Chapter 449: 439, an existence that must not be offended

“————”

Silence suddenly spread among everyone.

All who heard Ai Yi’s declaration were shaken by her words.

No one would have imagined that one day, a Demon would stand up and openly declare she would protect a Human.

That was a Demon, the apex of the Demon Clan, possessing imnse power, an existence even the Three Great Goddesses dared not underestimate.

By their own strength alone, they could stand up against the might of an entire kingdom.

For them to destroy a kingdom was but a trivial matter.

Moreover, with the entire Demon Clan behind them, if they were to step forward to protect an individual, then even the Divine Race and the entire Human Race would be helpless, right?

But how did Shane manage to accomplish this?

How could he possibly convince a Demon to go to such lengths for him?

Throughout history, there have been many who’ve dealt with Demons, yet none have been protected by Demons like this.

Including the Heroes, as well as the Goddesses of the Divine Race.

Now, a young human, a noble of Adventurer origin, a re Viscount, had achieved all this.

This caused everyone, including Anxi, to feel as if they were lost in a dream, feeling like everything was too unreal.

Of course, they did not know there were two reasons Ai Yi would step forward so brazenly and openly.

One was that Shane’s actions this ti were very much to her liking.

In fact, Ai Yi had long felt that Shane should have acted this way.

In Ai Yi’s view, there was no such thing as power and privilege in this world; the only difference was between the strong and the weak.

If you were strong enough, then you could recklessly do anything you wanted, and all power and privilege would have to bow before you.

Conversely, if you were too weak, you didn’t need power or privilege; anyone could bully you, insult you, and no one would care about the human rights of a weakling.

And Shane was soone strong enough.

No, it should be said that all the previous Heroes were strong enough.

But those Heroes, each and every one of them, adhered to so inexplicable rules and regulations. At first glance, they seed revered by many and were the heroes of many people’s hearts, but in reality, they were nothing more than weapons utilized by the Divine Race, by the Human Race, used on the battlefield.

Among the Human Race they protected, were there no pests?

In the world they guarded, was everything really worth protecting?

They were the bearers of the Holy Sword, they were Heroes, they had such great power, yet it was as if they were bound by a “curse” called “saving the world” and “protecting everything”. They unilaterally deed the Demon Clan as evil and unilaterally considered war as brutality. By what right?

Ai Yi simply couldn’t stand it; people with power were actually losing their freedom, willingly being driven by others, being used by others; they thought that by donning the na of “Hero” they should sacrifice everything for these people, oblivious to the fact that behind them, countless were smirking, feeling thrilled that soone was standing up for them.

Like the forr Ragna Empire—once the Hero died, all those who had flattered him in life imdiately began to nibble away at what he left behind. If he were still alive to see this, would he still think they were worth protecting?

With this in mind, Ai Yi had always considered Heroes to be nothing more than powerful puppets; because of this, she had even killed two herself, without negotiation.

However, Shane was completely different.

He had no nonsensical sense of justice, each of his actions was dictated by his own will, his own thoughts.

He had no peculiar sense of principle, doing whatever he wished, completely unconcerned about others’ opinions.

He wouldn’t worship soone just because they were of the Divine Race, nor would he be cautious around soone just because they were of the Demon Clan.

Even towards her, a Demon, he would say whatever he wanted, do whatever he wanted, every move was so natural, so carefree, never concerned about race, position, alignnt, and other aningless things.

This Hero might be both righteous and evil, far too independent, but that was exactly what struck a chord with Ai Yi.

Shane felt to Ai Yi not like a puppet nad “Hero,” but like a “person” with a very strong assertion of self and personality, who while not overly flaunting his power, would also certainly not be stingy in using his power to fight for what he wanted.

This ti was no different, getting angry for those around him, exercising his power once and for all to make others wary, to avoid potential troubles in the future, and even if the opponents were of his own Human Race, he still would not spare them because of this; Shane’s actions were exactly what Ai Yi wanted to see.

In short, everything about Shane was exceedingly to Ai Yi’s liking, and in her eyes, so pleasing that’s why she took such a fancy to Shane, so much so that she even wanted to make him her own.

This was the second reason Ai Yi stepped forward so openly.

It was to announce to everyone that this Hero was hers.

Of course, there were others beside Ai Yi who were extrely fond of Shane, so fond they were willing to stick by his side and face the world as an enemy without care.

