Apart from the mysterious iron box that emitted sounds and projected images, Adelle also saw many other magical things on the territory of the Double Rest Sect.

So she had seen before but hadn’t paid much attention to. For instance, the brick kilns that smoked and blazed every day, which produced bricks and tiles that beca neatly arranged red brick houses.

The interiors of these brick houses were divided into small rooms, all laid with floor tiles, which felt cleaner and tidier than looking at a castle.

Additionally, the Double Rest Sect had a rule: no one was allowed to relieve themselves on the Sect’s territory.

To relieve oneself, one had only to go to a small hut called a dry toilet, which was similar to the latrine in a castle, except that the castle’s latrines were generally high up, channeling feces and urine directly into the moat through a chute.

In places without a moat, special servants had to be dispatched to clean up, or they were simply left unattended.

In the territory of the Double Rest Sect, however, people concentrated their feces in dry toilets, and once a certain amount had accumulated, it would be repurposed.

When the forr Priest first heard about this, she was truly shocked.

Because the followers of the Double Rest Sect were actually adding these dirty feces into their farmland as fertilizer.

By doing so, wouldn’t the crops that grew from this soil absorb the feces, and then these farm crops would be eaten by people, effectively resulting in them eating their own feces again?

The forr Priest knew she shouldn’t ddle, especially since she was sowhat afraid of Li Yu, but for the sake of the people living on this land, she steeled herself to voice her concerns.

And subtly advised Li Yu to use a different kind of fertilizer.

But upon hearing this, Li Yu simply looked at her and said, "If you are not confident in the food here, I can have soone specially purchase a batch from outside for you."

"I’m not talking about myself, but about your followers, who are all very hardworking and simple people. As the Prophet of the Double Rest Sect, the person they admire the most, shouldn’t you consider their health?"

Adelle summoned all her courage to say these thoughts out loud.

After spending so ti with the lizard people, the forr Priest’s perception of them had changed significantly.

She, like others from the outside world, had regarded the lizard people as representative of bloodthirstiness and barbarism, with so even claiming they were no different from wild beasts.

However, when she truly lived among these lizard people, she found they were not as ferocious and heartless as the rumors suggested.

On the contrary, they worked deftly and without distinction of persons; anyone who encountered difficulty needed only to speak up, and those around would definitely lend a hand, treating others’ affairs as their own.

Moreover, they were very hospitable to outsiders, offering food and water even when there was a language barrier... they embodied a purity and simplicity that people from other places did not possess.

Yet, the forr Priest was not so naive as to believe all the previous rumors about them were false; clearly, these lizard people’s transformation was all due to the man before her who claid to be the Prophet.

Although Adelle had fallen from grace in her life after being caught cheating by Li Yu, she did not harbor any hatred toward him.

In fact, the forr Priest completely accepted her defeat. As the chess piece specially deployed by the Silver Moon Church against Li Yu and the Double Rest Sect, she knew better than anyone else the extent of the Church’s prior preparations.

They had brought in a total of thirteen exceptional Physicians, each with their own expertise, yet when combined, they were still no match for Li Yu and were forced to resort to disgraceful tactics, only to be utterly defeated in the end.

Now, even the lizard people, who were once unruly, had been tad and enlightened by Li Yu, so Adelle couldn’t help but admire him.

But as the saying goes, even the Wise Man can overlook sothing, and the simpleton can have an insight; even great people are bound to make mistakes.

Therefore, the forr Priest reminded Li Yu.

But Li Yu did not seem to take her words too seriously, and instead asked, "Who taught you this theory that using manure to water vegetables ans eating vegetables is the sa as eating manure?"

"Ah, everyone in the Church says so."

"Is everything everyone says necessarily right?" Li Yu said.

"Then who is right, the Double Rest Sect?" Adelle was sowhat unconvinced.

"Hmm."

"What, what is your proof?" the forr Priest stamred in retort.

"Because the Double Rest Sect teaches us that everything should start from practicality, and practice brings real knowledge. If you think that vegetables grown with manure are going to make people sick upon eating them, then prove it to . As long as you can bring evidence, you can convince to make changes according to what you say."

"There are indeed such records in the books of the Church, but I’ve been expelled and can’t go back to get the books for you."

"The evidence I’m talking about is not what’s recorded in the books, especially not from the books of Silver Moon Church. You need to prove it yourself."

"But how... how can one prove this?" the forr Priest was at a loss.

"It’s very simple, you can run an experint. For example, you can observe people who have eaten grain grown with manure and those who have eaten grain not grown with manure to see if there is a difference in their health. If the health of the forr indeed deteriorates, then it proves you’re right; otherwise, you’ll have to admit that the Silver Moon Church and most people were wrong."

"......"

Adelle was still pondering Li Yu’s words, as those words seed to open a new door for her, and the forr Priest realized that this was another way she could understand the world.

But she quickly reacted that sothing was off, the conversation between them just now seed like a teacher instructing a student.

But she clearly was not a follower of the Double Rest Sect.

The forr Priest was still torn, but then she suddenly heard a series of bell alarms, three in rapid succession, and Adelle even sensed an urgent threat from the sound of the bells.

Then the forr Priest saw Li Yu’s expression change. He pushed the door open and hurried out.

Adelle realized sothing and imdiately turned pale, gritting her teeth as she followed Li Yu outside.

Not just them, but as soon as the bell sound was heard, nearly everyone in the territory of the Double Rest Sect stopped what they were doing.

As previously rehearsed nurous tis, the warriors grabbed their weapons as quickly as possible. The elderly and children headed for the pre-dug cellars.

Because the Black Dragon had air dominance and could breathe fire, hiding inside buildings might not be a good choice.

Moreover, although the territory of the Double Rest Sect had made efforts to build brick houses, there were still many longhouses with thatched roofs, which were highly flammable.

To address this problem, Li Yu had the lizard people dig many cellars in the village.

This was an inspiration he drew from the air-raid shelters of old neighborhoods.

In the last century, due to worsening international relations and concerns about being nuclear-stricken by the US and the Soviet Union, almost everywhere people were digging air-raid shelters, and these shelters, or cellars, could also be used to defend against the Black Dragon with air dominance.
