{Chapter: 116 Two plans}

William approached Alice with deliberate steps, his voice calm but chilling as he said, "Yes, you're right. You're not the only one. My body also incorporates the T-virus. The abilities you possess, I have as well. The abilities you lack, I still have."

Alice let out a sharp laugh, one that echoed with bitter defiance. "Hahaha, you're amusing."

William tilted his head, his tone flat. "What's so funny? Do you think finding another monster like yourself gives you a sense of belonging?"

Alice's laughter subsided, her expression hardening. "I laugh at how ridiculous you are. If I could, I'd give up this power in a heartbeat."

Her eyes darkened as her pupils morphed into black, triangular shapes. With a guttural yell, she unleashed a devastating pulse wave, the ground shattering beneath her feet as soot and debris filled the air, rushing toward William like a tidal wave.

"Impressive," William comnted, unmoved. "It's far stronger than what you demonstrated in Raccoon City. Back then, it might have hard in my human form. But now..."

The wave of destruction halted a ter before him, as if hitting an invisible wall. The shattered stones and dust hung in the air, suspended by his will.

"Damn you!" Alice scread, her voice raw with frustration. The force of her shockwave intensified, causing the ground to tremble and crack further.

William shook his head dismissively. "Save your energy, Alice. You can't kill . I, on the other hand, could kill you effortlessly. But rest assured, I have no intention of doing so."

As he spoke, her shockwave dissipated, crushed by the overwhelming power of his telekinesis. Alice staggered, clutching her head in agony as a splitting headache wracked her senses.

"The use of telekinesis cos with a cost," William explained coldly. "Even for soone like , whose brain has developed to the pinnacle of human potential, it still causes pain and dizziness. For you, who have overexerted your spirit, the toll is far greater. Your mind is overloaded, your brain straining under the pressure."

Alice dropped to her knees, her fingers digging into her scalp. Her voice trembled with bitterness as she murmured, "I've lost..."

"Yes," William replied, his tone devoid of sympathy. "You have."

"Are you going to kill ?" she asked, her eyes eting him with a mixture of defiance and despair.

"I told you—I won't kill you," he reiterated.

"Really?" Alice said with a weak smirk. "You'll regret it. If I get the chance, I'll kill you."

William t her gaze, unbothered. "I don't regret my decisions. And you'll never have the chance to kill ."

With that, Alice collapsed to the ground, unconscious.

Jill approached, her eyes narrowing as she glanced at Alice's limp body. "What happened to her?"

"She's passed out. She just needs rest," William replied casually.

Jill studied him for a mont before asking, "What's your angle here, William? You don't want to kill her, but you also don't seem interested in turning enemies into allies. What's your ga?"

William looked up at the sky, his expression unreadable. "Life is dull without a little color. That's all."

Jill scoffed, her voice dripping with sarcasm. "You're not so philosopher, William. You're just a brute pretending to have depth."

He smirked. "Fine. Consider exposed."

Rolling her eyes, Jill dismissed him with a wave. "Forget it, I'm too lazy to care about your affairs and don't expect you to save people, but you don't go too far, otherwise I will have a hard ti."

"Relax. Do I look like soone who doesn't know where the line is? am I the kind of person who does know when to stop? " William retorted.

Jill's expression darkened as she recalled sothing. "What did you an earlier when you ntioned Alice 'sharing her own mind'?"

"It's related to the 'Alice Project,'" he answered.

Her brows furrowed. "'Alice Project'? What the hell is that?"

William's smirk returned. "Let enlighten you. Before the Alice Project, there was the 'Nesis Project.'"

"The Nesis? You're talking about that monster Alice fought. From what I've heard, it used to be soone nad Matt," Jill said.

William nodded. "Exactly. The Umbrella Corporation conducted experints on both Alice and Matt, creating two evolutionary paths: perfect human evolution—Alice—and grotesque mutation—the Nesis."

He continued, "Unable to determine which path was superior, Umbrella pitted them against each other. You saw the outco—Alice defeated the Nesis. That victory cented the foundation for the Alice Project."

Jill frowned. "Let guess—the Alice Project was designed to exploit her genetic evolution?"

William's smile widened. "Precisely. The project had three objectives: first, to enhance Alice into a stronger biological weapon; second, to clone her and create an army of 'super-powered Alices' loyal to Umbrella; and third, to extract her genes to develop a serum capable of dosticating zombies."

Jill shook her head in disbelief. "That's twisted."

"Evil, perhaps. But undeniably fascinating, as Evil is interesting" William remarked, his tone laced with dark amusent.

Jill shot him a disgusted look. "Only a psychopath and pervert would find that fascinating. By the way, when you ntioned Alice 'sharing her mind,' were you referring to her clones?"

William shrugged. "What else did you think I ant?"

Jill hesitated before asking, "Do you think it's possible to dosticate zombies?"

"Alice's DNA is resistant to the T-virus, making her the ultimate test subject. Unfortunately for Umbrella, she's managed to stay out of their grasp. Without her original genes, dosticating zombies is currently impossible," William explained, his smirk turning wicked. "Still, the concept is intriguing, isn't it?"

As the first rays of sunlight broke through the horizon, Alice stirred. Her eyes snapped open, and she bolted upright, scanning her surroundings in confusion.

"Relax," ca William's voice from above. "It wasn't a dream."
