, business was clearly more important.

He flopped down on the bed despondently, then after sighing, got up and put on casual clothes.

"What about ?" Stephanie was also a bit frantic.

"If you want to go out too, I don’t mind."

She sniffed the scent on her body and whispered to herself, "It’s fine, there will be other chances."

But Wang Jian didn’t have the energy to care about her thoughts.

Now, he was plunged back into the doubts of the previous night.

"Lehman is in charge of the web project; if the Viacom plan goes through, his interests will undoubtedly be hard."

It wasn’t until Wang Jian arrived in the living room and saw Jeff Bush that he tentatively ford a bold guess.

"Mr. Wang, long ti no see," Jeff said, looking at the disheveled Wang Jian, first frowning slightly, then imdiately smiling.

"I just got so news about the Viacom Group and the Church, and as your friend and loyal reader, I could only co and disturb you right away with Mr. Lehman."

Just now?

Wang Jian snorted contemptuously inside, but his outward expression was very serious.

However, he also had no good solutions, so he decided to first see what the other party wanted to do.

"I heard this rumor last night too," he said, glancing at Lehman with a worried tone, "Shouldn’t the United States be a country with free speech?"

"Heh, Mr. Wang, don’t worry," Jeff said, pulling out a docunt from his briefcase.

"The Church isn’t invulnerable; this is so information we’ve collected."

Wang Jian took the docunt and almost threw up in disgust.

"Boys..."

Okay, this was indeed a big scandal, worthy of sponsoring the Governor of Texas.

As he pulled out his checkbook, he thought about the use of this information.

"Although this will make so extremist believers even angrier, it will also make more readers believe that I am not just slandering the Church unilaterally."

"I think, Mr. Wang, you’ve misunderstood," Jeff said, waving off the check handed to him.

"We’re all friends, and my father and brother have always taught that friends should help each other."

"Moreover, this is just a tool and can’t completely calm the situation."

After that, he exchanged a glance with Lehman, then took out another docunt.

"Once Mr. Wang gains greater prestige, you will receive more attention."

"Then, you will have the bargaining chips to negotiate with the Vatican."

Shit! Wasn’t his current level of attention already enough?

HBO was already using his caos as a bonus condition!

Wang Jian took the docunt, his expression suddenly very animated.

"Getting the House of Representatives to pass the ’Web Literature Administration Act’?"

"Yes!" Jeff chuckled, "The Republican Party has the advantage in the House."

"We’re quite confident about getting this proposal passed there."
