Collect Divine Fire!

Collect Divine Gifts!

Slay the Evil God’s followers!

Submit the corpse of the Dragon Evil Descendant!

Gather intelligence on the Otherworld’s Gods...

Carl glanced at the tasks at the top, shook his head slightly, and flipped directly to the pages suitable for a Great Knight.

’The Holy Hall is also collecting Divine Fire and Divine Gifts; I wonder if I have a chance to acquire so?’

’Legendary Potion?’

He looked up with an odd expression:

"You only need to slay a Lower Dragon Calamity’s servant, and the rit you earn can be exchanged for a Legendary Potion?"

"That’s right." The dwarf nodded:

"Don’t think it’s that simple. Dragon Monster Servants tend to stick together, and they can easily alert the Evil God’s followers. It’s best to act alongside a Legendary; I’ve seen many who thought it was easy but never returned."

"True..." Carl nodded:

"Dragon Calamities live in groups, making it difficult to deal with them. But how to confirm the task is completed?"

"Do we need to bring the body back?"

The Dragon Monster Servants are extrely large, and their scent can attract other Dragon Calamities.

Compared to slaying them, bringing the body back is even more dangerous.

"No need for that." The dwarf shook his head:

"Dragon Calamities have distinctive items on them, like so have dragon horns on their heads or an ’inner core’ inside them. Collecting these and bringing them back to will complete the task."

He glanced at the dragon horn on the table; his voice grew soft, then he gave a wry smile:

"It seems your journey here wasn’t peaceful, but no matter, as long as you get the items, it’s considered done."

With that, he pulled out a wooden token from under the table and tossed it over:

"Head inside and claim your potion."

"Thank you." Carl accepted the wooden token and bowed in gratitude.

"Young man, a piece of advice for you." The dwarf put away the book and sank back into his soft chair, murmuring:

"If you don’t have devout faith, don’t think about shortcuts, or you’ll regret it yourself."

?

Carl glanced at him and strolled towards the inner chamber.

......

"You got a Legendary Potion?"

Ruiqi’er looked at Carl in disbelief:

"So quickly?"

In the ti it took to have a al, he got hold of the very thing she had longed for. How could she not be surprised?

Even Hu, who always wore a stoic face, showed a shift in expression.

"Yes."

Carl took out a bottle of potion, opened the wooden stopper and sniffed it, a glint of light flickering in his eyes:

"Besides the potion, I also got permission to enter a silent chamber for retreat, where I can cultivate for half a month without worrying about supplies."

"That’s great!" Ruiqi’er exclaid with emotion:

"You just joined the Holy Hall and already received a Legendary Potion. You might beco a Legendary Knight in the future."

"We’ll be counting on you!"

"Conni." Hu pondered briefly and took out a Jade Pendant from his belongings:

"This is a family heirloom. It aids in focusing the mind and can help with breakthroughs."

"I’m giving it to you!"

He spoke few words, but his actions were decisive.

Carl was surprised.

"I shouldn’t..."

"It’s fine." Hu shook his head:

"When you advance to Legendary, I’d like to join you on missions and also get a Legendary Potion."

He was also a Great Knight, yet not at Perfection.

He had seen the Holy Hall’s missions and tried twice, almost losing his life both tis.

If a Legendary Knight assists, completing missions would be much easier and safer.

Ruiqi’er opened her mouth.

She also wanted to build connections but unfortunately had nothing good to offer, only able to watch Carl eagerly.

"Haha..."

Carl laughed heartily, showing his generous side:

"No problem!"

"When I advance to Legendary, I’ll surely go out on missions. You both can co along."

"If we all beco Legendaries, even Holy Knights, maybe we can change the present situation of the Holy Hall."

"Look at this environnt, filthy and chaotic. They accept anyone; it’s ti for a change!"

Uh...

The two were slightly stiff.

They didn’t have Carl’s grand ambitions. Not only aiming for Legendary but also Holy Knight, even changing the Holy Hall—had it not been for Carl obtaining a Legendary Potion, Ruiqi’er might have mocked him a bit.

If they didn’t take anyone, they couldn’t have gotten in either.

Carl didn’t intentionally lower his voice, which gathered many people’s gazes, so scornful, others cold.

But he remained indifferent.

To gain the riches accumulated by the Holy Hall over the years, he would eventually beco part of the Holy Hall’s upper echelon. Revealing his ’ambition’ now would lay groundwork for the future, making it less abrupt.

"I’m off to retreat."

Nodding to the two, Carl picked up the potion and headed to the silent chamber for retreat.

Closing the stone gate of the chamber, Carl’s face darkened.

"Legendary Potion?"

"It should be a Desecration Potion!"

Since the God War and the Moon Goddess’ fall, the Holy Hall had been secretly researching the creation of Desecration Knights.

The first generation of Desecration Knights, known as ’Great Swords,’ were all won; the stronger they were, the more easily they mutated.

The second generation were complete monsters.

It seed the Holy Hall found a way to produce a third generation of Desecration Knights, which was the potion in Carl’s hand.

"The Desecration Knights originate from the corpse of the Evil God Pale Wings, and this potion likely contains Evil God’s Blood."

"Evil God’s Blood surely carries Origin Power. If one’s will is strong, they could truly use the potion to advance to Legendary. But if the will is weak, chances are they’d beco irrational Desecration Knights. Then the Holy Hall could easily explain it as a failed breakthrough or loss of control, given advancing to Legendary is extrely risky and deaths are rather normal."

Weighing the potion in his hand, Carl contemplated:

"No wonder the dwarf ntioned having devout faith; those without it usually don’t have strong willpower."

"Heh..."

"He ant well!"

Turning around, he stepped into the Divine Domain Fragnt.

By now, the Divine Domain Fragnt was utterly different from when acquired, the size of a city.

Besides two Wizard Towers, various bases for witchcraft research were now complete, akin to a research city.

There were places to refine Demonized Items, Inheritance Witchcraft spots, and facilities for Magic Runes and spell necessities, as well as potion analysis...

"Boom!"

The Desecration Potion was tossed into a pool filled with solution by Carl, and various Magic Runes began analyzing the contents.

"As expected!"

"After taking the potion, the cultivator’s body changes from within until they beco a Desecration Knight."

"Even with strong will, this change subtly occurs, and the final result remains unchanged, only delayed."

"Hmm..."

Carl supported his chin with his hand:

"Though it has its rits, after taking the Desecration Potion, the body transforms toward the constitution of the Pale Wings, and strength rapidly progresses. If the will is strong, one might quickly beco a Holy Knight."

"Yet, even if becoming a Holy Knight, one will completely lose reason, becoming the third generation of Desecration Knights."

The first two generations, at most, reached Late First Tier, while the third could break through to Second Tier.

"Interesting genetic engraving thod."

Raising his hand, Carl magnified the substance within the potion, his eyes gleaming:

"The Holy Hall must use this thod to control the Desecration Knights, making them work for them."

"I’ve never seen such a Magic Door..."

"No wonder the current Holy Hall accepts anyone; they’re not recruiting their own people but loyal enforcers!"
