Chapter 290: Chapter 290: Preparations
The dynamic energy adjustnt model proposed by Duke in this data can be applied to many Magic Potions, it just depends on how it’s used.
"Why has the energy required for extracting Automatic ditation decreased..." Duke suddenly noticed that the Skill Tree showed that extracting the Automatic ditation trait now required only four hundred energy points, whereas it used to be five hundred.
He quickly realized that it was because he had extracted the velocity compression trait, gaining this portion of knowledge.
Coincidentally, this part of the knowledge overlapped with the knowledge of Automatic ditation, so the energy required for extracting Automatic ditation was reduced.
Duke hypothesized that it was very likely due to this reason.
Knowledge is inherently interconnected, not independent, and all related to Magic Potion knowledge.
After receiving the docunts from the Arcane Master Association, Duke temporarily put this matter aside, planning to make good use of this data after returning from the Void Corridor.
"Mr. Duke, the association here invites you to participate in a Level 1 Arcanist certification eting, when would you be available?" Caroline proactively asked.
Duke did not expect that the Arcane Master Association would proactively invite him to participate in the certification eting; usually, one needed to apply for it themselves.
Although he now had one hundred and eighty-one arcane points, many have enough points yet still fail to beco a Level 1 Arcanist.
Points are just one of the conditions; many Wizards can accumulate a hundred points through small, fragnted research results.
But these Wizards’ knowledge and research abilities are insufficient, and they cannot pass the certification eting to beco a Level 1 Arcanist.
Duke even heard that there are Level 0 Arcanists with thousands of points, not knowing how they managed to achieve that.
The Arcane Master Association is likely very interested in the docunts Duke submitted, so they directly invited him to discuss, which essentially is a form of certification eting.
Duke planned to prepare himself thoroughly before going so that he could pass the certification eting in one go, saving ti.
He replied, "I am quite busy recently, let’s talk about it later."
Caroline naturally can’t force it, only saying, "In that case, Mr. Duke can contact
anyti when you are available, Caroline is always at your service."
She had already realized Duke’s extraordinary nature; in the Arcane Master Association, this kind of treatnt was usually given to very talented Wizards, whose future achievents are limitless.
Caroline had seen many such cases during her years working at the association, so she showed utter respect to Duke.
Even though Duke hadn’t beco a Level 1 Arcanist yet, he was already treated as an Arcanist.
...
With three days left before the Void Corridor opens, rrick and Duke arranged to et at Harbor City to discuss matters concerning the Void Corridor.
rrick laid out a large piece of parchnt on the table, saying, "Here is the known map of a part of the Void Corridor..."
This map was obtained by Master Land from a friend of his, and up to now, it’s the most complete map, with the most detailed information.
Despite this, the map is still incomplete, containing only a very small portion of the Void Corridor’s details.
Duke glanced at this map, finding it very odd, like fragnts pieced together.
rrick noticed the confusion in Duke’s eyes and explained, "The Void Corridor is a fragnted world, unlike the ordinary Plane, there is no complete planet..."
"No complete planet..." Duke then truly realized what kind of place the Void Corridor was.
To put it precisely, the Void Corridor is a void zone, only in this void many fragnted peaks, continents, seas, and so on are floating.
Each of these fragnts is enormous; so are even larger than all the continents of the Wizard Plane combined.
And in the Void Corridor, there are many such fragnts, all floating in that space, giving off a sense of desolation from afar.
From these fragnts, it can be seen that the original world here must have been exceedingly vast and grand, and even the surviving fragnts form such a massive world.
The map on the table records just the fragnt regions the cartographer has visited, and these regions account for only a very small part of the Void Corridor.
"You should replicate a copy of this map first, so if we enter and find ourselves in the mapped regions, it would give us so advantage," rrick said.
Duke took out a piece of parchnt, using his Spiritual Power to manipulate the ink, perfectly replicating the map’s content.
After completing the replication, he noticed the information in rrick’s words and asked, "Is our entry point uncertain?"
rrick nodded and said, "Certainly, just like the Black Sail Wizard examination, the entry points are random. The Wizard Council does this to avoid many Wizards assembling in one place, as that would greatly increase the potential for violent conflict, so they try to disperse individuals."
There’s no prohibition against fights and killing in the Void Corridor; if everyone appeared in a single fragnt area, conflicts and clashes would easily arise.
The Wizard Council’s original intention is to cultivate Level 1 Mages native to this Plane. If too many die inside, it defies their intent.
However, they haven’t completely forbidden fighting because it is a form of cultivation.
Those who manage to obtain resources must also have the ability to guard them, making resources naturally gravitate towards those with capability, which is the kind of talent the Wizard Council aims to nurture.
As for those with weak abilities attempting to just muddle along, it will depend on their luck; if they lack strength and cannot acquire resources or even lose their lives, they can only bla themselves.
"Additionally, the Void Corridor allows at most two Wizards to be transported to the sa place, which requires prior registration," rrick said.
This is also why rrick sought out Duke, as two people acting together is generally better.
There are quite a few Wizards entering the Void Corridor this ti, including many formidable characters, and even rrick doesn’t have confidence he can definitely triumph over them.
Coupled with rrick’s typically high-profile actions, he has offended many, with nurous grievances.
Duke suddenly thought, "I wonder if Bell will participate, probably he will."
He had recently encountered Bell in the Flower Sea Plane, and the other party should be participating in this journey to the Void Corridor, possibly even eting inside.
Although Duke hadn’t revealed his plan to participate in the Void Corridor, especially not ntioning it to the Giant Rock Comrce Association, he believed Bell likely knew his intentions.