“Swish!”

At a certain mont, a figure from the Beizut Family streaked out and arrived by Shane’s side.

“Hmm!”

Evil Energy vibrated around them.

“Whoosh!”

Twelve wings unfurled behind them.

Just like that, the small Evil God appeared by Shane’s side, joining Ai Yi, guarding Shane from left and right. Only a pair of eyes like athyst crystals observed everyone present, sending a chill down everyone’s spine.

“She…who is she?”

Watching the little girl who had appeared so abruptly, shock filled everyone’s hearts.

That evil energy, that presence, was none less than Dragon Demon Ai Yi’s, making many people gasp in horror.

Anxi couldn’t help but his pupils shrank, and alarms blared in his mind.

He had a feeling that this tiny girl with twelve black wings was even more dangerous than Dragon Demon Ai Yi.

When had such a dangerous being started to appear around Shane?

Everyone’s breathing beca slightly hurried.

Moreover, with a black dragon glaring nacingly above Shane’s head and his own terrifying power that could summon teor showers, the assembled crowd was shocked to discover that, at this mont, they were in the presence of a force that could shake the entire Human Race.

Shane, as if he hadn’t seen everyone’s gazes or expressions, patted Lilith’s head, not looking at Anxi but scanning all those present.

“Do you know who the great young master of the Lucica Family was planning to deal with today?”

Shane seed to be talking to himself when he said these words.

“The person he was going to ss with today, though just a very ordinary elf, is soone valued by Nature Goddess Nudura and has always been under her watchful eye.”

At this revelation, everyone drew in a sharp breath once more.

“A person valued by the Nature Goddess…!?”

Anxi’s face went pale as well.

Even Jero’s eyes widened in disbelief at everything he was hearing.

“Eh? Eh?”

Only rica was there in a daze, panicked, completely unaware of the situation.

In such circumstances, Shane began to smile.

“Today, I was able to make a move and save rica in ti because the Nature Goddess had provided with a revelation, prompting to rush over and rescue her,” Shane said indifferently, “What would have happened today if I hadn’t intervened is sothing you can freely imagine.”

There was no need for Shane to elaborate; everyone present was already sweating bullets.

If things were truly as he said, then if sothing had happened to rica, the consequences would have been dire.

As mbers of the Human Race, they could disregard the threat of the Demon, but they could not ignore the sentints of their revered Goddess.

One could imagine that if the Nature Goddess were to pursue the matter, then not just the Lucica Family but the entire Mitra Kingdom would not escape bla.

“You may think I’m talking nonsense, or you may want to trouble over today’s events.”

Shane faced everyone with a fearless smile.

“Just rember, when that ti cos, I hope your families, your territories, and even your countries are strong enough to withstand my ‘Aurora teor Shower’.”

After that, Shane looked down at Jero.

“As for you…” Shane narrowed his eyes and said leisurely, “Unfortunately, there will be no one to accompany you to Hell.”

After leaving these words behind, Shane turned and went back into the Beizut residence.

Ai Yi followed without expression, as if Shane were the leader to follow.

And Lilith, without a need to say anything, held Shane’s hand and left directly, not giving those present another glance.

Finally, Vivian, Tielle, Lu Muya, and the bewildered rica all exchanged glances and swiftly followed Shane.

The scene was left with only Anxi and his group.

Anxi looked at Jero, whose face was increasingly devoid of life and filled with despair, with extrely complex eyes.

Not just Anxi, everyone else looked at each other in dismay before falling into silence.

Unnoticed by all, a carriage had arrived in the distance.

“…I never imagined he’d be so powerful, so formidable.”

Liya also watched the direction of the Beizut residence with a complex expression, then at the unattended body of Edel, her thoughts unknown to anyone.

Of course, Luoqi had also arrived.

From the rooftop of a building, Luoqi looked down at everything below, whispering with a breath of relief or perhaps a sigh.

“After this, those who dare to provoke him across the Three Realms might be few and far between.”

Thinking such thoughts, a smile appeared on Luoqi’s face, which then faded.

“To go to such lengths for another woman, truly a hopeless flirt.”

After mumbling to herself, Luoqi turned and left the place.

The events of this night had finally co to a close.

But, no one would forget this night.

Because, it was this very night that an existence one simply could not afford to offend entered the sights of the major powers.
