160 Kingdom of god
In a dilapidated basent located in the slums of what the natives dubbed ghator stood a red-haired female, her hair in a loose ponytail and her countenance pleasant as she humd a lighthearted tune while dissecting the lanky humanoid that was strapped to a tal table, her silky smooth hands waved the scalpel like a painter who was creating a masterpiece, her fluid but carefree movent seed to display an outstanding work of art.
‘Step, step’, the loud sound of footsteps reverberated in the basent as a figure was descending, coming to the location from the room upstairs, the disturbance did nothing to affect her mood as she continued her work leisurely, soon the door to the basent open and light flooded in further illuminating the dimly lit room.
The figure who entered the room inquired “Zero isn’t back yet?” the figure was naturally Layton, it had just been a few hoarse since they arrived in this world, they were not unfamiliar with plane travel but this one was decidedly different as nurous other practitioners who were their competitors had also arrived as most mbers of the fight club had participated in this event, so their first course of action was to hide their figures find a temporary base and then separate using their own ans to collect information about the plane they were in.
“No, but I’m basically done here, what have you found out.” Lilith answered as she lightly dropped the equipnt she was previously holding and sat down on a stool. Layton didn’t sit as there was only one stool in the basent, he simply rested on the rusty wall and recounted his findings.
“There is high-energy activity in the surroundings but it seems to be locked, only those with innate talents or who have mastered an artistic conception can drive it. The only free universal energy seems to be that of cosmic radiation that is abundant around which in turn gets transford into life energy for evolution.” From his investigation and the bonus of his will he cleared up a part of the power structure of the planet they were presently on, the power system was mainly based on life force or spiritual power, the different manifestations of these in diffrent ratios made up the diversity of the ans the practitioners of the plane without artistic conception possessed, the other factor in the diversity of the power system was their innate genetic talents and the use of outside force and treasures. With his own experintation he noticed he couldn’t release his realm, he could only make use of artistic conception to bring out a hint of its power.
Layton hadn’t found out the right way to go further because of limited ti and the fact that the strongest being on this planet was weaker than even his weakened self, but he wasn’t too worried about his weakened self, Lilith was the sa as they both had a feeling that if they tried to forcefully exert their full strength a road to do so would appear naturally. Layton’s and Lilith’s thoughts were interrupted as they felt Zero’s presence in the room, Lilith looked at her cloaked companion who appeared out of thin air with two crystal clear daggers hanging from her waist and slowly spoke, “The geno of the humans here are weird they are both stable and highly malleable, no matter the modifications it seems they won’t depart from a humanoid form, not only that the ergence of humans on the planet seems to be wrong although it seems to be a natural process but there exist traces of artificial manipulation, we should probably be situated in a zone under the human force.”
Lilith said informing Layton and Zero of her gains, although before they were transported into this world by the fight club a short summary of so details of the world had been sent to the participants, the summary only contained information such as the fact that there were 4 major factions in the plane which were Human, Demon, Zerg and Machine.
Zero gave an affirmative nod to Lilith’s statent and then added, “We are currently situated in a pocket space or secret realm, the wide universe still exists outside, it is not that hard for us to leave, I also found sothing else, you should be able to feel the vague calling right, our strength is not fully expressed” Layton and Lilith nodded in response as Zero continued “That is because we need to go to the main universe and go through the process of imprinting our domain on empty space fragnts hidden in the interlayer of the universe.”
“That’s too restricting.” Lilith said with a frown upon hearing Zero’s words, she was well versed in various ways of becoming a god and the thod Zero just said was eerily similar to an opportunistic way of building a kingdom of god. This way made use of the help of the plane by inscribing its domain into its core, allowing the user to easily control the laws of the plane while using the plane’s strength to evolve the domain into a kingdom of god and maintain it. This thod would have been a fine one if not for the fact that the plane will could easily block the practitioner’s connection with it and the kingdom of god, depriving the user of if not all but most of his strength.
.....
“Not really. I haven’t tried yet but from what I saw it’s basically a copy based on space fragnts in the interlayer, our realms still belong to us a copy may be left in the interlayer even after we leave, but I think it’s a good trade-off, plus the fight club won’t put us in such a position,” Zero explained when she noticed her teammates doubts and hesitation.
“Can I see your mory?” Layton suddenly asked, it wasn’t that he didn’t trust her just that he wanted to confirm the situation before agreeing to anything, no one was omnipotent at least at their level, so there might have been sothing she had missed when she was investigating, zero thought for a mont and then nodded her head in agreent, stretching forward her finger.
Layton t her halfway and as their fingertips collided a subtle silver light shown on his fingertips as the light of his will was urged, a mory was quickly sent over by zero, it showed her entering a special interlayer space, it wasn’t a purposeful entry but one that appeared as she tried to use her normal ans to enter the interlayer of space, the special interlayer seed boundless and there was hardly any concept of direction, it was only via zero’s spatial laws that she projected her perception through space to catch glimpses of various domain that were scattered throughout the vast space.
The mory ended there, Layton removed his finger thought for a mont before speaking, “I’ll try it first, although there might be so issues the risk should be negligible.” Layton said and without waiting for his partners to say anything he obeyed the subtle call while trying to urge all his strength causing him to vanish from the basent.
