Chapter 534: 501 ‘Don’t guard yourself and steal, okay?
Shane was quite satisfied that he had a natural hot spring all to himself.
Sadly, he didn’t have Tielle by his side to enjoy the pleasure of a leisurely bath.
Thinking of that proactive and decisive girl, Shane felt a pang of nostalgia and longing.
“Ah well, it’s only been half a month.”
With that thought, Shane shifted his focus and turned to look at Carol next to him.
“What? Is there a problem?”
Noticing Shane’s gaze, Carol imdiately asked.
In response, Shane only said one thing.
“It’s not who has a problem, it’s you.”
Shane had a grin on his face.
“???” Carol was montarily confused and frowned, “What problem could I possibly have?”
“You don’t have a problem?” Shane nodded knowingly and then changed his tone, “Since you don’t have a problem, why are you still here? Want to watch undress?”
“You…!” Carol’s face flushed with anger, unable to maintain her stern composure, glaring fiercely at Shane.
But she didn’t say anything, just turned around and left.
Seeing this, Shane looked poised as if he had won sothing but then quickly spoke up.
“Wait, there won’t be anyone coming here, right?”
Shane needed to make sure of that.
“Are you worried?” Carol asked sarcastically, “Don’t worry, no one will co to peep at you.”
Do these Elf Clan folks really find such things so fascinating?
Who are they?
The Elves that value purity!
There’s no way Elves would want to sneak a peek at a man bathing!
But…
“Am I worried about soone peeking?” Shane retorted sarcastically, “I’m worried about you unreasonable won storming in here, taking advantage and then pretending to scream, drawing everyone here. And then you’ll throw dirt on saying I was being lecherous. Who would I reason with then?”
Carol was truly enraged by this remark.
But Shane wasn’t joking.
Such scenarios, produced by cliché-ridden novels, had happened countless tis—whether accidentally seeing a beautiful view or being seen enjoying a beautiful view, in the end, it was always the male protagonist who suffered.
Shane did not want to subject himself to those cheesy plots and be slandered in return.
Otherwise, as a man from an alien race amid the Elves, he would find himself unable to clear his na even if he jumped into the Yellow River.
With his temper, if things turned that way, he wouldn’t be like those pathetic male protagonists who get targeted yet dare not fight back. They pretended not to bully or hit won, but that wasn’t just lacking assertiveness; it was plain stupid.
If it were him facing such a situation, well, sorry, but everyone is getting rounded up first and then talked to, after a beating.
Only by putting them in their place would he have the right to speak. Otherwise, what would you expect from a bunch of angry won?
Give it up.
“Anyway, I’ve said my piece. If soone barges in later and causes a ruckus, I won’t be polite,” Shane warned with a grin, “We haven’t finished our fight today.”
Carol glared at Shane, her gaze was almost biting.
A while later, Carol finally gritted her teeth and said,
“Only Her Majesty usually cos here, and sotis Leiya and Nia accompany Her Majesty too, but during the Festival of Peace, they won’t co.”
After all, bringing Shane here for this bath was Sophie’s instruction.
In such a scenario, naturally, neither Sophie nor those two Legendary level Garrison Commanders would co.
“I’ll wait for you outside, can you rest easy now?”
Carol dropped this remark, then turned her head as if she no longer wanted to speak to Shane and walked away.
Until…
“Waiting outside is fine, but don’t help yourself, okay?”
A light remark caused Carol’s step to falter, nearly making her trip.
Finally, with an angry stride, Carol stord off.
What Carol failed to notice was that, at that mont, Shane’s face bore a triumphant grin.
“To think you can act sulky in front of , let’s see if I don’t frustrate you to death.”
Obviously, Shane had deliberately said those provoking words.
…
“Ah~~~ Comfortable~~~”
Along with an incredibly satisfying and slightly tingling voice, a figure soaked into the natural hot spring.
“This hot spring is sothing special, not simple at all.”
As Shane comfortably bathed, he looked aningfully at the hot spring.
If soone skilled in “Magic Perception” were here, they would realize, in fact, this natural hot spring was always emitting heat and moisture, as well as dense magic power.
