Wizard Somda walked over to the clock face, picked up a series of tools such as tweezers and screwdrivers, and began repairing the clock.

He looked extrely anxious, as if wishing he could grow an extra pair of hands. He muttered incessantly, "It must be quicker! What’s going on... Ti has stopped... This shouldn’t be happening..."

Lynch stepped forward and observed for a mont, noticing that Somda was repairing a peculiar round tal device.

Upon closer inspection, Lynch realized he recognized this tal device. He had seen it in the pile of books Somda had asked him to read. Lynch rembered its na—it seed to be called the Ti Plate? A component similar to the adjuster in a clock.

"Where did it go..."

At this mont, Wizard Somda crouched down and began rummaging through the scattered parts on the floor, seemingly searching for sothing.

Lynch glanced at the Ti Plate and noticed a missing groove. If his mory served correctly... that slot should be for placing the Three-type Gear, right?

Coincidentally, at this point, he spotted the Three-type Gear hidden beneath a pile of components nearby. He walked over, unearthed it, and handed it to Somda. "Is this what you’re looking for, ntor?"

"Found it at last." Wizard Somda swiftly took the Three-type Gear from Lynch and installed it. Clearly, Lynch’s judgnt was correct.

But soon enough, Somda encountered another problem—another missing part. This ti, it was the Double Rail Bearing.

"Where did the Double Rail Bearing go..."

Lynch helped search and quickly found the Double Rail Bearing pinned under a large gear to his left. He handed it over to Somda. "Here, ntor."

Wizard Somda accepted the Double Rail Bearing and gave Lynch a slightly unexpected look.

He asked, puzzled, "You recognize these parts?"

Lynch nodded. "You once instructed to finish reading all the books in your study. I’ve seen these parts in those books."

Somda’s eyes lit up noticeably. "Are you saying... you’ve read all of them?"

Lynch nodded again. "Yes."

For the past ten years, Lynch had been reading the books in Somda’s study. Initially, it was rely following Somda’s instructions, but after reading more, he discovered plenty of intriguing content that genuinely captivated him.

Later, whenever he felt fatigued during cultivation, he would switch it up and co to Somda’s study to read those ’extracurricular books.’

Although there were many books, through persistent daily reading, he had managed to finish all of them several years ago. To refine his skill level further, he even repeatedly read them multiple tis.

By now, every single book in the study had been mastered to the proficient level.

Wizard Somda still seed skeptical. "All of them?"

Lynch nodded. "Every single one."

Somda’s gaze lingered on Lynch for a mont, his wise old eyes hinting at disbelief. Without pressing further, he said, "If you’ve truly finished all the books, co help . You should be familiar with the parts here; please gather ten Magic Balls for ."

"Alright."

Lynch nodded, then began rummaging through the scattered components. Soon, he gathered ten Magic Balls and brought them to Somda.

Somda buried himself in repairing the clockwork, simultaneously delegating further tasks to Lynch to gather parts.

"Four 2-type gears."

"Right here."

"Two ters of copper core piping. You can use the serrated tool over there to cut it."

"Ready."

"Blue-striped rivets, make sure they’re star-shaped."

"Understood."

The proficiency Lynch had developed was no joke. Although he had never encountered the physical items before, these components in front of him felt exceptionally familiar—no different from everyday tools he regularly used.

No matter what part Somda requested, Lynch could accurately locate it amongst the scattered items and hand it to the wizard.

With Lynch’s competent assistance, Wizard Somda could focus entirely on repairing the large clock, no longer distracted by the constant need to search for various parts—thus saving precious ti and avoiding interruptions to his thought process.

In this manner, one focused on helping, the other on repairing. Soon, the gears and chanical constructs on the clock were thoroughly sorted out.

Wizard Somda finally closed the cover of the clock.

"Click!" A soft sound resonated.

At the mont the cover closed, blue light began to emanate from beneath it. These luminous traces rapidly illuminated the Magic Rune Track inside the clock, where nurous Magic Arrays glinted brilliantly along the circuit. The strange patterns etched across the device were fully lit at this mont.

When the final magical pattern ca alive, a series of crisp clicking sounds erged—’click, click.’ It was the gears inside the clock beginning to turn, and then—

"Tick-tock! Tick-tock!"

The clear sound of ticking suddenly beca exceptionally pronounced. It was the sound of ti flowing—the giant clock had started moving again.

Simultaneously, countless clocks suspended in the warped space around them reactivated, their stopped hands beginning to move again. Even cuckoo birds sprang out and chirped, ushering a chorus of harmony—all ceased ti resud its motion at this instant.

"Tick-tock! Tick-tock!"

Wizard Somda let out a long sigh of relief. "Finally... finally..."

He turned to face Lynch, gratitude evident in his gaze. "Thank you, apprentice. You’ve been of great help to ."

Lynch replied, "It’s my pleasure."

Wizard Somda continued, "Your na is Lynch, correct? Lynch Valen?"

Lynch nodded. "Yes, ntor."

Somda fixed his gaze on Lynch, his wise and aged eyes filled with insight. "The successor of the Eye of Death God, with no wizard bloodline, likely hailing from the Northern Frost Cold Territory of the Putan Kingdom. I’ve been there before—the snow flower trees blooming in winter are quite beautiful."

Lynch’s eyes widened in astonishnt.

Somda kept watching Lynch, his expression carrying a tinge of surprise. "Without relying on many materials or Magic Potions, you’ve condensed elents solely through your own ditation... Such a feat! A Third-class Talent managing to ascend to High-level Apprentice in such a short ti through sheer self-mastery—it’s truly remarkable."

Lynch opened his mouth but said nothing.

anwhile, Somda seed to discern sothing deeper, his eyes flashing with mild astonishnt. "Which school of spellcasting do you study? Your elental affinity seems so diverse... Wait! I see now—you don’t focus on a single school of magic. Instead, you’ve ticulously mastered myriad elental spells... Yet there’s a faint trace of soul corrosion around you. Interesting, bloodline and Dead Spirit elents? Judging by your adept handling of alchemy equipnt just now, it appears you’ve also dabbled in alchemy studies."

He chuckled, his eyes filled with admiration. "You’re quite the gutsy one, boy!"
