A few more weeks passed in peace and happiness.

During that ti, Ethan's and Joanne's mother, Lady Catherine, arrived at Brynhildr Academy.

Joanne was glad to reunite with her mother, as she had missed the latter terribly. As soon as it was convenient to talk, the young lady recounted everything she had experienced during the ti she was in the academy.

Princess Ramona, who was already joined in the hips with her best friend, was also dragged along by Joanne to spend so ti with her mother.

The two of them even stayed in the house that the Protector Clans had purchased several months ago, which served as their base of operation in Liburgh Town.

Of course, Lady Catherine and Leah, Lily's mother, had also t several tis, and the two mother-in-laws had hit it off instantly.

When Lady Catherine said that she would accompany them to Southshire and stay until Lily gave birth, Leah agreed without hesitation.

Conall had decided to also accompany Lily back to Soutshire, leaving Lyall behind at the academy.

Ethan and his wife spent as much ti as they could before they separated.

"Don't worry. I'll visit you as soon as I can," Ethan said as he hugged Lily.

"I'll be waiting," Lily replied as he hugged him back.

Seff had arrived three days ago and rely rested for a few days before taking his family back to Southshire.

Since Lily was pregnant, Ethan volunteered to let rric and his n use their Flying Ship to take them back to Southshire.

He would not allow Lily to travel on land, wanting her to reach her destination as comfortably and as fast as possible.

After reluctantly saying goodbye to each other, Ethan, Joanne, and the rest of his lovers watched as the Flying Ship departed and disappeared into the distance.

Another week passed, and after receiving permission from Professor Rinehart and Professor Barret, Ethan and Chloe left Brynhildr Academy to head to the location of the Ancient Ruins of the Firbolg.

They didn't take a Flying Ship and simply flew in the sky using Ethan's Wind Dancer.

"I feel like it's been ages since we last had so ti alone like this," Chloe said as she rested her head on Ethan's back.

She was currently seated behind him, hugging his body to make sure that she didn't fall off.

"You're right," Ethan replied. "I've been too busy as of late."

Chloe humd in agreent.

The Ethan she knew was lazy and didn't want to study.

He would rather work on the farm, swim in the river, and play wherever he wanted.

When he first arrived in the academy, he was a happy-go-lucky fellow. Back then, the word childish fit him perfectly.

But after undergoing several tribulations and hardships, that teenage boy had grown into a dependable young man.

It would not be an exaggeration to say that Ethan had undergone rapid growth in his maturity and ntality in the span of ti that he had spent in the academy than the rest of his life combined.

Sotis, Chloe missed that naive, arrogant, and childish Ethan.

However, she preferred the current Ethan more because she felt more loved and more safe with him around.

Of course, there were tis when she wished that only she and Luna had the monopoly on him.

Unfortunately, that was no longer possible.

Five days passed. Ethan and Chloe finally arrived in what seed to be an extrely deep fissure that extended for hundreds of ters inside a valley, located in the southeast corner of Eastshire.

"This place feels strange," Ethan said as his Wind Dancer hovered near what seed to be a bottomless pit. "Did you really go to the bottom of this pit?"

"I did," Chloe replied. "Koko and Chessy led the way. It's quite deep, and there are several layers of invisible seals under it, hiding the entrance to the Ancient Ruins of the Firbolgs. Ethan nodded and navigated his Wind Dancer to dive into the darkness.

Having entered Nicole's pitch-black world, Ethan was a lot calr about going into places like this.

Also, his X-Vision allowed him to see in the darkness.

Although what he could see was only in the shades of gray, it was more than enough to allow him to know where he needed to go.

"It is indeed very deep," Ethan said. "How long have we been descending? Two hours?"

"Yes," Chloe replied. "When I ca here with Koko and Chessy for the first ti, it took us four hours to reach the bottom."

"Four hours? Are you serious?"

"I'm serious."

Ethan pondered for a bit before taking out his wand to cast a wind barrier around them before accelerating the speed of their descent.

Chloe smiled and continued to hold the Stone of Destiny, which was shooting a beam of light to the place where they needed to go.

Following that trail, they dove deeper and deeper into the pitch-black darkness. After an hour or rapid descent, Ethan finally saw what seed to be a stone gate.

Upon closer examination, he saw a symbol of a giant olive branch on its surface.

Ethan landed right in front of the Stone Gate, and marveled on how big it was.

'An Ancient Dragon can easily walk through this gate,' Ethan thought as he looked at the gate that was nearly a hundred ters tall.

While Ethan was deep in thought, Chloe held his hand and ordered him to press his left hand on the stone gate, then she pressed her right hand over it.

Taking a deep breath, Chloe then spoke the words of the Firbolgs, which would allow them to enter the gate that had been sealed for hundreds of years.

"Lathé Aranniel."

A flash of light wrapped around both of their bodies, and after a few seconds, Ethan and Chloe vanished from where they stood.

When the young man regained his senses, he found himself in a lush green field, buffeted by a refreshing breeze that helped clear his mind.

Chloe, who was still holding his hand and standing beside him, smiled faintly as she pointed to sothing in the distance.

"Welco to Sylvarath Aelindor, Ethan," Chloe said. "The last Bastion of the Firbolg Race."

Ethan looked at what seed to be a towering fortress, standing tall and proud in the

distance.

Just looking at the place made his heart start beating wildly inside his chest, feeling as if sothing or soone was calling out to him in the place that had protected the bloodline of the Firbolgs after they escaped the Fomorians in Midgard.
