Adelle initially accepted the job working for the Double Rest Sect reluctantly, simply to prove herself to Li Yu.

But deep in her heart, she still believed in Pisya; at least, that’s what she, the forr Priestess, thought.

Therefore, the girl refused to learn anything related to Saturday. She wouldn’t listen to Li Yu’s explanations of the Double Rest Sect’s doctrine and would avoid places marked with beaches, palm trees, and sun umbrellas from afar. She would leave her humble abode every day and return to her cottage right after work.

To complete her prayers to the Silver Moon Goddess.

Adelle hoped to maintain spiritual purity in this way, to avoid being corrupted by the filth of paganism.

However, so things were not sothing she could avoid if she wanted.

Her job inherently included tasks related to the activities of the Double Rest Sect, such as the initiation ceremony she had assisted Hera with previously.

The mysterious lody that had drifted from who knows where had been haunting her for days, almost becoming her inner demon.

The forr Priestess tried hard to forget it, but because she had listened to it hundreds of tis that day, she could now hum it spontaneously and even dreamt about it.

And even though Adelle was reluctant, she had to admit that it was indeed very pleasing to the ear.

That made the forr Priestess think back to the first ti she ca here when she heard another tune.

The Saturday hymn adapted from "Ode to Joy," sung by the lizard people in the form of a grand chorus, was robust and potent, full of strength and vitality, distinct from this lody, each with its own character. Compared to that, she preferred this lingering and lodious style.

No, no, how could she like sothing from the Double Rest Sect?

Adelle shook her head, trying hard to shake off this terrifying thought.

But regarding the source of that music, the forr Priestess still harbored doubts, and she didn’t expect to soon find the answer.

Hera taught Adelle step by step how to operate the Nut projector Li Yu had scooped up from Salted Fish Town.

She told the forr Priestess how to turn the machine on and off, adjust the direction and angle, focus, and play videos.

This projector wasn’t only for Li Yu’s missionary work, playing city promotional videos and pre-recorded lectures. Apart from these, Li Yu had also copied so other tutorials onto a portable hard drive.

For instance, so physical stamina and strength training thods, and combat techniques used by the military, wrestling moves, swordsmanship courses, etc., for the Saturday followers to learn.

This knowledge is easily found online with minimal effort in modern society, where most people can’t be bothered to click on it, but it’s quite a precious resource in Bratis.

Of course, there are experts here, like Jude, who kills as easily as slaughtering pigs. Li Yu asked the man with the scarred face if there were any special axe techniques, like those in the secret martial arts books of the novels.

Jude said that normal swinging and chopping definitely have standard motions, and he also had so small combinations that he found very handy, but most of the ti, he improvised. Things like weakness attacks and power techniques were figured out by Jude himself after chopping enough people.

This of course could work, but it definitely wasn’t as quick as learning from a teacher.

Besides, in these tis there was no online tipping, no "Like, Comnt, Subscribe," and it was still the stage where the Church apprentices could starve their Masters to death; the more formidable the expert, the less likely they were to easily take on students.

To know their training thods was not easy, and those thods might not even be scientific.

That’s precisely why Li Yu had made an effort to copy these online courses.

But it has to be said that the favorite show among the lizard people was indeed "Tom and Jerry".

This classic MGM cartoon, which originated in the 1930s, subsequently swept across the world all at once.

Li Yu had nurous mories related to Tom and Jerry from his childhood; the enduring popularity of this series, standing the test of ti and even transcending ethnic and regional boundaries, certainly had its unique appeal.

And most importantly, it was a silent film; it didn’t require any translation or adaptation from Li Yu, and he used it for the entertainnt of the lizard people. Three episodes were shown in a row every Saturday.

Even Adelle, when showing other videos, could close her eyes and silently recite Pisya’s divine command, but with "Tom and Jerry", she couldn’t resist. She told herself, just a glance, just one glance, and after that, no more watching.

But before she knew it, the words "the end" would appear on the screen.

So Adelle would start the next episode, following the drama together with the lizard people, with laughter occasionally erupting in the dimly lit small auditorium.

Through the beams of light cast by the projector, the forr priest could see the joyful smiles on the faces of the lizard people.

This scene suddenly moved her.

Wasn’t this exactly what she had set out to achieve when she resolved to beco a priest?

She hoped to help others, especially the ordinary people, to make their lives a little easier, to ensure their eyes weren’t only filled with numbness and exhaustion, to personally bring happiness to them.

But, once she beca a priest, things turned out contrary to her wishes. Her first assignnt involved her in the strife between the Double Rest Sect and the Silver Moon Church, and she was ordered to use dishonorable tactics to win the competition against Li Yu.

During this ti the Silver Moon Church fabricated many rumors about her to drum up her fa, making her reputation soar; yet Adelle felt no joy.

Because that was not what she wanted.

Being surrounded and lauded by people, stepping on flowers beneath her feet during those days brought her less happiness compared to this very mont—even though no one was paying attention to her now, with everyone’s eyes fixed on the projection screen.

The forr priest fell into contemplation.

Until an apple fell into her hands; when Adelle looked up, she realized she was surrounded by lizard people without knowing when it had happened.

Then more things fell into her hands—eggs, bread, and even blankets and smoked at. The lizard people continued to stuff items into her arms, pointing towards the direction of the screen and clamoring sothing.

The forr priest had never seen such a spectacle and was montarily stunned.

Then she heard Clara’s voice, "They want you to play another episode."

"But rlin has ruled that only three episodes can be played each week."

"It doesn’t matter, you’re not a follower of the Double Rest Sect, you don’t have to listen to him." The little maid instigated.

"..."

"Hurry up and play it, with this situation, no one will be getting out of here today if you don’t," said Clara.

Looking around once more, the forr priest saw pairs of eyes filled with anticipation, and ultimately she couldn’t bring herself to simply refuse them. So she nodded softly and started playing the next episode.

"Yay!" Clara cheered, high-fiving a nearby lizard person and said in the lizard people language, "I told you so, didn’t I? She’s new and easy to fool!"
