[Vol. 5] Chapter 309: The Land of Slaughter, The Blade Above the Abyss

In the distant blood-red horizon, far beyond the reach of anything mortal, two figures are engaged in the most primal and intense battle at a speed beyond the comprehension of the human eye.

One of them is a dragon-girl with platinum-colored, long, elegant wings sprouting from her back. Behind her, a powerful dragon’s tail trails, and atop her head are magnificent golden horns, unlike those of any beastman or demon.

Her dragon claws and tail are covered in smooth platinum-colored scales, each one as flawless and beautiful as if sculpted from crystal.

Every ti her claws slash through the air, they create large, black explosive cracks and an indescribable tearing sound, as if the very space itself cannot withstand the terrifying force of the rending, on the verge of collapsing and turning into nothingness at any mont.

Her opponent, on the other hand, presents a bizarre and grotesque form.

Completely wrapped in blood-red armor, the figure has six arms extending from either side of its body, each arm bearing no hands but instead manifesting different weapon forms, as though it were born purely for conflict and battle, an embodint of slaughter itself.

Behind Him, there trailed a blood-red tail as long as the Dragon girl’s, but it was not as round and glossy as hers. Instead, it was a single-edged, razor-sharp killing tool as terrifying as a at cleaver.

Six different forms of demonic weapons spin like giant wheels, and each ti they clash with the dragon claws in the air, the surrounding blood-red sky erupts with thunderous roars, as if struck by lightning. The violent power of their collision stirs the dense magical energy, which swirls into hurricanes and vortices, spreading in all directions!

Yet, amidst the chaotic storm, the two combatants remain locked in combat, their bodies bathed in an energy whirlwind that could instantly obliterate any powerful being who dared to touch it unprepared, yet they continue to face each other and fight with reckless abandon!

[Kill!!! Kill!!! Kill!!!!!]

The will to slaughter roars, and the six demonic weapons simultaneously tear through the air, clashing head-on with the dragon-girl’s intertwined claws. The strike is without finesse but evenly matched.

The dazzling golden vertical pupils and the blood-red eyes beneath the armor spark like embers in the air, while their executioner-like tails lash out together, eting in a fierce exchange of blows, clashing over a dozen tis in rapid succession!

These two beings are towering existences, capable of turning everything around them into divine weapons.

[Boom!!!!!]

The two forces, having been charged to their limits, erupted with a deafening roar, propelling the dragon-girl and the blood-colored god backward like cannonballs. They both spread their wings and redirected their energy, dissipating the trendous impact that could have sent a mortal flying thousands of kiloters in an instant.

[Hahahahaha!!! Delightful!!!!!]

Sluthel’s six arms and six blades moved subtly in the air, and the blood-colored energy spread out, filling in the barely noticeable dents left by the repeated clashes with the dragon claws.

It looked at the golden-haired girl, whose body remained completely unhard, and could not help but express sincere admiration.

[White Dragon, your body is formidable, the most powerful I’ve seen in my life. Perhaps only one of the Main Gods known as the ‘God of Combat’ from thousands of years ago could reach this level.]

[You are not a White Dragon. Your bloodline is mixed with two forces, but even that is not enough for one who has neither a divine kingdom nor divinity to achieve such an extraordinary level of divine power and strength.]

[Tell , how did you accomplish this!]

Xiao Guang casually waved a claw, her battle intent still burning fiercely in her eyes, yet she did not imdiately strike again.

After all, the topic the opponent had just brought up was exactly what interested her most.

“Of course, it’s battle. Endless battle. Challenging every opponent that challenges , honing both my body and mind.”

[Battle… Battle…! What a battle! Hahahahahahaha!]

The crazed laughter of [Slaughter] echoed in the sky, like the clash of golden weapons and iron steeds, even the energy elents in the air were affected by this intense will, spreading visible waves of storm-like energy.

It spoke.

[Dragon, would you like to beco my mount? I have waged war for thousands of years, and you are the first mortal to earn my recognition. If you are willing to submit, I can spare you from the slaughter.]

[I, as one who will ultimately beco the Supre God, should have a partner of equal stature!]

However, the dragon-girl’s golden eyes narrowed slightly, emitting a truly dangerous chill.

“You… are seeking death!!”

Undeterred, Sluthel responded in a deep, resonant voice.

[Hmph, I can sense the contract you have with other being, but it is only natural for the treasures to belong to the strong. If your master truly has the power, they should co out and face themselves, not send you to fight in their place!]

[Dragon, even though I have not yet obtained the divine essence of this realm and surpassed my limits, do you really believe that your strength is enough to challenge the true God of Slaughter?]

“Enough with the talk! Are we still fighting or not?”

[I see… is that your answer? Then, prepare to face the true Blade of Slaughter!]

It spread its six arms and let out a long, thunderous howl to the sky.

[Annihilate all things!!! Strike the heavens! Destroy the earth!!!!]

“Boom!!!!!”

A massive blade descended from the infinitely distant sky.

It was the true Blade of Slaughter, like the legendary Damocles sword hanging over all things in myth. Controlled by the will of the divine, it was poised to bring destruction to anyone daring to defy it at any given mont.

It was the sword hanging above the world, sothing known as the [Divine realm].

As the sword fell, it shattered into countless blades of slaughter, descending upon every living being on the vast land beneath the God of Slaughter’s feet.

In the Primal Forest.

“Holy Light… Ahhhhhhhhhhh!!!!”

Before they could be shocked by the blood-red longswords that appeared above their companions’ heads, a certain Holy Knight, who had been desperately battling against the enhanced demons, suddenly let out an excruciating scream!

His body was as if being sliced and torn apart by so invisible blade, fragnting into countless blood clots.

As the scream abruptly stopped, his body, soul, and everything else turned into blood energy, rising into the sky as a sacrifice to the God of Slaughter high above.

“What… what is this!?”

“Defend! Quickly, defend!!!”

The strong reacted, using faith-based magic, now barely effective, or more straightforward light magic to form barriers. So even tried to treat the blood blade hovering above them as a kind of abnormal state, attempting to dispel it…

But no matter the thod, as soon as they touched the edge of that blade, it would imdiately fall, rcilessly slaying any creature that defied the divine power, transforming them into pure blood energy that ascended to the sky.

Only those who did nothing, trembling and remaining still, even refusing to fight back, could survive montarily under the blade’s deadly edge.

However, this was a battlefield rife with danger. If they dropped their defenses and resistance, what was the difference between them and those awaiting slaughter?

Thus, the line that had barely been held together began to collapse under the divine power.

Even the core battlefield leaders, like a certain gray-robed swordsman and his team mbers, or the three angel girls, saw the sa blood-red longsword appear above their heads.

Although their stronger strength allowed them to sense the principle behind the blood sword and avoid triggering it imdiately, it still greatly restricted their ability to act, forcing them to dodge left and right, not daring to counterattack.

With the ruthless intervention of divine power, the situation rapidly deteriorated.
