Capítulo 1312: Chapter 443: Centaur Tribe

In the depths of a dense forest, more than ten kiloters away from where the Secret Snake Sect was conducting a large prayer ritual.

Three four to five-ter-tall ironwood trees, resembling humanoid figures, stood behind a man and a woman. Their rough trunks bore the face of an elderly human, with particularly thick branches extending from each side like arms; they were the Ironwood Sentinels of the Elf Clan.

However, moving them consud considerable energy, so they usually remained in a resting state, rooted in the ground, slowly absorbing nourishnt from the earth.

The Elf Clan utilized this characteristic of the Ironwood Sentinels, not only casting Nature witchcraft periodically to aid their growth but also deploying them in key areas of Ferdinand Forest as a hidden line of defense against invasions.

This was one such Ironwood Sentinel station.

Lambert, who had just returned from a sneak attack, was speaking with Anna.

“Miss Anna, I’m sorry, I couldn’t save your kin,” Lambert said apologetically.

“No, no! Lord Lambert, please don’t say that. It’s because the enemy’s strength was too great,” Anna quickly waved her hand, saying.

She glanced at the two holes in Lambert’s light-colored linen coat, realizing that this Lord Lambert had indeed done his best.

There was an Epic-level strongman among the cultists, which no one had anticipated.

Because of this, the defensive power of Basaran was quickly destroyed by the cultists in a short ti.

If it weren’t for this Lord Lambert saving her, her fate would likely be the sa as her kin, serving as a sacrifice in the cult’s prayer ritual. So, she was very grateful to Rein’s friend—Lambert.

However, the thought of giving up on rescuing her kin was sothing Anna found hard to accept.

Because Aunt Delana was among those captured, and after her mother disappeared, Aunt Delana was her only relative. Moreover, although so Pure-blood Elves looked down on her as a mixed-blood, many Pure-blood Elves treated her quite well.

Therefore, Anna’s emotions were very conflicted at the mont.

Wanting to rescue them was almost impossible with her own strength.

But she couldn’t bring herself to ask Rein’s friend to attempt another rescue.

“Miss Anna, I will go again later; at least I can disrupt their ceremony and delay their prayer ti. As long as your kin are alive, we will always have a chance to rescue them,” Lambert pondered for a mont and said.

“Also, if I calculate correctly, Lord Rein should be arriving soon.”

Lambert rembered clearly that according to what Rein had told him earlier, Rein set out a day after him, so by this ti, he was likely already in Ferdinand Forest.

Rein might even be on his way here already.

Upon hearing Lambert ntion that Rein would also co, Anna’s beautiful eyes flashed with a hint of excitent, but then she imdiately showed a very worried expression, quietly murmuring:

“But if Rein faces that person, I fear he might also….”

In Anna’s mory, although Rein was extrely powerful, he was not yet an Epic-level strongman. Facing that person could be too challenging for him.

Most importantly, she didn’t want Rein risking himself because of her or her kin.

When the sudden incident occurred before, Anna initially wanted to send a ssage to Rein imdiately, but after thinking it over, she dismissed the idea.

Because she underestimated the enemy’s strength, thinking that the power of the Elf Clan could surely withstand their attack, but she didn’t anticipate the enemy being so strong.

Later, when the battle started, Anna never had another opportunity to send a ssage to Rein.

This is why Rein in the Imperial City never received any ssage from Anna.

“Don’t worry! Miss Anna, once Lord Rein arrives, these challenges will no longer be challenges,”

“That guy will be defeated, and your kin will be rescued,” Lambert said confidently.

Although that Epic-level strongman of the Secret Snake Sect was formidable, Lambert had witnessed Rein battle the avatar of the Nether Sea Goddess in the Dragon Valley Secret Realm, thus he had imnse confidence in Rein.

Even if worst cos to worst, once Rein arrives, he can seize any opportunity to rescue those Elves.

“Lord Lambert, perhaps you should remain here to harass them while I go to Ferdinand City to report what happened in Basaran,”

“You see, my injuries have completely healed.”

Anna stood up, indicating that her leg injury had fully recovered.

During the previous fight to defend Basaran Town, her left leg suffered a tibia injury. Otherwise, she would not have stayed at this relatively hidden location to heal first.

“Well… although your injuries healed quickly, your physical strength has not recovered,” Lambert shook his head, saying.

“Miss Anna, logically speaking, such a major incident in the southern forest should have warranted a reaction from Ferdinand City. Don’t you find it odd?”

“If you think about it, you’ll understand that sothing must have happened in Ferdinand City too, so even if you overco many obstacles to get there, it might be aningless.”

Lambert’s words were quite enlightening to Anna!

In terms of combat experience and understanding the ways of the world, Lambert naturally surpassed the naive Anna by a large margin, cutting to the heart of the matter with precision!

“But…” Just as Anna anxiously contemplated what to do.
