The next day, early morning.

Shane completed his grooming and dressing with Lasha's assistance and joined everyone for breakfast in the dining room before heading to the Royal Palace.

He arrived at the grand and solemn palace situated deep within the Royal Palace.

This palace was completed just over a month ago.

The palace has no na, yet it serves as a temporary temple for the goddesses of the Divine Race to reside in.

Yesterday, Shane and Iris were received here by Lidas and Anima to discuss matters concerning the two awakened Heroes.

Today, Shane ca again.

Unlike usual, he didn't go straight to Luoqi's chamber but ca here to report to the two divine practitioners at the gate, informing them of his desire to see Lidas and Anima.

Upon arriving here, not even the King would proceed without first informing the gatekeepers, gaining permission to enter within and et with the goddesses willing to receive them.

Although Shane could have used Instant Movent to enter directly, those two goddesses probably wouldn't mind, but in the presence of Lidas, the Goddess of Fate, and Anima, the Goddess of Life, so formalities were unavoidable.

If it were anyone else wanting to see two of the Three Great Goddesses, it would definitely be difficult to obtain permission.

Even the King, without sufficient reason or special circumstances, would find it tough to be received by the Three Great Goddesses.

But once Shane reported his arrival, the divine practitioners at the gate quickly stepped aside and respectfully welcod Shane inside.

Evidently, being a Hero and a Blessing of the Supre God, Shane found it easy to request an audience with the goddesses, even the Three Great Goddesses.

In the entire Kingdom, fewer than five people could enjoy such privileges.

Moreover, these people wouldn't be any country's king or any race's leader; only those blessed by the Three Great Goddesses would have such status.

Naly, in the Human Realm, currently, only Luoqi, Iris, rica, and Shane, as the Hero and Blessing of the Supre God, have this qualification.

As for Tielle, Lidas seed to have t her several tis recently and was pleased with her growth, but Tielle herself did not intend to go public about being Lidas' Blessing, and Lidas chose to respect her thoughts, so Tielle hasn't been here yet, and the divine practitioners and goddesses in charge here are unaware of her existence as the Blessing of the Goddess of Fate, thus not granting her any privileges.

So, Shane easily passed through multiple checkpoints and reached the top layer of this temporary temple—the Divine Hall.

This is where Lidas and Anima typically reside, and it's also the place where the two goddesses receive others.

As Shane arrived, the two goddesses were gathered around a table, discussing sothing.

"What brings you here?"

Upon noticing Shane coming in from outside, Lidas turned her head first, showing a surprised expression.

"Welco."

Anima, on the other hand, bowed her head to welco Shane with a gentle expression on her face.

Shane walked in, eting the gazes of the two goddesses.

"Are you still talking about the Dwarf Clan?"

Shane glanced at the two goddesses and curiously asked.

The two goddesses did not hide and simply nodded their heads.

"The Beastman Race has returned, and the Dwarf Clan's problem needs to be resolved as well."

"Nadura is probably anxious too, since the Dwarf Clan falls under her jurisdiction over Humans."

Lidas and Anima spoke consecutively.

"So have you co to any conclusions?"

Shane nonchalantly asked, seeming indifferent to the matter and inquiring casually.

Lidas and Anima could naturally see Shane's indifference to the issue, leading one to feel puffed up with annoyance and the other to smile bitterly.

"As part of the Human Race, can't you show so concern for the Dwarf Clan's matters?"

Lidas expressed so dissatisfaction.

For this goddess overflowing with a sense of duty and mission, the Dwarf Clan likely needed to be reclaid urgently?

Perhaps she thought of liberating the Dwarf Clan and rescuing innocent civilians from Natsu's rule as soon as possible.

If not for these considerations, this goddess would have already made a grand appearance in the Dwarf Kingdom.

Unfortunately...

"I'm afraid I just have no interest in this," Shane candidly replied, "I'm just an ordinary person, unlike you benevolent goddesses who, even in dire tis, think about saving this and that every day."

If it were soone close to him or soone he knew, it would be different, but to work hard for a group of people he has no relation to—Shane truly lacks enthusiasm.

"You..."

Lidas puffed up with more frustration, as if facing a disobedient child she was ready to educate, but Shane silenced her.

"Don't try to force your perspective on . I'm different from past Heroes, without so much heroism, you know?"

Shane calmly covered Lidas' mouth with his hand.

"Mmm mmm mmm!"

Lidas protested, struggling but only able to make muffled sounds.

Anima, however, seed quite open-minded and did not intend to force Shane at all.

"You aren't our Blessing, but a being blessed by the Mother Goddess. To us, you aren't rely an ally but soone the Mother Goddess values, so no matter what you do, we won't force you. We are already very happy that you chose to fight alongside us."

