[Vol. 5] Chapter 310: The God and the Origin

If there was any place that could temporarily escape disaster, it would likely be the ritual’s inner space, isolated by the unparalleled power of the [Three Saintesses] and the combined strength of the [Three Holy Artifacts of Light].

“Lady Philona, don’t get distracted.”

Within the resplendent, multicolored barrier, Philona, a girl with pinkish-golden hair, occasionally glanced elsewhere, causing the [Ring of Salvation] floating before her to flicker unsteadily. Noticing this, Yuna, who was also maintaining the power transmission of the [Crownless Crown], sternly reminded her.

“But Lady Yuna… outside…”

“It’s a divine realm, the absolute domain said to be wielded only by gods themselves. The true power of [Slaughter] has begun to manifest. Unless another god’s domain opposes it…”

Frederica’s face was equally solemn. While she maintained the stable glow of the [Judgnt Holy Sword] in front of her, she did not waver like the inexperienced Redemption Saintess. Instead, she gently urged Philona to stay focused.

“Calm down, Lady Philona. In the presence of a true god, rushing out now would be aningless. Our only chance is to activate the ‘Holy Ceremony’ as quickly as possible.”

“I… I understand… but judging by the current situation, by the ti the ritual is activated, the outside will probably already be…”

“Even so, there is no other—”

But at that mont, the massive, majestic tree at the heart of the vast forest, suddenly erupted with boundless divinity and magnificent brilliance!

A dense green light radiated outward, rippling from above the ritual site where the Three Saintesses stood.

“Huh?”

In Philona’s startled gasp, she, Frederica, and Yuna instinctively raised their heads, their faces filled with astonishnt.

A gentle yet supre will spread throughout the blood-soaked world, carried by the radiant green light.

[Sluthel, your divine realm remains as cruel and maddening as ever. In the na of life, let the slaughter end here.]

“That is…!”

A soft glow swept across the sky and earth, lting away the blades of slaughter hanging ominously over all living beings like ice under the sun. An angel known as [Wing] suddenly broke free from the battlefield, soaring high into the air. She gazed at the grand tree in the heart of the forest, now transford into a vibrant erald radiating waves of life. Trembling, she covered her cherry lips, her clear, beautiful eyes brimming with tears.

“It’s real… It truly is you! Lady Seth, the Goddess of Earth, protector of all life on earth, the creator of us angels… Have you returned to us once again?”

“Lady Minerva, I… I did not fail your instructions. At long last, I’ve waited for this day…”

Similar scenes unfolded across the vast expanse of the two major provinces.

The lost na of a god and the long-forgotten miracle of life, dormant for a thousand years, finally reappeared upon the land as the divine battle and the Divine Tree took root. The dark clouds of bloodshed and slaughter were dispelled, saving countless life blooms on the brink of withering.

Even though few among the masses were true believers in the Goddess of Life, the gratitude brought by her miracles and salvation nonetheless flowed back into her power, strengthening the Divine Tree. Its lush greenery isolated the power of the God of Slaughter from the mortal realm.

Far above the distant skies:

[Hmph… Seth, still as persistent as ever. But you are no longer one of the Main Gods, while I have taken another step closer to the final threshold. Do you think that you and this white dragon can stop ?]

The voice had barely faded—

“Boom!!!”

An earth-shattering blood blade descended, striking directly at God of Slaughter’s head!

The divine body of Sluthel, forged from blood, suddenly exploded into a cloud of crimson mist. Yet, instead of weakening, his aura surged wildly, growing exponentially. Expanding, inflating, and amplifying without limit, he ultimately transford into a colossal giant of blood, towering millions of ters tall, blotting out the sun and sky.

The giant seed to be modeled after the form of the God of Slaughter, though unlike the latter, it possessed only two arms instead of six. Raising its hands high, the boundless blood of the skies coalesced into a grand, colossal sword, a true blade of slaughter capable of cleaving worlds and splitting the heavens!

Its will reverberated through the blood-drenched world like thunder.

[Those who stand in my way—]

[DIE!!!!]

“This is certainly a novel approach… Sluthel, should I call you a genius or a madman?”

Erald light gathered beside the dragon girl, forming the figure of the Goddess of Life. Sethlin gazed at the towering God of Slaughter, who blotted out the sky, and sighed with a hint of helplessness.

“A god born of millennia of mortal bloodshed and refined laws… To overco the inherent inferiority of a conceptual deity compared to a true god, you condensed your divine realm into an unparalleled divine weapon, sacrificing, or at least weakening, the omnipotence of a deity for the sake of absolute individual power…”

“Though your level remains that of a high ranking god, the strength you’re demonstrating with this thod may already rival that of a Main God. If you achieve the final breakthrough, it will indeed beco troubleso.”

