Chapter 448: 438 The person protected by the Dragon Demon
Unconsciously, the teors that fell from the sky began to diminish gradually until they completely disappeared.

Shane finally jumped down from the dragon’s head, floating to the ground like a feather, which made the magic power churning within him die down as well.

In the Noble District, except for a few sparse houses, only the Beizut Family remained intact.
Everywhere else had turned into rubble.

“Sh…Shane, Mr. Xi’en…?”

Shane just curled his lip.
“Don’t worry, I haven’t lost my mind enough to start a massacre in the Royal Capital,” Shane said with a wry smile. “The magic I just cast was at its lowest power, limited to the Noble District, where I spread the force out. Plus, I deliberately avoided any location with a magic response, and I gave enough ti for people to escape. There shouldn’t be any innocent casualties.”
Of course…
“Innocent fatalities were avoided, but the guilty kind is another matter.”
The sardonic tone of Shane’s words was not lost on the mbers of Vivian’s Team.
Ahead, in the cratered ruins of the plaza, the Knights and guards of the Lucica Family were scattered on the ground.
So were buried under dust.
So were stuck deep in craters.

Jero opened his bloodstained eyes to see Shane.
In his eyes, there was no longer the anger and hatred from before, only fear remained.
“It’s you…” Jero spoke in a dying breath, “the one who… destroyed Galuo Li… it’s…you…?”
Jero finally realized the truth.
“I don’t think I’ve ever said it wasn’t , right?” Shane shrugged and said, “It’s just that you self-righteous nobles thought I couldn’t do it, that’s why you didn’t believe it was , isn’t that right?”
Now, Jero understood.
This ti, he had truly provoked soone he shouldn’t have.
“Why…why…?” Jero struggled to speak, “Why must you… eradicate the Lucicas…?”
Edel was rcilessly killed by Shane.
Almost all of the Knights he brought had fallen.

However, his questions and doubts sounded utterly ridiculous in Shane’s ears.
“You’re actually asking why?”
Shane couldn’t help but laugh as if he had heard the world’s biggest joke, yet his eyes were devoid of any mirth.

“Do they deserve to be violated and utterly destroyed?”
“And you, knowing full well about these deeds, why do you have the face to co ask why, and why can you still so righteously co here, pompously surround my house, demanding that I turn soone over?”
Shane stretched out his foot, stepping on Jero’s chest.
“How’s that? Are you the only ones allowed to bully others, but others can’t bully you?”
“If you’re not the least bit self-aware, then let tell you, if it weren’t for the fact that you’re a Duke, and your Lucica Family is so-called Duke’s family, then, based on what your son has done, and your shielding of him, you would have died over ten thousand tis already.”
“But the reason you haven’t died before isn’t because you don’t deserve to die, it’s just that the person who can ignore your power, who isn’t threatened by you, and yet has the ability to kill you, simply hasn’t appeared until now.”

Shane then used the most direct, most domineering, and simplest way to tell Jero why they had fallen to this point.

“The Lucica Family accepts bribes, and you’re the first in line.”

Jero was resigned to his fate, in despair, yet he did not forget to drag Shane down to Hell with him.

The surrounding Nobles and civilians alike changed their expressions, so bowing and others kneeling to welco Anxi.
Anxi looked at the ruins all around, then at Jero who was under Shane’s foot, his face full of bitterness.
“Lady Ai Yi…”
Anxi opened his mouth, only to find he couldn’t say a word.
Especially when looking into Shane’s eyes, it was complexity beyond words.
Anxi had truly not expected Shane to be so bold, not only to have beaten a Duke’s family into such a state, but also to have destroyed the entire Noble District.
Such a defiant act, Anxi could hardly believe Shane had really done it.
And Ai Yi had stood up for Shane too.