Anima showed a warm smile towards Shane, exuding an ample sense of acceptance and maternal warmth.

"See that?" Shane felt quite pleased and thus spoke to the goddess caught in his embrace, "Learn well, alright?"

"Mmm mmm mmm!" Lidas imdiately struggled even harder.

Anima watched from the side, smiling wryly as she cast her gaze on Shane.

"Did you co to find us for sothing?"

Anima ntioned the matter at hand.

Only then did Shane release Lidas, who was about to bite him, and sat down in front of the two Goddesses.

The next second, Shane asked the two Goddesses the questions he wanted to ask.

Instantly, Lidas and Anima were slightly taken aback.

"You want to know what kind of person the Demon King is...?"

"This..."

Lidas and Anima were a bit surprised.

It was clear they didn't know why Shane suddenly brought up such an abrupt question.

"Well, just consider curious."

Shane didn't explain much, brushing it off.

This led Lidas and Anima to exchange glances.

"This question is indeed sudden."

Anima spoke with a feeling.

"Why are you suddenly interested in matters concerning the Demon King?"

Lidas was also sowhat puzzled.

"Just asking." Shane still didn't explain, simply urged: "You both have seen the Demon King, right?"

To this question, Lidas and Anima neither confird nor denied.

They both showed thoughtful expressions, then relaxed.

"If you're really interested, we can tell you."

Lidas seed not very enthusiastic.

"Well, just think of it as taking a break."

Anima remained considerate.

From these two Goddesses' attitudes, it was clear they weren't very concerned with the Demon King's matters.

To them, the Demon King was already history; the current matter of the new-born Primordial Demon was more important.

Of course, even if they weren't that concerned with the Demon King, ntioning the Demon King would subconsciously make them serious.

Lidas said so first.

"Let make it clear, we don't understand the Demon King as much as you might imagine."

Lidas opened with this statent.

"Is that so?"

Shane tilted his head.

"That's right." Anima picked up from Lidas, saying: "Although we are the earliest born of the Divine Race, much earlier than the Six Great Demons, we've seen the Demon King very few tis."

"It's inevitable, isn't it?" Lidas nonchalantly said: "Who could bla the Demon King for rarely coming to the battlefield?"

This statent made Shane slightly stunned.

"The Demon King rarely cos to the battlefield?"

Shane was surprised by this.

"Yes." Anima confird Shane's query, saying: "Despite being the one who started the war, the Demon King can be said to completely ignore matters on the battlefield, leaving all decisions in the war to the Moon Demon, staying in the castle herself, even when the Demon Clan sotis gets pushed by us until the front line collapses, she doesn't intervene even once."

Lidas then picked up Anima's words.

"It's not just not intervening." Lidas said, pouting: "She doesn't even say a word, even if she appears, her gaze only settles on the Hero, as if she only has expectations for him alone. Perhaps she doesn't regard anyone else at all."

Lidas and Anima exchanged their views on the Demon King and told Shane.

Despite their different tones and attitudes, their views on the Demon King had one very similar aspect, which was feeling mysterious, feeling incredible.

Lidas even said this.

"I always felt that person is profoundly unfathomable, in so ways even more enigmatic than the Mother Goddess."

Lidas seed to have dug up all her past feelings about the Demon King, speaking repeatedly.

"The Mother Goddess once said, in the absence of a Hero, even if relying solely on the Demon King, she is enough to annihilate the entire Divine Race, even the Mother Goddess estimated she could only find a chance to escape, was not able to defeat her. Yet, as the initiator of the war, she never strikes at the Divine Race, only acts when the Hero challenges her, and remains in the castle during other tis, rarely stepping out."

"And whenever a Hero fails in challenging her, dies in her hands, she does not take the opportunity to attack the Divine Race and Human Race, returning directly to her castle, until several hundred years later, when a new Hero is summoned, she shows so movents."

"According to the Mother Goddess, that person's power could easily destroy the entire world, kill all life, yet she just doesn't intervene, stubbornly prolongs the war."

"Sotis we wonder if she is entirely using the God and Demon Clans' war to entertain herself, pass ti, treating the war as a ga, but if that's the case, her completely disregarding the battlefield's progress and only targeting the Hero's approach is too peculiar."

"Therefore, that person is a highly mysterious, astounding, and ultimately incomprehensible being to us."

Lidas expressed her feelings one by one, showing a truly perplexed expression as she spoke.

"I feel the sa way." Anima nodded in agreent, as if recalling and trembling, said: "Seeing that person, I sotis feel as if I'm looking at a person who has no life, only instincts, rely thinking about it makes her seem incredible."

The impression the two Goddesses had of the Demon King was astonishingly consistent.
