That's why Teacher Isaiah's evaluation of Rocky has always been either great wisdom appears foolish or foolish and ntally challenged.
If it's the forr, then it will be very troubleso to deal with, but if it's the latter, if such a soft persimmon isn't squeezed soon, it'll end up in the hands of others.
This is also one of the reasons Isaiah decided to act quickly; he didn't want to see Rocky die at soone else's hands first.
So, Mina has always been observing Rocky and would imdiately report to Teacher Isaiah if anything unusual is detected.
But looking at it now, Rocky indeed... doesn't seem very smart.
"Alright, let's not digress anymore." Rocky knocked on the table again, bringing the topic back on track, "So what we need to do now is to lure those two guys to the Naless Town?"
"To be exact, it's to lure them to the Naless Town during the Innocent Night," Mina corrected, "It's best not to do it ahead of ti since the teacher's preparations aren't complete, but we also can't miss the Innocent Night."
"You make it sound easy," Rocky said coldly, "but what exactly should we do? We can't just go up to them and say that we've set a trap waiting for them in the Naless Town, can we?"
"Calm down, Bishop Rocky," Fenris, who had been silent for a while, said with a smile, "As I ntioned, Miss Mina and I have discussed this overnight, and we have multiple plans to make them willingly go to the Naless Town."
"Then spill it out, why beat around the bush?" Rocky still had no patience, "Of course, if your plan is to have drive them there, then don't even bother speaking."
"Uh, the first plan actually involves that," Fenris quickly supplented before Rocky exploded, "But it's not for you to actually take action against them, just to make a show of it and push them in the right direction."
"What kind of push?"
"The simplest kind," Fenris said, "A citywide hunt."
Rocky furrowed his eyebrows again, but this ti he didn't speak imdiately and instead listened to Fenris continue.
"This town may belong to the ownerless Boundary Land, but it's quite close to territories of various churches, so reinforcent would be easy to secure," Fenris said, "To be honest, Bishop Rocky, while you were resting, Miss Mina and I separately requested support from our headquarters. Right now, more than half of the Star Relic Mages from the Naless Town have arrived here, and the Nightmare Followers from my Church have also arrived, and we've even contacted the Holy Sound's Last Perforr Ensemble, and they will arrive here tonight."
Holy Sound's Last Perforr Ensemble?
Rocky rembered them as the orchestra sent back from the Contract Land after Holy Sound had an incident, chasing after the Tongue to retrieve the complete Seven Notes and rebuild Holy Sound.
However, they chased all the way to Wildfire, losing more than half of their people, and still failed.
And now they've co again?
Not to ntion the Star Relic Mages, just the Nightmare Followers of the Eternal Nightmare and the last orchestra of Holy Sound, these were all who pursued the Tongue but failed.
Are they gathering together to form a group of the defeated?
"Do you think gathering these people together will be enough to deal with those two?" Rocky said, "Even I just barely managed a tie... can the others really?"
"Quantity can make up for the quality gap, and our real purpose isn't to kill them here, is it?" Fenris said with a smile, "We just need to drive them away, and as you said, the Seven-Tone Player is also quite wounded. They probably won't be interested in tangling with us here, and if they really try to hold on... Bishop Rocky, forgive my bluntness, they'll likely die here as well. You say their strength is not much different from yours, so do you have confidence to face all of us alone?"
Rocky remained silent.
There's no use arguing here; with the joint forces of Holy Sound, Eternal Nightmare, and Star Relic, even without counting the top combat prowess, it's very challenging for Rocky to win single-handedly.
If such a situation really arises, all he could do is run for it; the town is not that small, making it hard to encircle thoroughly, so if he finds a weak point...
Hmm?
Rocky realized sothing and asked, "You guys plan to encircle but actually leave an opening, letting them escape?"
Mina, with a look of "worthy of you," smiled and said, "That's indeed our plan, the escape route we've left for them leads straight to the Naless Town. This way, there's a high chance they'll go directly to the Naless Town and fall into the teacher's trap."
Rocky didn't feel pleased by Mina's praise; instead, he coldly said, "Just like that? Don't you think this plan is too simplistic, or is it even a plan? Why would they definitely run to the Naless Town?"
"Of course, there's more to it," Mina said with a smile, "This is just the push part; we also have the lure part."
"Lure?" Rocky asked, "How do you lure them?"
"Rember the goal of the Taboo Scholar?" Fenris asked.
"To use Visas's power to create an array that can block the Divine Oath Mark?"
"Yes." Fenris nodded, "The array needs a huge amount of Visas's power, which a severely wounded Seven-Tone Player definitely can't produce imdiately, so Edwin will surely look for new Visas Corpse Blocks."
Upon hearing about new Visas Corpse Blocks, Rocky imdiately grew alert: "Wait, are there Visas's Corpse Blocks in the Naless Town?"
"Of course," Fenris laughed, "There's no place with more than the Naless Town."
Rocky was stunned.
What the hell, does the Naless Town actually have Visas's Corpse Blocks, and even more of them?!
How is it possible, isn't that place just...
Hmm?
He realized sothing again and then slightly twitched his lips: "You don't an those prosthetics, do you?"
"Exactly!" Fenris nodded repeatedly, very happily saying, "Those are indeed prosthetics! The Naless Town is the headquarters of the Black rchant and the largest manufacturing point for Visas prosthetics! The prosthetics there can actually...
"Are you out of your damn mind?!" Rocky couldn't stand it any longer and interrupted Fenris, almost roaring, "You're planning to use those prosthetics as bait? Are you treating them like fools or treating like a fool?"
"Of course, we're not treating them like fools... uh, nor are we treating you," Fenris asked Rocky to calm down, "Please let explain; over the years, the quality of fake Visas Corpse Blocks manufactured by the Black rchants has been getting better and better, from just needing to be rot-proof at the start to now being practically indestructible for a short ti, even hard for professionals to distinguish. Of course, we're not planning to deceive them with these prosthetics. What I an to say is that these prosthetics, to so extent, have already gained so characteristics of the real corpse blocks."
Rocky's eyes widened instantly: "You an Godslayer?!"
The fake corpse blocks used by the Black rchants can attain Godslayer characteristics?!
What kind of technology changes destinies!
"Not quite." Fenris shook his head, "If creating Godslayer characteristics were possible, the Black rchants would have been eradicated long ago. They can't achieve Godslayer, but they can, to so extent, block divinity. Though this level is low, it does exist. Bishop Rocky, you should have experienced so of the Black rchants' high-end prosthetics that can even evade detection from so low-rank Divine Arts."
Rocky's brow slightly furrowed.
He indeed knew about this.
The small priests from Rhein's remote churches often fell for the Black rchants' scams, buying the fake corpse blocks.
It's not because they're stupid, but because the low-rank Divine Arts they possess are indeed ineffective for detection.
Of course, they are stupid as well; if not, why would they believe they could get authentic goods from these Black rchants...
Uh, so people indeed did.
Thinking about that damned Hand Eye, Rocky's face instantly darkened.
And Fenris continued speaking.
"These characteristics are weak, but they do exist, and theoretically, the gap in quality can be made up for with quantity," Fenris said with a light smile, "So for Edwin, the Naless Town is already an attractive enough bait. We'll just push him a bit, and naturally, he'll take the bait."
