"Thank you," Jas said to the driver, as he got out of the car.

"You're welco, man. And congratulations," the driver said, with a smile before driving off.

Jas smiled, as he walked to the car dealer shop in front of him. He got to the building, pushed open the door and walked inside.

Walking into the building, Jas' eyes was flooded with cars and he nodded slightly in satisfaction.

"This is what I'm talking about," he muttered to himself.

He was about to start looking around when he heard soone calling his na. He turned to look at who it was and he saw a beautiful young lady dressed in black office attire, looking at him strangely, and yet with her version of a custor friendly smile on her face.

"Jas? Is this you?" The young lady asked with a mix of surprise and suspicion.

"I'm sorry. Do I know you?" Jas asked the lady in confusion.

"Wow. You're really Jas. I almost didn't recognise you. It's , Laila, from high school," the lady said, smiling.

Jas' eyes narrowed slightly when he heard the lady's na, and he quickly went down mory's lane.

The next mont, his eyes lit up and he smiled as he finally rembered who the you g lady in front of him is.

Laila was one of his classmates in high school. She was very beautiful, cool, part of the cheerleading team, popular and had all the qualities of a school belle. And she was also part of the popular kids group. Also, she was also soone Jas liked.

But as soone who was going through a lot of things and had a lot on his plate, he didn't bother confessing his feelings and that was how it died.

After graduating from high school, everyone went on their separate ways and Jas went on his. He never thought that one day, they would et again.

But Jas found it to be very strange. How did Laila recognise him? Back in high school, he was practically invisible to the other kids and interacted with no one except Leslie and so of her friends — a group that Laila wasn't part of —, so he found it strange that she was able to recognise him almost imdiately.

Though he had this thought, he wasn't bothered. Everything about high school and his feelings for Laila are way back in past.

"Oh. Now, I rember. It's been so long that I don't even rember everyone clearly anymore." Jas said, with a

smile.

"Don't worry, I completely understand. Even I almost didn't recognise you with how good you look now. Though, I find it sad that you didn't recognise right away," Laila smiled.

"So, you work here now?" Jas asked curiously, and Laila nodded.

"Uh huh. I'm a salesperson here."

"Wow. That's nice. Good for you," Jas said, and turned to look at the cars.

He could see lots of cars and he had no idea what to choose. There was rcedes, Audi, BMW, Toyota.... Lots of cars!

On the way here, he had planned to buy one of his dream cars but when he thought of how Patty would react when she sees a car that she feels is extrely expensive, he decided against it.

So, now he's going to make do with buying a good SUV and a cheap one. Though he doubts that any of the cars he's looking at are cheap.

Laila saw the way Jas was looking at the cars and she sneered in her heart.

'I wonder what soone like you is doing here? Are you here on a sightseeing mission or what? If you don't want to buy anything, get the fu*k out of here and let attend to the actual custors.'

These were her thoughts but the custor friendly smile on her face, said otherwise.

Laila saw that talking to Jas was a mistake, and she decided to quickly send him off.

"So, Jas, what do you do now?" She asked curiously.

"Nothing. We are on break, so I'm at ho doing nothing," Jas replied.

"Oh, yeah. Now that you ntioned it, I rember you got into college. What are you studying?"

"chanical engineering."

"Hehehe. Nerd." Leslie laughed softly, and sneered silently in her heart.

"So, custor, how may I assist you? What type of car are you looking to buy?" She asked with a slight change in her tone, as she finally got down to business.

Laila already knew the answer Jas would give as he doesn't look like he wants to buy a car. She has seen people like him a number of tis.

They co into the dealership, pretending they want to buy sothing, while they are only looking around and feeding their fantasies.

It was a sha that she has fell for it thrice but she isn't going to fall for it again. And that was why she asked the question.

Jas glanced at Laila and turned to look at a car. He noticed the change in her tone when she asked him the question, and he knew that she wants to get rid of him.

As for the reason why, he has no idea and he couldn't care less. To Jas, anything she was thinking was all in her head. He ca here to buy a car and he won't let soone like her ruin the mont for him.

"Actually, I'm looking for a cheap SUV," Jas replied.

"Ok. We have cheap SUVs and the cheapest here starts from $20,000." Leslie said, looking at Jas from the corner of her eyes and watching for his reaction.

"That's nice. Take to see them," Jas said, with a smile.

Laila was slightly taken aback when she heard Jas' words but she quickly composed herself.

She smiled at him and started leading him to the section where the type of cars Jas want, are.

"Follow , please."

Jas followed her and when they got a part of the dealership filled with SUVs, Laila started introducing them to him.

"This is the Subaru Crosstrek," she said, as she pointed to the first car, and started explaining everything about it.

"The Crosstrek is one of the best SUV cars of 2024 with their evolutionary advancents with engine and transmission refinents, a more modern infotainnt system, an optional power seat, and an improved EyeSight suite of active safety features that all heighten its appeal.

At 29 mpg overall, the Crosstrek boasts the best fuel economy for a non-hybrid SUV with all-wheel drive, and a base 2.0-liter engine. There's also an uplevel 2.5-liter engine which quicker, quieter, and more satisfying. Adding to the experience is the Crosstrek's excellent ride quality...."

Jas didn't pay attention to all of the rambling. He has no knowledge about cars. All he knows is that if one catches his eye, he would take it. He doesn't need all the specific.

He took a look around the section and he found one that caught his eye.

"What about that one? I like it. How much is it?" He asked, cutting Laila short.

It was darker gray SUV car with a Chevrolet logo on it.

"–what?" Laila asked in confusion.

"That car, I want it. How much is it?" Jas asked, pointing to the car.

"Oh, that? That is a Chevrolet Trax and it cost $23,900," Laila said, as she walked towards it.

" I will take it," Jas said.

"Are you sure?" Laila asked, with a smile and her eyes filled with curiosity and shock.

"Yeah. I will take it," Jas replied, smiling back at her.

"Nice. Very good choice, I must say. Let take you to the desk, so that you can make the paynt," Laila said, and started walking to the desk.

"Good, let's go," Jas said, and followed behind her.
