Chapter 18: Bai Qiwei Showed Up to Save Them
Su Qianqian responded by casting a disgusting stare upon hearing what Bai Aoxue said. Her only hope was Bai Qiwei now.
Looking at Su Qianqian’s slow movents, Bai Aoxue knew she was attempting to buy ti and waiting for Bai Qiwei.
She said with a smile, “Auntie Su. Please don’t place the hope on my father. As I said just now, even my father is here, you still need to drink up the soup. Every drop of it. If I’m not happy, I will ask sister to walk a few more steps.”
“Drink it, mom. Co on! I don’t want to die!” Bai Suxue yelled at her mother anxiously.
Su Qianqian was devastated. Tears flew down her beautiful face, which was now a ss of tears and traces of the bird’s nest soup.
Bai Aoxue had no pity on Su Qianqian’s tears.
She couldn’t pay for what she did before even she cried for thousands of tis. This was rely a warning!
“What’s wrong? Can you make an explanation to ? Who is making such a ss?” A man’s angry voice arose from behind of Bai Aoxue.
Bai Aoxue slightly puckered up the lips upon hearing the voice. “He shows up at the right ti,” she thought.
“Father! Father! Save my mom. The bitch killed my mom’s bodyguard. She is forcing my mom to drink all the bird’s nest soup. She sprayed poisonous vapor around in my mom’s courtyard, and threatened that if anybody walked for ten steps inside the courtyard, they would die a horrible death. Father! I don’t want to die! Punish her!” When Bai Suxue saw Bai Qiwei showed up, the ferocious expression quickly vanished from her face. She looked at Bai Qiwei in tears.
Bai Qiwei followed the direction pointed out by Bai Suxue. He saw two bodies lying on the ground: one had the head cut off and the other was rotting in the skin. Su Qianqian sat in a tranced state on the ground, taking a bowl of bird’s nest soup.
“Here you co, master. I’m dying! Save ! Please!” Su Qianqian cried loudly when she saw Bai Qiwei.
When he saw the ss in the courtyard, Bai Qiwei thought at first this might be left by an assassination attempt. But upon seeing Bai Aoxue who was standing in the courtyard against the wind, he chased away the foolish idea.
“Wild girl! See what you have done! Give the antidote, or I will punish you!” Bai Qiwei said to his first daughter, assuming a stern expression.
Bai Aoxue looked at Bai Qiwei who acted like the boss of the family and said, “Antidote? I have no antidote! I have no poisonous drugs. How can I have the antidote? Please don’t make a false accusation, father!”
The other people were amazed since they clearly saw the bodyguard was dead imdiately after he walked for ten steps.
And now she said she didn’t have the poison, which made people more suspicious.
As a response to the puzzled eyesight around, Bai Aoxue raised the brow and said in a mocking tone: “If I sprayed the poison, how can father still be with now? As you see, father has walked for more than ten steps in the courtyard.”
After hearing what Bai Aoxue said, Bai Qiwei realized he was nearly dead. He looked at Bai Aoxue with a surprised expression.
But he didn’t think he would be overpowered by the once cowardly girl.
So servants who were bold enough slightly moved the body and walked for several steps. They were fine after a few steps which made them believe in Bai Aoxue completely.
But they wouldn’t dare to ss with Bai Aoxue anymore. Bai Aoxue killed that guard without anyone noticed after all.
Seeing the servants were fine, Bai Suxue rushed to Bai Qiwei and yelled, “Co on. Father! Tell them to arrest Bai Aoxue! See what she had done to my mom!”
“Free your auntie! Since this is your first stupid act, I will te out a slight punishnt to you!” Bai Qiwei said with a stern expression characteristic of the pri minister.
Looking at her father’s seemingly justified manner, Bai Aoxue blurted out, “Humph! Don’t forget this is not the official court. I’m not a criminal.”
“As I said, if Auntie Su doesn’t finish off all the bird’s nest soup, she will not have her freedom. Nobody can force to let her go!”
The cold and resolute voice again amazed all people in the courtyard.
Bai Qiwei never expected that the cowardly daughter would rebut him one day.
He was more furious that he couldn’t even catch his breath, but scarcely before he opened the mouth to speak, Bai Aoxue said with a cold expression:
“If Mr. Pri Minister were impartial, would you like to account for the pain inflicted on in these years? I live a live a life as humble as servants. But my sister, Bai Suxue, lives an extravagant life and is served by a myriad of maidservants!” She cast a cold stare at Bai Suxue.
“You didn’t care about my humiliations in these years. Today you would simply threaten to punish for asking my auntie to drink the bird’s nest soup. Do you think I would be easily humiliated ever since? If you are a responsible father, please stand aside, or you will have troubles.” Bai Aoxue was much more disappointed at Bai Qiwei.
As a father who only listened to one side of the story and threatened to punish his daughter, Bai Aoxue wouldn’t have nostalgia for him anymore. Since other people were ruthless, she should be too.