Shane had noticed this situation as soon as he arrived here and instantly understood.
“This isn’t a hot spring at all? It’s clearly a Magic Power Source!”
Yes, this wasn’t just any hot spring, but a natural Magic Power Source.
The hot water of this Magic Power Source was all condensed and ford by the magic power of nature, not ordinary spring water.
With the perception of “Outer Destiny,” Shane saw through many things.
“This Magic Power Source seems to be expanding, presumably due to absorbing special magic powers from the deepest parts of Taiger Forest, thus going through so changes and taking on the form similar to a hot spring.”
Magic Power Sources are sorted by size and level, ranging from small, to dium, to large. Depending on their size and level, the quality of water in the Magic Power Sources also varies.
This hot spring type Magic Power Source was originally a small one. After countless years, it expanded towards becoming a dium-sized Magic Power Source, but due to the special magic here, it didn’t develop into a dium one but rather transford into this hot spring type.
“That special magic ought to be the reason for the birth of the Elf Clan from the nature here, right?”
Shane used “Outer Destiny” to sense his surroundings.
Generally, magic power is converted from life force, and the natural magic power is also the sa—transforming naturally from the life force flowing out from the largest entity known as ‘the world’.
Thus, magic power is closely related to life force—once the life force faces issues, magic power will also be affected and vice versa.
This leads to all magic containing a rich essence of life, only that it isn’t as pure as life force anymore.
Yet, Shane discovered that the natural magic power of the Elf Country, contained life essence not only as pure as life force but also with a special rhythmic pulse.
If normal magic power flows like air currents and rivers, the magic here pulsated regularly like a beating heart while it flowed.
That feeling, it wasn’t rely like the flow of air or rivers—it was more like blood flowing within blood vessels, utterly unique.
It’s because of this special magic that elves were born naturally, becoming a form of natural life.
So too did this hot spring type Magic Power Source, which, under constant absorption of the local magic, underwent strange changes.
“If you regularly soak in such a hot spring, it would surely activate and accelerate the growth of the magic power within one’s body, and even feed back to the life force, causing one to live longer, or even heal so severe injuries.”
Shane beca reflective.
“This is much more precious than any ordinary Magic Power Source.”
Shane was certain, if such a Magic Power Source were to appear in the outside world, it would absolutely provoke a scramble among countless powers and even nations.
For such an endlessly beneficial and special Magic Power Source, many nations would not hesitate to wage war to seize this land.
Its value was limitless, a true priceless treasure.
“No wonder even the Elf Royal Family cos here.”
Shane turned his head and looked to the side.
There, several unicorns were hanging their heads, deeply drinking the spring water.
These unicorns’ levels were not low at all, the lowest among them was at Level 84, and there were others at Level 88 and 89, only a step away from reaching the Legendary level.
For these unicorns, continually drinking this water must have been a great aid.
“People usually only see the Elf Clan having the strongest Mage Corps, little do they know, the monsters and fantastical creatures they manage, also drinking this water year-round, are equally high in level.”
Shane smirked, he could entirely imagine, within Elf Country, aside from the Elf Corps, there was also a high-level Monster Army in no way inferior to the forr.
The Elf Clan might have a small population, but they not only live long but also coexist peacefully with so many high-level monsters, even managing them.
Shane had reasons to believe, when necessary, the Elf Clan could surely command this high-level Monster Army.
At that ti, with powerful monsters charging in front, and their unmatched magic supporting from behind, their displayed combat power would definitely not be inferior to any other race among humans.
Note, it’s races, not nations.
Even if it was just the strength of one nation, whether it be Mitra Kingdom or Ragna Empire, facing the Elf Clan, Shane felt they definitely wouldn’t have an upper hand.
Of course…
“However powerful a force, in the eyes of those who’ve surpassed the Life Limit and achieved Transcendence, they’re no different from ants.”
Shane was clearly aware of the vast difference between beings that had achieved Transcendence and those who hadn’t.
“Without a Transcendent presence, even a powerful race like the Elf Clan must still dread Ai Yi and Lilith.”
Shane saw this point clearly.
At that mont…
“Ai Yi…?”
A very faint voice reached Shane’s ears.