The dragon girl cast a sidelong glance at the green-haired goddess beside her, her expression full of disdain.

“Why are you here? Afraid I can’t handle this guy? Just go save your precious descendants.”

“Heh, it was Violet who was worried about you and specifically asked to back you up. What’s the—”

[BOOM!!!!!!!]

No ti for pre-battle banter was given. The blood-colored greatsword slashed down with overwhelming force, cutting off Sethlin’s words.

The two won simultaneously dodged to the sides, avoiding the terrifying sword whose sheer range of impact spanned hundreds of ters. Almost instinctively, they both glanced back.

The aftermath of that single strike from the blade, ford from the divine realm itself, tore through the sky, leaving a gaping void that resembled a chasm. It wasn’t rely a crack but true nothingness. Avoid so deep it seed as though the very fabric of this world could no longer withstand the near-Main God-level assault. Large-scale spatial collapse and fragntation had already begun to occur.

“Even after causing such destruction, there hasn’t been any real interference… Looks like Violet was right after all. The so-called [Will of the World] can’t exert much physical influence on the inside, huh?”

“Enough with the useless chatter. Just stand by quietly and watch.”

Shooting a glare at the goddess, who wore a wry smile, Xiao Guang firmly emphasized.

“Don’t intervene!”

[ROAR!!!!!!]

Amid the deafening dragon roar, the golden-haired girl leaped into the air. In an instant, she transford into her majestic true form, a graceful dragon over a hundred ters long, and unleashed a vast, white-hot breath toward the incoming blade of slaughter!

[Not enough! Is this all you’ve got, dragon?!]

[BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!!!!!!!]

The colossal sword and the dragon’s breath collided midair with an earth-shaking impact. However, this ti, the dragon’s usually unstoppable breath was gradually cut through by the blade of slaughter.

Though slow, the blade continued its advance, splitting the dragon’s breath in two amid thunderous roars and crackling energy, as if the imnse will of slaughter was inexorably overpowering it.

Even so, Xiao Guang’s crimson-gold slitted eyes remained calm, showing not the slightest trace of panic. While continuing to breathe her incandescent attack, she glanced toward the shadowy figure of the goddess behind her.

Sethlin, of course, understood this was not a plea for help. She could only smile wryly again and nod.

“Fine, fine. Do what you must. I’ll handle the shockwaves.”

The dragon girl swayed her head slightly, her gaze clearly conveying sothing along the lines of “At least you know your place.” The air around her began to resonate with the low, reverberating hum of [Dragon Language].

[This form, the sovereign of the skies.]

[This form, the conqueror of the earth.]

[This form commands all light, shattering the cycles of eternal darkness and the prison of shadows.]

[With this form as the dium.]

[O stars more distant than the skies.]

[O cosmos deeper than the earth.]

[Break free from your shackles, roar, surge, crush, and spread your vast wings! Shatter the skies, and reduce the earth to nothingness.]

[In the na of Xiao Guang, the Holy Crystal Dragon, I command you to descend!]

Under the shroud of a dark sky, impervious even to the blood-red light, the colossal forms of nine-headed dragons tore through the heavens. Majestic and overwhelming, they carried emotions of pride, rage, indifference, and wisdom. With wings unfurled, they unleashed a prival roar toward the god of blood!

[Dragon Speech Forbidden Spell: Nine Infernal Dragons!]

As Xiao Guang’s breath ceased, the thousand-ter-long dragon forms took her place, their imnse presence standing in front of the white dragon like guardians shielding a child. With unyielding determination, they charged headlong into the blood blade descending from the sky!

[KILL!!!!!!!!]

[ROAR!!!!!!!!]

But just as the clash was about to erupt, an indescribable force, as if freezing ti and space to their origins, suddenly radiated from the distant land.

Everything, montarily, ca to a halt.

The blood-red giant and the nine-headed dragon halted their movents in mid-air.

Only the three god-like beings, Xiao Guang, Sethlin, and Sluthel, remained partially unaffected, their divine senses allowing them to discern the source of the phenonon. Their gazes instinctively turned toward a certain location within the forest below.

[So this is the trump card of this nation… Interesting. Hmph, then I shall watch for now.]

“Tch, how annoying. Couldn’t they wait a little longer to activate it?”

“Hehe, looks like I won’t need to lift a finger after all.”

In the next mont, an enigmatic and boundless primordial force enveloped the world.
